  • I had an idea where you hold the pick normally and take a second one and place it between your middle and ring fingers. I'm trying to develop a technique that can be used to hit the higher strings with minimal movement. It could be good for jazz, blues, acoustic, and possibly even metal.

  • jim dunlop transparent picks. They come with the ability to disappear and you will never find it.

  • interesting concept...like the way billy sheehan uses four fingers to pluck bass strings.

  • umm, this isnt really fast, like i play way faster with one pick

  • Why did i never think of that?!?!?!?!?! Ever try sweep picking with 2+ picks?

  • Why did i never think of that?!?!?!?!?!

  • 5 picks!! oh wait its call your fingers, ha noobs

  • see why didn't i think of that, that is genious

  • i could probly do dis wit 1 really thin pick but i wud probly be in bits afterwards

  • i can do this with one pick

  • Didn't everybody try this at one point or another?

  • Uh... I play faster than that with one pick. Just sayin

  • Why play that fast? There's a certain point that speed just makes it uglier.

  • @MrLino

That's not fast compared to Yngwie Malmsteen

    Yngwie sucks but still.

  • i REALLY hope some poor kid that has no idea what he is doing on the guitar comes across this and thinks that it is a great thing to do.

  • @KatsuGuitar the kid u are talking about made this video

  • Uh, what? I thought when he started playing, that was the demonstration of his speed with one pick. That's not that fast, I can do that with a single pick and I've only been playing for a year and a half.

  • No cookie from me big guy.

  • but what with crossing strings and not doubling any note....xD

  • wouldnt two if anything make it harder and less precise?

  • that speed can be easily achieved with just one pick though lol ... 2 is unnessisary

  • lol this is a pretty good video. That's fast man, well done.

  • and this is how i broke 3 strings at the same time:)

  • its not working for me

  • oh yeah

  • please check out my ''NEW RIFF'' video on my channel I play with a 50mm pick and it's much faster than this goof.....

  • Thanks for soo much comments, and also thanks to maytons place.

  • Haha pretty cool :P

  • nice... but some of us arent rich enough to afford two picks!?!?! jk but i can play that song to. jk again well good idea.

  • Actually Dick Dale uses this double pick playing in his song miserlou and he plays that fast as shit, so it does work if you use it right.

  • I mean no offense but... don't waste your time trying to invent stupid stuffs or tricks, use that for find your own expression and feel on your guitar. That's better, I can bet.

  • nothing wrong with experimenting a little, obviously the dude can play. youre right but, hes just having fun.

  • indeed, it's just a lil bit sad playing with 2 pics... hehe

  • what if no one ever tried tapping, or bending the string?

  • No one tried to play with his ass too, I guess...

  • alright i was trying to be cool with you but i guess you are just an asshole.

  • I was joking, dude... smile to life. ;-D

  • alright , with so many assholes on youtube its hard to tell sometimes...

  • True, man!

  • Paul Gilbert did a sweep with his ass one time...

  • @PikkaBird LOL

  • waste of time, i can do faster with just 1 pick (isn't it so amazing how i can play with only ONE plectrum) wooo magical sorcery or wot eh???? ha lol

  • that´s not fast...

  • How come I can do that with 1 pick? Thats weird.

  • It's called tremelo picking and it's a lot cleaner

how about instead of half-assing it you actually learn your instrument.

  • you can go faster with one pick and practice.

  • @matt420740 yeah true that, its not even that fast, you can go that speed without two picks

  • hey! u could use that 2 play miserlou/pump it by black eyed peas/ dick dale

  • i hold two picks between the same fingers but slightly askew to make it sound double tracked

  • this will decrease in at least 50% the incidence of arm injury among death metal players, I'm sure!

  • hey luke, try taking two picks and glueing an eight inch spacer in the middle.just make sure you get your finger out of trhe way.

  • hell i can do that with no pics

  • i kno so could i

  • Nice innovation. The effect is impressive.

  • Grazie a te mio caro my friend!!! bravo!!!

  • man you can get twice that speed easly with one pick, I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything but it is true

  • thanks

  • cool vid.

  • That is so freaking pro -_-

  • im gonna test out :P...but 1 don't have any pics...:/
