I think you missed the point of what the real critical issue is. Congress and OUR president is passing a bill that 85% of THE UNITED STATES DOES NOT WANT. Yes, the USA is currently looking for Health Reform, but NOT THIS BILL, because it WILL NOT focus on the issues you believe it's going to handle. So yes, those questions asked by those paranoid people are the correct questions to be asked.

Amybluf, you said there is a "difference between private health coverage and government coverage." Surely you understand that Obama's health reform is calling for EXPANDING private health coverage and private insurance to those that are not insured? Hospitals, doctors, nurses will remain private. And private insurance is expanded. It's very similar to Commonwealth Care passed under Republican Romney in Massachussetts. Good grief.

I dont trust the government or the private sector or to provide affordable quality health care. The cost of health care has more than doubled in the last 10 years. More companies as well as middle/low income families are going without health coverage in this country. Something has got to change. whats the solution?

@tex959 - Good point, single payer is not reasonable and wouldn't work for America but at the same time, opening state lines and deregulation will only give insurance companies more leeway to raise premiums...this bill gives the American people more power which is why they will pass it.

@kd1s You are correct. Everyone keeps talking about more taxes and don't realize that they are paying taxes via fees, increased premiums, etc. I will gladly pay the additional tax for full access. We need to stop protecting insurance companies and large businesses rather than individuals.  Most people don't know what they have to fear and are inadvertantly protecting companies like blue cross blue shield against their own self interest. They are all parroting reporters on the crazy channel.

I went to the doctor under my health plane monday.Cost me 5 dollars and I was in and out in 10 minutes.
