  • My favorite parts were when those lazy unemployed crybaby occupy protestors got their skulls cracked.

  • @drinkmalk you sir are a goof! that is all.

  • When I was at Nathan Phillips Square In Toronto I Didn't Know This Song No Im IN LOVE With It!!!!!!

  • 14 cant stand behind the music

    lol

  • 14 ppl wont stand behind the music :P

  • I love this song:D

  • you know if she is trying to tell us something she should not have usen swears others wise it is ok

  • @bamboora9 fuck.

  • "None of us are free until all of us are free." -Audre Lorde

  • MAKE POOP

  • FUCK THE SYSTEM! FUCK THE GOVERNMENT!

  • Occupy Toronto !!!!!!!

  • This song is so inspiring!

  • I hit Replay like 66 times ^_^

  • does the guy get shot or does he just swear

  • I love this song, its so powerful. Ive watched this version countless times and each time it makes me sad every time because the reality of what our society values and what our world has become when it goes after what it wants is really reflected in this and its just very sad that people live in poverty and get physically hurt because of it all.

  • this should have been the official video...but that would be too political for someone still climbing poularity...hope she keeps doing stuff like this though. Not stupid songs just about sex like everything else

  • i loved this song, since the first time i heard it!

of course the beat is catchy, and her voice rly compliments the song, but other than that, the words are powerful! Go Anjulie!!

  • I like meaning of this song but i miss old Anjulie when she's pop soul girl.

  • i loveeee this song, but the music vid, some scenes are kinda scary..

  • that is an outstanding song

  • I love the song with the video. It makes me want to make a difference in the world and make it a better place everybody.

  • Love it!!!

  • If we ever go to war u would sing this song!!!

  • 2:58 VIVA LA REPÚBLICA! Free for Spain.. Free for the World!

  • this video makes me wanna go out and break shit

  • @jtamagi that's a great Limp Biskuit song. But i do agree with you. This song makes you want to be pro-active

  • that one picture with the guy with his casted arm gave me chills all over my body

  • FUCK THE POLICE

  • Fuckin vidio

  • Awesome song... 3

  • Did you make this video? its almost as good as the song !!

  • LAWL at 1:35 hahHAHAhaha

ps. awesome song with substance; props to the stellar vid

  • The vid has nuthin 2 do w the song. The message in the vid had more meaning than the song lyrics. The song itself is good and catchy but the video overpowers the weak message in the song.

  • @KJRYVLLL Not really...I mean, the imagery was taken from real life situations to back the message in the song. "stand behind the music" as in stand up for what you believe in. Which is exactly what everyone in the clips was doing (some still are). Suits it fine, I think...

  • What's the meaning of this song?

  • EPIC

  • GOOD GOOD MUSIC

  • it is so sad :(

  • preachy...

  • this song is totally awsome!!!

  • My favourite song.

  • the first song i've heard in a long time that isnt about love or sex. love it! Great song anjulie!

  • underrated

  • @XxiHeart soo truee

  • Lots of scenes from Occupy LA in the vid. Nice song anjulie! ~~ Nessa <3

  • this sounded better live...but omg I love it..wouldn't have heard it if I didnt go to Nathan Phillips Square...I hardly listen to the radio or watch music video channels...glad I heard it

  • We are the 99% Occupy! #OWS

  • Luv the message luv the song luv the vid Anjulie u rock! And I dont think police should be able to beat up protesters! Every one has their own opinion right? Thumps up if u agree

  • The people that get beat up by the police, most of the time, probably deserved it..

  • socialist political song. whatever. i see shes trying to send a message about standing up for something but i still dont get it. because this video makes no sense.

  • i love this song ♥

  • i love how the world is so fucked these dyz with all the protests all the battle all the hattin all the cops beatin people CORUPTION i think what we ar trying to get acrossed is that WE NEED CHANGE lets face it how long are we going to survive clear cutting forests wipeing out eco systems poluting this shits real weather u like it or not STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIVE

  • You are truly an amazing person.

  • i was watching this and i randomly started crying................

  • I love her and what she stands for. Her background is Guyana and that means a lot to young girls whose background is Guyana. You don't see a lot of Guyaneese singers in the music industry. You mostly see white and black singers theres finally a brown singer and that means a lot to me because i'm brown and guyaneese.

  • @iamsohott732 you dont see a lot of a Guyaneese people out of Guyana period

  • @iamsohott732 FTW

  • I'm not a fan of this style of music, but a friend of mine showed me this song, and I really like it. I love when artists having meaning to their songs, rather then just sputtering out whatever so that they can produce an album. An artists music should come from the heart, not just be a cash grab.

  • Wow this video is touching, great job Anjulie you are giving a true message

    thank you :)

  • wow she can actually rap pretty gud :p

P.S can someone please tell me what exactly this song means

  • 0:10 awe :)

  • the lyrics and the video are actually hypnoizing..tell me how i replayed this for 2 hours straight

  • I love the song but I absolutely hate anarchists...

  • Not***

  • @TheNewFilmGeneration how am I being immature? I'm just saying some of the homeless people actually try, they work, put up with living on the streets. I'm just saying people get that stereo type of homeless. And that's bot fair at all. And yes, most of it is being not educated, what if you're barely holding on, and you lose your job? Your house gets taken from the bank and you're on the streets. That's all I'm trying to say, it kinda came out wrong how I put it the first time.

  • @IbeJigsaw only if you could understand how hard it is, picking up a career after living on the street majority of your life. Having nowhere to go in the middle of winter. Go fuck yourself you unworthy piece of shit. I bet you're some spoiled little rich kid, having to not work for anything. Someone needs to knock some sense into you.

  • @ZzCoNfUsIonZz There are no excuses. You're responsible for your own actions. Many people are rags to riches stories, you control your own fate. Those who blame the corporations, government, etc. are simply too lazy or incompetent to actually work and pay their dues. I'm not saying living on the street isn't hard, but complaining about people who are financially successful is immature, petty, and speaks volumes about the individual who complains.

  • @TheNewFilmGeneration I completely agree with you...

  • @TheNewFilmGeneration I completely agree with you

  • amazing meaning

  • 92.5 kiss! THANKS

  • Click here to watch the more slutty and less meaningful video

  • This video is better then the other version.

  • I love the Riotshield Juggernauts @ 1:54 :]

  • Awesome and meaningful song. People die to Voice their thoughts like in Syria, Libya and all of the Arab countrys

  • This song is essentially about empowering people who are too lazy or incompetent to get jobs, hate commerce because of an inability to actually maintain a career in a solid industry, and simply resentment towards those who have more. You people are fucking idiots.

  • this is the fucking most ridiculous song on a lyrical level i've EVER heard.

it's almost ironic to hear a song about this in the context and market for which this song is intended.

even better, the fucking idiots who are buying into this as actually sending a good message. are you that easily fooled? i swear people are getting dumber

  • Hey Anjulie, so happy that you are playing at the New Year’s Bash in Toronto hosted by CityTV, part of the Rogers corporate empire! Rogers made over 1.2 billion dollars in profit the first nine months this year, glad you will be helping them make even money!

  • Doesn't Anjulie remind me of Cher Lloyd because it does to me

  • Thumbs up if you will stand up against injustice!!

  • She's definitly a Brand New Chick in Hollywood ;)

  • Truly Awesome... :)

  • love it, good song lyrics, good music video.♥

  • Thumbs up for the Riotshield Juggernauts @ 1:54

  • A song with a meaning? This is rare.....Anjulie gets me

  • @iCookie1Eater look up "these times" by saftey suit. That song has an amazing meaning and it helps get me through tough times trust me its unreal

  • @iCookie1Eater It's not really rare, more just rare in mainstream pop music nowadays. If you go outside the genre, you'll find lots of music with meaning, important messages, etc.

  • Thumbs up if you could not spell her name in the search box :)

  • your on your way with this one anj

  • Anjulie, you should pull your song from KISS 92.5 (owned by Rogers) to show solidarity with those fighting corporate greed!

  • What the hell is this, is all I have to say! It sounds like Cher Lloyd and this is not a good thing, sorry follow up to brand new bitch that is for certain.

  • sound familiar...cant remember where i heard it b4. lol

  • @goatmaggot07 my teacher was in occupy protest thing but he back now

  • song has really good story 1 more thing fuck grammar

  • I love this song, it's meaningful and SKILLZ

    I luv u Anjulie

    ur an awsome singer/rapper

this song is my new FAVORITE <3<3<3<3<3

  • what is the 99% ?

its a good song but hard to follow the video until i know what the protest was for o.o

  • @MyAwesomeSocks Occupy wall street, and every other occupy

"somewhere" going on right now. Also every protest that has ever taken place. The song has nothing to do with the video, the song's about people getting rich by creating bullshit music, music that they don't even really enjoy or stand behind.

  • I got the lyrics for this song on my channel! xD

  • omg i love this

  • Hmm .. nice music!

  • I doubt anyone is going to occupy @ 0:20

  • Comment removed

  • She looks brown, is she? LOL this is a random question.

  • @4everbiebersmine

lol I was wondering that too but to be honest her voice is really beautiful. :)

  • @PunkAvril1

Got this wikipedia lol: Anjulie is the stage of name of Anjulie Persaud, a Canadian singer/songwriter from Oakville, Ontario Canada, a suburb outside of Toronto. She was born and raised in Canada, and her parents are from Guyana of Indian descent.

  • Awesome song. But the occupy movement was a fucking waste of time and resources. Majority of the people had no idea what they were protesting and were just there to fuck shit up.

  • 92.5555555555555555555555555555555 :)

  • i love the song and video but i could have done without the bloody guys face

  • I just failed my test right now and I was walking home I was thinking about this song...and it just seemed to fit in :)

  • The first time i heard this song (on the radio) i thought it was cher lloyd. Im really happy that i was wrong.

  • @imthebookworm

SAME. I searched up "cher lloyd stand behind the music". For a second, I thought she actually managed to make a decent song haha

  • This song is so true. For example Occupy Toronto. No one realises that they are fight for US. Yet we all treat them like a pest. Thumbs if you support occupy, and help spread the message.

  • i love this song but would like to see eminem cover this it would be sick!

  • FYUCKING SICK YY0

  • My favourite song

I thought Emily osment sung this song and I thought the video would be totally different but I LOVE this song

  • LOL propaganda of communists

  • she earned my props !

  • 92.5 played it....now cant stop hitting the replay button

  • WTF u see at 2:07 that guy knocks that girl WTF

  • 3:11 is just sad.

  • i HATE artists that can't "stand behind the music". And the Artists that only do music for the money and fame it drives me crazy they don't even have the guts to write one darn charity song. Anjulie is SOOOOOOOOOO not one of those artists

  • unbelieveable, great song, can t get enuf

  • straight up LOVE her

  • Very great song. I know you for 3 years now and I really like most of your songs. Good luck for your carrier.

    Florent from Paris (France)

  • I absolutely adore this video...so powerful -3

  • 1:18 = my fucking hero !

  • INSPIRE

  • Continued from below... That includes anything that is stopping a police officer from doing his job like spitting at an officer, all the way to worst things like burning cars.. Its called riot control for a reason, all of you that think we dont need police would be the first ones knocking at the police departments doors asking for them back after 1 week.. If you hate cops its because you have or have had something to hide

  • I understand that there are some police officers that push their authority too far; but st the same time its easy for people to sit there and criticize police officers for using too much force.. Its called setting an example and sometimes it needs to be done, you take one over aggressive protester down in hopes that it will calm the rest of the people down. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt, anything more than walking down the street with a picket sign is breaking the law

  • the first time i heard this song was on the radio and the lyrics have always been in my head i love this! <3

  • This is an awesome song and a sad thing that police do. I MEAN WHY WOULD SOMEONE SHOOT A GUY VIDEOTAPING?! Assholes.

  • this song is KICK ASS.

  • Alot of the footage is from the Toronto G-20 Summit...o.O

  • she has a lot of guts to make this song and i totally respect her for it! rock on!

  • I really like this song, and she reminds me of MIA : ]

  • Thumbs up if u think Arab states and Israel should stop fighting :)

  • Thumbs up if Terra Naomi brough you here!

  • Can someone explain to me how socialism is bad for the "99%"... Unless i miss understood that sign

  • I've love her since boom...my fav was rain & some dumb girl this is my new fav.
