I definately agree. No one should be denied the right of self defence simply because they live in a government provided home or because of their sexual orientation. Those are not sificent grounds for denial. A denial under those circumstances is arbitrary. By the way, I love pink floyd (thats the music playing in the backround).

Public housing(Section 8) can do what they want. If you want to lose rights and be under the governments supervision, then live in public housing. If you want to have the full protections of the Constitution, then you need to get your own property that has 0% relation to government. I suggest people move out of public government housing and into their own. I disagree with hate crime. It is always applied unequally and pick and choose. If you kill someone, you kill someone. Color doesn't matter.

Hate crime law is a violation of the 1st Amendment because if punishes a person for their beliefs. A person has a right to be racist, as long as they don't hurt another person.

No one needs or deserves special attention for assault. Assaulting a straight, white male is just as bad as the same happening to a gay, black male. To treat one group special from another means that one of them are second class.

Only those who haven't been affected in there lives by hatred based on race, colour or sexual orientation. On the matter of gun control, well it's really useless here. Canada is less violent as a society than our neighbours to the south and therefore whether there are guns or not the number of murders wouldn't really change.

Hate crime laws are unnecessary because they put a group of people above another. If laws on assault and others are enforce, there would be no need for hate crime laws. As if you would care about the political beliefs of the person attacking you.

You don't really hear of someone who attacks a white male being guilty of a hate crime, so a physical attack on anyone should just be a crime, no matter their beliefs.

Don't worry, I support armed defense against any aggressor, no matter what their background is. I believe people should be able to openly express who they are and be able to defend themselves from whoever wishes to do them harm.

You did not offend me. When I said "victimization," I mean the feeling that you are helpless and always need help, usually through government programs. Many blacks have this attitude and it really hurts them.

I am black, but I don't mind homosexuality. When you say black people as a whole, you are throwing in people like me, which can create stereotypes that are negative. Think about how most white people feel.

I think it is just a group of close-minded people doing the name-calling.
