GIMP Tutorial: Realistic flame V2

Hi what about using the Smuge tool instead of the Move Tool when making the flames, that is the method used in Photoshop CS4

i think the overlay was a little off when it comes to real fire, I personally would not have used that as the overlay, but i guess its all personal choice really :)

I just used the incandescent gradient. It works pretty well.

You don't have to download the flame gradient you can use the german flap smooth gradient!

Can you figure out how to add flames to one particular spot in an image?
