Ive played wow for 4 years now and recently like 6 months ago i started on war, im a straight pvp guy so pve can suck it, and you know what? Wow doesnt even come close to the fun i have at rvrs in war, this comes from a true wowfan
Open realm vs realm is what I love about WAR. WoW cannot even come close. Also, Warhammer lore has been established for years. It has a gritty, earthy power about it. WoW is like watching Disney - fine if you like that but it's the equivalent of bubble gum pop music. Also, having a bigger subs base doesn't a better game make. If that it is your logic then all WoW players must be massive Sims fans as well. Sounds about right.

Everquest was before WoW and WoW stole many ideas from Everquest. Now you know the truth, are ya happy? The point is that WoW aint the center of the world.
WoW still has problem pulling off a well balanced PvP. That's what happens when you ship a game with no intent of having PvP in the first place and you decide to offer it.

Anyways aside from all the arguing, really good video here. I had been playing a Dwarf Ironbreaker and Slayer thinking that I wouldn't like the Engineer. But I made one a couple weeks ago and they're a BLAST to play. The guns, grenades, turrets, and even good melee as well, they're hectic! I highly recommend the Engineer for new players who aren't sure what to make.

The way the game works online is VERY different from the tabletop version which indeed has been around for well over 25 years now. That does not mean WoW stole the ideas for their online game from warhammer. They 'only' stole some features from warhammer online after it was released like the vehicles in pvp, and proper siege battles (although WoW managed to screw that up badly)
yea its pretty sad...WAR fanboys forever scarred by the 2008 WOTLK exodus. WAR could have been a great, amazing MMO...its better now than it was at launch...but its hard convincing people who left to come back, considering all the crap that happened at launch.

So much fun playing granadier... I easily outdamaged those sorcerers and fire mages (it is mostly AOE dmg, not single target, but still, hell of a pressure and some easy kills with those crazy dots)

WoW has a strong PvP side to you it ignorant bastard. It all depends on the class you play and the server you're on. They are both excellent games. WAR doesnt have such a cartoony look to it. But WoW has a lot more things that are possible in it. With every WAR video you see it's PvP. Wheres the raids? Wheres the dance videos people make of WoW? Wheres the huge arena tournaments that WoW has?

I played War a while back with a friend and i was an engineer, the funnest class i played next to the fire mage. my friend was a rune priest and we played for about a month. after a patch, something happened and my friend couldnt play the game. we contacted war support and they didnt even try to help figure out what the patch did to stop him from playing. he reinstalled the game and it still wouldnt work, so i quit too. no reason to play if my friend cant.

WAR is a lot more demanding then WOW if you dont have a good computer you could run it on low but it looks bad at low and if your comp can play WOW it doesnt mean you can play WAR
i have 2 questions where do u go to rvr and ok lets say im lvl 5 when u start a rvr will it start it with all enemys and other party members being lvl 5?
you go to the area in the zone marked for rvr, and no it will not put you with other lvl 5's, but it will put you with people of your tier (like 1-11) and if you are not 8, 18, 28, 35, depending on your tier, it will boost your stats and skills as if you were.
the game rocks now. new system sin place for orvr and tockens now are in place for all warded gear. come karak norn sever play for order look up vannder engineer ill say hi back

I was a vet In WoW before stupid WOTLK. that expansion totally ruined the game. I quit and found myself bored at times. I decided to buy this game and I love it. Every class is different and the 2 factions are different. The game's pvp, excuse me, RVR is perfect. I scale the game a 9.0/10. Just don't base this game off of WoW, you gotta remember it's a whole different game.

Nah My Engineer Whathedkns Leveled faster than anyother class I have I was Rank 40 and Renown 80 in about 4 game days, how much is that like 4 weeks or something pretty quick!

I played War a while back with a friend and i was an engineer, the funnest class i played next to the fire mage. my friend was a rune priest and we played for about a month. after a patch, something happened and my friend couldnt play the game. we contacted war support and they didnt even try to help figure out what the patch did to stop him from playing. he reinstalled the game and it still wouldnt work, so i quit too. no reason to play if my friend cant.

ok im look at this game no lag for all the ones ive watch...im thinking of getting...but wat do i need for this game to run like u guys im no comp nerd so just say in a long story short kimda terms plz.. ive got 3g memory and a run windows vista, and i got loads of RAM so im good on puting the game on, im curantly playing WoW dwarf hunter FULLY 25 man uldar geard and speced out :D

i just swapped from wow, if your comp can run wow it should run war fine. I havent experienced much pve for war but the pvp is much much better.

WAR is a lot more demanding then WOW if you dont have a good computer you could run it on low but it looks bad at low and if your comp can play WOW it doesnt mean you can play WAR

you go to the area in the zone marked for rvr, and no it will not put you with other lvl 5's, but it will put you with people of your tier (like 1-11) and if you are not 8, 18, 28, 35, depending on your tier, it will boost your stats and skills as if you were.

tier 1 is level 1-10 if you enter RVR you get boosted to level 8 [you revert to your original level when you exit rvr]
if you are level 9 your level stays the same [

I played right when it came out, good game, but it lacked something I can't put my finger on. Oh well going to get a new gamecard tomorrow and Im right now downloading the 1,3gb patch -.- just to play on a trail acc :P I do not know why O all the suddenly wanted to play so badly.

i played this game for about 2 months after release and it got boring pretty quick. The bugs were really annoying and it didn't seem like there wsa a lot to do in the game. How's this game now that it's been out for 8 months? I'd like to know I'd like to give it another try.

I was a vet In WoW before stupid WOTLK. that expansion totally ruined the game. I quit and found myself bored at times. I decided to buy this game and I love it. Every class is different and the 2 factions are different. The game's pvp, excuse me, RVR is perfect. I scale the game a 9.0/10. Just don't base this game off of WoW, you gotta remember it's a whole different game.

Nah My Engineer Whathedkns Leveled faster than anyother class I have I was Rank 40 and Renown 80 in about 4 game days, how much is that like 4 weeks or something pretty quick!
