@Mixarenan I can tell you a bit, it was used as a battle song in Africa during all that stuff with the messed up government, and the song was banned in Africa. Also the song is in 3 pieces all, an it is like a story which features one man as he goes through different faces of his life, and realization (face 1 face 2 face 3) and it is obviously very criticizing to the society. Also this song is not commercial, comfortably numb is commercial. This is just criticizing the way we formed our society

Hi mate, thanks I've already made leaps and bounds since finding your stuff here. However, in this tab, I'm lost with bars 19 and 20 . The tab looks like you play Am, G, Am, G then traditional D before the F. Your tube looks and sounds like you're playing something different (and better) - are you? Also, when you say that about the 'wrong' key, do you mean your F? Does Nuado play a C instead and is he technically correct? Anyways, thanks again - you rock!

19 & 20 "leave those kids alone" Am, ba-dum(G,A) Am (root 6th) G (root 6th) Am G D (with F# on 4th)...yep, you are correct, that's that chords, the sound is all in the strumming, I hit a few percussive strokes at the end, not quite like the tab.

Correct, Naudo plays the technically correct C "all and all you're just a" G "nother brick in the wall". I prefer the incorrect F-E; to me it sounds okay ;)

Got a few more Naudo cover covers coming up; I'm mucking around with Great Gig in the Sky to play back to back with Breathe...it sounds *great* but is so hard to play it just isn't possible to get it right. I've started looking at different keys to simplify it; but it isn't helping. Rick sure used some interesting chords.

One day I'll be able to do an completely fingerstyle version of DSOTM; maybe then I'll take my show on the road ;)

Hopefully putting out tabs is addictive too - it's great to be able to get a headstart on learning a piece. I'm also keeping my eye on a piece of software, melodyne, which might just have a side effect of being able to almost automatically generate tabs. Positioning will have to be done manually, but if the notes can be automatically generated then suddenly getting tabs won't be so rare! ~~~~JAW

Thanks UP. There are a couple of SOYCD versions around, but really, it doesn't lend itself to fingerstyle all that well. I bet Naudo could do a good version though ;)

I've already been playing nylon for about 2 months but it doesn't have a pickup so I won't record from it. My new nylon with pickup arrives sometime this month. I've got 3 new songs ready to record for when it arrives... :)

Yeah, i did notice the omitted solo. I, unlike the others, will say that was AMAZING. You are so lucky to be able to play like that. It must be so fun. I hope I can reach that stage where you can actually play what you feel, because ATM i'm stuck at the 'learning phase'. ugh. It sucks. I wouldn't necessarily call that song commercial, as much as widespread, because later Gilmour solo stuff is much more commercial IMO.

Anyway, amazing playing. Naudo, whom i don't know, must be pretty good too.

I am an amatuer hack compared to The Great Maestro Naudo. Most of my inspiration has come from his videos for the past 2 years. If you haven't checked him out, do it!

The advantage of me, IMHO, is that I can take something from Naudo, simplify it down so that normal humans can play it, and post a video with the tab.
