  • This is not the original arrangement right? It sound could have add some jazz elements, and avoid the regular chords such as 1:20

  • This guy plays alot like me, only better! Haha. Nice job, thanks for sharing!

  • @ petestanndingalone:

yep, Rachmaninoff piano concerto #2, Mvt II.

From what i read, Carmen admitted to it !

  • RIP marco nunez

  • VERY nice....

  • Onde está a modulação na 3ª parte? É muito bonita!

  • That was lovely playing, quite soothing really!

  • "this song isn't suppose to feel happy" - It doesn't feel happy at all: What this version very much does do is express the hope buried within the song - after all, the title and tag lyric of the song are not "I'm all by myself" but rather "don't want to be" - the realisation that only the protaganist can change that situation.

  • Hermosa version. Es una musica bellisima.

  • beautifully done..you play with your soul

  • i would throw a rose if i saw you in person. :)

  • I think you can find him in person (and buy his cd's) upon the Norwegian Dawn. And I believe it stops in New York Harbor. His page is time0207 by the way.

  • Wonderful dynamics and emotion in your playing with some signature Eric Carmen nuances. Excellent !!!

  • this song isn't suppose to feel happy. you sure trashed this one.

  • Comment removed

  • I wish I could take credit for "trashing" it, as you so eloquently asserted, but unfortunately my style isn't quite as matured as Fabrizio's. I agree with minase0906.

  • way better than Celine I can't control my voice, so it flies to every note Dion

  • I love it!

  • Very nice!!

  • hes singing with the piano! awesome

  • I don't think the lyrics are all that bad, certainly no worse than most pop songs of that era. As for Rachmaninov, well, he was writing at the peak of the Romantic era, an era that fueled the golden age of American song by the way, and if his crime was writing melodies the equal of any of his Russian contemporaries, well he's guilty as charged. It was his job, after all. And who knows, maybe he stole those melodies just like Carmen did. That's the music biz, and it's been that way forever.

  • he was just plying some kinda Eric Carmen style moves

  • beautiful:)

  • fine playing but you should change the name of the video though- you are NOT Eric Carmen.

  • Oh yeah, I was expecting (with it's title) of Eric Carmen playing himself. So, I got a big surprise here too. But his playing is good---still he ought to change the title of video

  • this song... celine dion sings this right?? o.o

  • yeah, and about 10,000 other people!

  • yes but eric is the true writer aand the one who sings it best

  • eric carmen did not write this music... this is a note for note ripoff of Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor Adagio sostenuto...look it up it's an undeniable fact

  • It's not a note for note ripoff. It was inspired by the slow movement of the concerto, and it duplicates a couple of phrases and chord progressions, but it's Eric Carmen's song. It's a lot more loosely based on the original than, say, Midnight Blue is based on the slow movement of Beethoven's Pathetique sonata.

  • . are you eric carmen's father ???. so it's a partial note for note ripoff with extremely bad lyrics added..a syrupy piece of fluff ( i.e. crap ) that caused more than a few suicides in it's time.. . & midnight blue is even worse & I feel like vomiting just thinking about it , so thank you for sharing that with me.. Rachmaninov was the Barry Manilow of his generation ... the master of syrupy romantic classical noise... old women like it I guess

  • really? wow! no wonder it's one of the ONLY pop songs I liked! It's Rachmaninov's!

  • @brucewayne909 Ripoff? What the hell? Yes, he did use Rachmaninoff's music, but he got credits for it. This song is known to be composed by Rachmaninoff, and additional music and lyrics by Eric Carmen, and covered by Celine Dion.

  • I hope you are joking......Eric is the writer of the original version. I bet he is a millionaire by selling the rights to others who have recorded it.

  • esta chingonson

  • Absolutely georgeous song, love this.

  • Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!

  • YAAY ! Awesome ! - very good work

  • His I.D. is time0207.

  • Rachmaninov's second piano concerto...second movement is available at most music stores in the classical section

  • This is great! :) You have talent. :)

  • que bruto que barbaro, me pongo de pie, excelente interpretación.

  • this guy is excellent....

  • Hey if don't sing to this tune you should call it by it's proper name ..Rachmaninov's second piano concerto...second movement

  • Oi! Dealer! Go listen to Rachmaninov's second piano concerto and compare it to this, you will realise you are a spastic!

  • this is soo beautiful... i love it so much! keep up the wonderful excellent work!!

  • I do too. His playing appears so natural & effortless.
