I dropped a computer case on my toe once.. it swelled up like a mother fucker. I hit it right on the nail.

I had to release the pressure. I am the biggest baby in the entire world. I get scratched and it's the end of the world to me.

But.. I don't remember the nail having any pain at all.. I heated up a nail and slowly worked it through my nail by rotating a providing pressure.

The only thing you don't want is to go THROUGH and hit the meat inside. You have like.. 1mm clearence. GOOD LUCK!

@LanIost this happened to me a few years ago.. i accidentally dropped a heavy speaker on my big toe.. it swelled up really quickly.. worst pain i think i've ever felt.. as soon as it dropped on my toe, it hit so many nerves going up my spine... i couldn't bear with the pain of the swelling and pressure.. so i took a knife... sanitized it.. and slit underneath my toenail to release the pressure that had built up.. =D
