i read that he need 3 people need for playing this nice number :)

  • Bravo, Sir! Bravo!

  • I love the smell of napalm in the morning!

  • @kalteich God bless DuPont and napalm!!

  • Shake the roofbeams and rattle the windows!

  • Spectacular!

  • Magnificent organ, however, I'd like to see who the organist is, at the console, playing "Ride of the Valkyries" and admire his playing such a magnificent organ, in stead of still photos.

  • Das kann nicht sein !!! Der "böse" Wagner auf der Großen Kirchen-Orgel ... und trotzdem ist es WUNDERSCHÖN .... Bravo Mehr davon Da capo !!! AR.

  • Great performance but who is the organist and where are they in the video?

  • Moved to tears.

    Thanks!

  • umm.. Dear Santa?

  • DATS WHY DAT DUDE RIGHT DER DANIEL BRYAN IS IN MY FAV FIVE DAWG

  • Daniel Bryan! *Clap, clap, clapclapclap*

    Daniel Bryan! *Clap, clap, clapclapclap*

    Daniel Bryan! *Clap, clap, clapclapclap*

  • wow !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow

  • Behold! The Human Octopus! :D

  • there's a scene in kim newman's novel "the bloody red baron" in which a captain-nemo like character caled robur (from jules verne's master of the world) plays this in a zeppelin constructed for dracula

  • killin the rabbit, oh brunhilde ewe r so wuverlee

  • Nice arrangement! Beautiful - beautiful organ!! THAT'S what an organ should be, yeah baby!! :D

  • I use Vagner Scares the HELL outta Charlie!!!!!

  • im wet...

  • Casavants are awesome. They're Canadian, eh?

  • thought its a amon amarth cover on organ...

  • Great !

  • Impressive!

  • Awesome! Best organ interpretation of this wild piece I've ever heard. Loved it...and I'm not an organist but afficionado. You kill, JOSH!

  • Very nice and professional and accurate arrangement and great interpretation!!! I have just one problem with compatibility "Walküre vs. Church space", but as organist - I understand that :-).

  • Are you planning on going on concert? For the sake of the grips I hope not. But if you did you'd put Kieth Emmerson to shame.

  • Nice!

  • Excellent transcription, masterly played!

  • THAT MY BOY D BYRAN

  • I still love listening to this CD Josh...

  • the first midi file ever created

  • I have heard this organ in person and I would have loved to hear this live. You used this instrument showing off the magnificence of this Casavant gem. Stupendous arrangement. The Gods must have been looking down and smiling at you!!! BRAVO!!!!

  • I have a tendency toward the more "robust" lower sounding organs, but even with the treble frequencies resounding, you can almost see the Vs riding across the sky.

  • congratualations!!!!

  • that´s sooo awsome

  • Thank you for posting this video, I am amazed by the arangements!

  • This organ sounds fantastic... also thanks to the acoustics of the environment..

  • i want this played at my funeral

  • Kill the wabbit . . .

  • @b43xoit ...... LOL!!!!!! that is EXACTLY what I thought too... KILL THE WAABBBIIITTT

  • Can't hear this piece without thinking about an air cavalry attack on a Vietnamese village

  • Daniel Bryan's theme song lol

  • I have never heard reeds which are so 'in tune'. No temperature issues in your church then. Whilst I really enjoyed this, the total lack of wrong notes (I see you used midi input) and clinical nature of the performance did start to pall after a while - but you can't have everything!

  • L'orgue est un instrument sensationnel !

  • Have never in my life seen trumpets on an pipe organ..

  • @dtiydr Trumpets are common in organs, but this way of mounting them is a bit less common. It's called en chamade or spanish trumpet and isn't that unusual, but it depends much on the what type of organ your church has. At the church where I play in Sweden we have quite a small organ that still has spanish trumpets.

  • @chenrikl Had no idea about that cool, och en annan liten cool sak är att jag är från Sverige och heter samma som ditt nick/du gör. :)

But it might not then be as common in Swedish organs because i cant remeber have ever seen one with trumpets. But i havent actually really looked since i was about 8 years old the last time i was in a church..

  • @dtiydr Watch the newest video on my channel and you can see at the end credits what it might look like on a small organ. And as I said, if they have spanish trumpets or not really depends on the type of organ the churches have. It varies greatly between manufacturers and different organ types.

  • That man's organ is impressive.

  • This is my new favourite version of this piece - very well done!

  • Well done! Glad you had the chance to enjoy my brother's "baby" :) (I'm Bill's sister.) I wish I lived in the Twin Cities so I could hear him play this extraordinary instrument more often!

  • Is it polyphonic? lol!

  • Very Impressive, but what are the trumpet stops you're using? Also love the bass, what length pipes? Haven't heard bass like that since the West Point organ : P Sry to pick your brains so much but I just love this rendition and its sound : D

  • @mrpepperkitty The theme dances between enchamade and tuba. This organ has 3 32's, 64' resultant, and lots of 16's and 8's.

  • @jperschb Thanks, : D awesome.

  • Pipe of the valkries.

  • holy shit that thing is HUGE! is it even possible to play alone????

  • @SchwarzundWeis It would take at least 3 people to play this

  • @jperschb - You should see the Wanamaker Organ at the Macy's in Philadelphia, the largest functional pipe organ on earth, installed for the flagship of the John Wanamaker department store chain. It has 6 manuals and 28,453 pipes in 462 ranks. It is regularly played (twice daily free recitals except Sundays) by one organist with another assistant to change the pages of sheet music. Look up the Wanamaker here on YouTube and on Wikipedia.

  • @jperschb "it would take at least 3 people to play this" or one little asian

  • @jperschb I think he's talking about the instrument, not the piece. Classic non-organist misunderstanding on his part. :p Very impressive transcription and recording!

  • @jperschb Also, gorgeous instrument! Far better than one normally hears out of a US organ. :s

  • @jperschb How exactly does the thing work? Is there someone who has to run the air pumps while you play the keyboard? How exactly does one operate a pipe organ?

  • @musicalmike235 I would suggest going to the pipe organ 101 page (google it)

  • gotta add ...

    that's an impressive organ.

  • One of my favs - first time I've heard it played on pipe organ. Awesome arrangement and voicing.

  • Awesome!!

  • ¡¡¡¡¡Magnifico!!!!! ppor casualidad no sera el nombre completo del autor, Richard Wagner @Johan Sebastian Bach

  • I agree with furyfueled - this is truely epic! Not to mention fun :-)

  • Cet arrangement est à la mesure de l'oeuvre ! Gigantesque : D.BABEL

  • kWhere is that organ? Who built it?

  • A MIDI interface on a PIPE ORGAN? Holy Guacamole, Batman! Awesome.

  • Congrats!!! It's an amazing work! Well done!

  • Awesome! Well done! I also arrange MIDI files to play my 6 rank pipe organ at my home along with some digital keyboards. Thanks for sharing!

  • In the name of Odin, yeah!!!!

  • @Comploi75 Skoll

  • GREAT!

  • this is epic.

  • Superb!

  • 0:33 allen organ isn't it!

  • O M G !!

  • well i kinda wanted to see som1 playing this but oh well

  • This song always reminds me of Apocalypse Now

  • @jo6re3

Maybe because it was used in that movie?

  • @twooffour i know it was, it was the first time I had heard the song...

  • I HAVE ALWAYS WONDERED WHAT THIS SONG IS! thank you for uploading this beautiful work of art!

  • awesome ... no further words required

  • Organ doskonały! , lecz to za mało, by w pełni go zaprezentować. CZEKAM NA WIĘCEJ

  • The best version yet!

  • Tremendous. A masterwork.

  • I've been so incredibly impressed with the tonality of this instrument since I first heard a recording of it shortly after it was installed.

  • thumbs up if you looked for this song after watching "musicland" from disney xD

  • my god, thats the most beautifull organ I've ever seen (I love cathedral's organs) and you just playd it like part of your body (not trying to make a opun with Organ), beautifull, a masterpiece of musical enginering played by a master

  • Magnificent!!!

  • It really feels like the original orchestral version. nice arrangement for the organ. It's AWESOME!!!

  • This is a whole new level of awesomeness!

  • BRAVO!

  • my compliments to the organ tuner!

  • This music makes me remember the Imperial March, I don't know why.

  • Impressive Josh, Impressive Organ, Impressive Church (and i spotted a piano as wel)

  • Big pipe organ! go online to st. andrews Lutheran Church, MN . for spec's ....Over 7,300 pipes...USA

  • Magnifique!!! Thank you so much for this video

  • Ansolutely thrilling and entirely convincing: this enormous instrument becomes agile and crisp - so often one gets 'mud' from other organists and their transcriptions! - magnificent. Quintessential perfection in transcribing a full romantic orchestral score to the King of Instruments!

  • Simply beautiful and epic. Do you have the sheet music available of this arragement?

  • Great playing. I am inspired to try doing some midi recording for mine. Thanks it is unforgettable.

  • This is absolutely glorious. The only thing I would wish for would be to be in that sanctuary when this is played, and hear it live in all its majesty. Beyond that I would be speechless.

If music be "food for thought", this would be the aural equivalent of a sinfully rich tiramisu...

    dieselheart001

  • This is awesome. This is epic. This is Casavant !!! ;)

  • I FINALLY know the name tothis song. I LAHVES IT!!!

    Is there more?

  • Is there more of what?

  • Sounds great, and your arrangement seems to be so much more playable than Edwin H. Lemare's arrangement... do you sell it somewhere?

  • Well, it would take at least three organists at the console to play it. I used the organ's midi interface to feed in the notes of my arrangement (kind of like a player piano roll).

  • excellent playing and what a beautifully constructed organ! Im glad to see a real organ was used, not some stupid black plastic box that sounds almost as good.

  • This is simply majestic!

  • Wow!!

  • I can't wait for this CD!

  • Raramente si può sentire una interpretazione così stupenda di questa splendida composizione del grande Wagner. Che bello ascoltare un simile interprete! Bravissimo! *******

  • those horizontal trumpets are awesome! trompette i guess..... :-) they really do sound epic
