The most I will ever do to my hair is put it in a ponytail (it is long and very thick). I have a formal party that I have to go to next week and can't really afford a stylist. I did this along with you, it is so easy to do by yourself but is still very classy. Thank you SO much for this! :)

One question, doesnt putting your hair up put a lot of tension on your head and hair? Which causes breakage and makes your hair grow slower?

I guess anything that pulls your hair at the roots would cause tension and breakage. However, I find that if I put my hair up, I'm less likely to curl or straighten it with heat, which is much more damaging. If you're really hardcore at protecting your hair, you should definitely only put your hair up loosely :)
