  • i really miss the crown victoria

  • yep.... this is what the new falcon will be based around for us here in australia.

  • This is a great looking car. I love the face that it don't have the sway back windows like every other car. Ford really did a great job

  • Such a great looking car. Hopefully the next gen will go RWD. I love the interior of this Taurus and the 2.0 Ecoboost is a good idea. Great in the mountians and great MPG. 30+ in a car that big.

  • @yellowcow13 ....never ... this is not a race car for boys

  • @charles43110 What?

  • Turbocharge a 5.0! Then you've got a real S H O !

  • ford should make a taurus that competes with the 300 srt8

  • pretty spiffy!

  • damn, I just Got the car 6 months ago, and they're already releasing a new one, i'am going to kill the agent in my country for not brining this up , thats cheating ??

  • i think the SHO front grill is not as good looking :/

  • i cant believe 6 people dont like this. IDIOTS

  • @mgftw132

I know what IDIOTS. its 8 people now. they must drive priuses

  • wow the front looks awesome

  • ive sat inside the current gen taurus, and the front seats suck, the center console is so big that there isnt that much leg room, and that really makes it unconftrable, the fusion was a lot better in my opinion.

  • That interior looks pritty nice

  • Great call on the Turbo engine option.

  • Ford announced they're going to invest heavily in Lincoln to make it a world class luxury brand.

  • @1vdn992 That would be sweet!

  • @giannial1985 Ford investing in Lincoln,

    watch?v=zrLkMlL09Ho

  • @1vdn992 Thanks :)

  • WOW! Its beautiful!

  • As long as Ford is in Detroit and that accountants make all the important decisions, the company won't succeed.

  • @USA4July1776 Wtf are you talking about?

  • @GIUGIK1 Are you too dumb to understand?

  • @USA4July1776 No, but your comment is deeply stupid. Ford has succeeded. It is the second most profitable car company in the world, after VW.

So you're saying that if Ford moves out of Detroit, it will succeed? Good news pokemon. Ford's headquarters are located in Dearborn , Michigan, and not Detroit.

Also, how would make decisions about spending money without accountants to tell you what makes financial sense?

On another note, are you inbred or just stupid?

    On another note, are you

  • @GIUGIK1 "Inbred"

I thank you for exposing your typically bigotted and hateful remarks, lefturd, as you caricature anyone you don't know as some toothless redneck living in a trailer, an accepted form of racism and prejudice in leftist ranks, whereas poor, agrarian Europeans from Poland and Ireland are mocked and shown scorn from the same hypocritical demagogues who pretend to care for them... douche.

Volkswagen then Toyota are the world's most profitable car companies in 2011... you liar.

  • @USA4July1776 ...Agrarian Europeans , huh? Lol. Way to bring in a non- sequitur.

Also, I am not a leftist. I'm as independent as it gets. However, when you're losing the debate, cry racism , and debate is over. Nice. Thing is , you lose.

Also, here's a friendly tip : Before you call someone a liar , learn how to check the sources on the articles you google. F-word is shady. Mine is: The Investment Telegraph . Google : VW Overtakes Ford as Most Profitable Carmaker.

  • @GIUGIK1 I'm the one trying to focus on the discussion-at-hand, you're the one with the petty, recycled personal attacks. By-the-way, I don't care what you call yourself, Independent, Leftist, whatever... your tactics are those of a repulsive lefturd.

  • @GIUGIK1 As for the problem with accountants making every important decision in the US auto industry, American cars now have as much pedigree and charisma as what an accountant conveys.

Everything is sacrificed to the altar of what the accounting department decides for next fiscal year, there's no consistent line-up, models come and go, when accountants went for cheap, quality and value suffered, squandering the public's good will and ruining the reputation of American cars for a generation.

  • @USA4July1776 I agree. However, the problem was weak management, not strong willed accountants. You can't blame accountants for doing their job. However, if you follow the autoworld lately, you will see that the Japanese automakers suffer from the same issue. Their offerings are cheap- feeling, poorly driving, mediocre looking appliances.

This is where your argument about Detroit falls. The Japanese are Tokyo based. Hence, evidence for my "weak management" argument. You need strong management.

  • @GIUGIK1 The management styles of the German, Japanese and American auto-industries can be summarized as engineering-, operations- and accounting-centric respectively. As you say, they are the offices around whom management has decided to hang their hats on, and each have problems. The Germans tend to over-engineer their cars, the Japanese have expanded so fast that their total quality management has broken-down, while we Americans have sacrificed long-term brand legacy to short-term gain.

  • I think the new headlights look JUST LIKE the new Toyota Highlander. I am also disappointed that they're already unveiling a newer Taurus since I just got a new one in December.

  • @halned2149 "I am also disappointed that they're already unveiling a newer Taurus since I just got a new one in December."

Yet another slap in the face of American car consumers...

  • woooow. im a chrysler guy 100% and i LOVE this car. good job ford... good job!

  • Beautiful..

  • I like the Superman Grille....

  • didn't ford just come out with new taurus like a year ago

  • Damn Detroit is back... Ford and GM are kicking ass again just look at the quality cars the have been releasing recently.

  • @Greendude33 You forgot to mention Chrysler too. Many people won't like to admit it but they have redone just about EVERYTHING in their Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM brands

  • 2013...how about waiting until the year 2012 actually gets here...what is it with car companies, can they give me the winning numbers for the Mega Millions Lottery for 2012 so I can buy one of their cars!

  • @JOHNINCOLUMBUS well they want to know what people think about it a few years in advance. if people like it theyll start production in 2012 so they can start selling in late 2012.

  • @junck5318 0 He said it will go on sale early next year as a 2013, it seems they have already made up minds on the final production car.

  • The current generation Ford Taurus is the best mid size sedan in the market. It's loaded with features previous generation Taurus' lacked.

  • @tnguyen318 Mid-size? Have you seen one of these up close? They're enormous, notably larger than other large cars (like the Hyundai Genesis or Chevrolet Impala). No, the Taurus is a full-size (the Fusion is Ford's mid-size).

  • The Taurus SHO is pretty big car. I guess the regular Taurus is the same size. Good car.

  • This Tank is awesome haha

  • Of all the things they coulda restyled....they chose to restyle the grille and headlights?!?!?! C'mon Ford....everyone knows those tail lights are horrible....thats what shoulda been restyled....

  • @soiceyboy33 Actually they restyled the taillights....somewhat. Look at two pics side by side and you'll see what a mean.

  • F*ck the Ecoboost V6 and give it the 5.0 Liter V8 from the 211 Mustang GT and I'm sold.

  • @mondeost2202008 I think Ford is going in the right direction by using smaller, fuel efficient high-powered V6s and fours rather than V8s. They are being progressive and using technology to make power instead of sheer mass. Bravo Ford! However, an Aussie Falcon with a Coyote 5.0 V8 would be a great alternative to this car. Sell the Taurus as your volume large performance sedan and have the Falcon as a low production super sedan for muscle heads like me.

  • @rawsketch @rawsketch Well I think they should improve on using lighter components as well. Even though it has a powerful enough engine, it still weighs a lot and imagine the potential of the smaller engines not to mention the Ecoboos V6 if the car were a bit lighter.

And yes they should bring the Falcon to the US. The Aussies are the only ones to get the 4 door muscle car from Ford. They have the "one Ford plan" after all :)

  • @mondeost2202008 Cars in general are heavy as tanks these days because of all the safety gear and technology that goes into them. Fitting a car with 10 air bags, traction & stability control, abs, all-wheel drive and all the electronic do-dads that consumers expect in their cars pushes the weight up dramatically. It would be nice to see if Ford could use lighter materials like Audi does with the A8 and still sell their cars at reasonable prices. Then they would truly be on top of their game.

  • @rawsketch Don't know if I'm right but I think the Taurus is heavier than most of its rivals and some of them are RWD.

If Ford is going to use aluminum like Audi, the price would go up but I think they can find another way to lighten up the car at the fraction of the cost. The mustang though could use some aluminum body panels ;)

  • What a huge improvement in looks compared to the old Taurus. Atleast Ford knows how to style cars in the right direction.

  • The front looks even nicer, and it has plenty of power, this engine in the F150 produces 420 lb ft and will pull a semi trailer up Pikes Peak.

  • y dont they make the sho a 5-speed? or 6-speed?

  • performance package? the sho is supposed to be the performance edition

  • The front end looks like a Toyota Tundra....yuck.

  • @JayConstant09 Really? I can't see it at all. I love this and I hate the Tundra.

  • Sexy.

  • Looks cool!

  • UGLY!!!!!

  • Good looking car....bravo Ford.

  • 2013 It is still 2011 Why are cars that come out in America in 2011 for example named 2012 or in this case 2013?

  • @aquaphoenixx they only show it on Auto show and i think it haven't out yet~2013 maybe is this year it will come out~

  • It is pretty cool looking for a sedan. Very heavy 1st gen Acura TSX influence on the front end though.

The problem is how Ford (and others) built such garbage in the past so people would hesitate to cut them a check and drive off with one. They should have stuck with JBL for premium audio. The light "sony" logo does not give off a high end vibe.

  • @texan176 What you said is true. But Ford sold most cars in the US last month , and the Explorer and Focus aren't fully online yet. People forget and forgive , especially in the light of new evidence, evidence that suggests that these might be, in fact, the best cars on the market.

  • The SHO needs the 2010 Mustang's 4.6L V8.

  • Looks like they went back to the original pre-production tail lamp design for the Taurus. I think it looks sharp.

  • didn't the taurus literally get a redesign a year or two ago??

  • @cheesepie1011 There's a difference between a redesign and a refresh. This is the latter.

  • @cheesepie1011 It did, but Ford promised to be ever-improving with their updates. Given their new-found competition in the new Charger and 300, I think updates are not only desirable, but necessary.

  • Looks good, I wish they would get rid of that huge butt. The car is enormous.

  • 0:44 fukin sexy

  • good job, Ford

  • Keep up the good work Ford! Upgrade the mustangs interior please!

  • Wow, Ford is doing it right! GM has always been my favorite car company but they are so behind I don't think they can ever catch up. What do they make that could compete with this? The Lacross, which is supposed to be upmarket from this? Its true competition, the Impala is just an also-ran place holder and has been for years now. Why didn't they just re-badge the G8 which was the best car GM has made in a generation?

  • @rawsketch I agree, get the G8 some leather, chrome, wood, some mood lighting, rebadge it as the Caprice and call it a day.

They'd get customers rushing in no time.

  • @mondeost2202008 The G8 is noisy, gets terrible gas mileage, rides rough, has poor build quality, and Ford should copy a bankrupt car company, that's the reason why GM lost 3/5s of its business.

It's juvenile to think every car and truck should be built to race each other, there are other important factors that should be considered when designing and building vehicles.

  • @1vdn992 Well not to race but at least consider something to go up against the Taurus or the 300.

My biggest complaint about Chevrolet though is the styling. The new Malibu for instance is a big step up but the styling inside and out is not really there yet especially that front grill that reminds me of the Chevrolet Captiva and that's no compliment.

I am also not impressed with their Buick Lineup with the styling and the new Cadillacs look too much like the CTS which I think is getting old.

  • i dont like the new steering wheel they should have kept it the same

  • The SHO has the same wheels as the new Jeep SRT8

  • very nice

  • give the SHO 400hp

  • wait what, turbocharged 6 cylinder gets the same power as the NA one?

  • @sssmeee No the SHO's 3.5 twin turbo V6 is pushing almost 400 horses and torque I forgot the exact numbers but its something like 385 hp/tq...Crank of course.

  • @youngdre04 It's actually 365hp/350tq

  • @TaurusSHO97 Oh ok cool, haha it's somewhere around the neighborhood

  • not bad not bad at all

  • Nice

  • Ford made this car sexy.
