This may sound pathetic, but my boyfriend's planning on going into the Marines. We've only been together for a short time, but I don't want him to go. I know I should support him in whatever he chooses, but it's hard to think about him putting himself in harm's way. This song is so wonderful.

My boyfriend doesn't leave until next year and this song already hits home with me. I know I'm going to miss him so much while he's gone. I'll worry about him everyday, he's deploying with a unit that work directly with roadside bombs. Both my fiance and I are military and it doesn't make it easier when one of us deploys. I respect the spouses of military just as much as I do my fellow soliders. It gets hard when we are gone and it takes a VERY special someone to be strong enough to deal with it.

@ryanchicoblanco i know what you are going thru. my boyfriend was deployed last night. i wasnt ready for all the pain that comes with goodbye. its like i tell people im ok but inside im broken. i got an email from him today when they landed in Ireland and i never thought i would be so excited to get an email. i just want him back. it really hits me at night when i lay in our bed and its just me and our dog.

I think this is something every military wife can identify with. Even though my hubby is home now, I know there will be more deployments in our future because he is a career marine.
I just started dating my specialist in the army. He's in south carolina right now and I miss him so much. I found out that he's leaving for Korea in April for a year. I'm not sure what I will do, but I know I will be waiting for him to come home to me. Thankfully, I do have one of my bestfriends who is an Army girlfriend as well. So we will be going through our first depolyment's together. I just want him and everyone's solider, marine, navy and airman to come home to them safely.

We're almost 7 months in to the deployment and every day I miss him even more. Praying for all of our soldiers there and for the military families here who keep them strong & allow them to focus on their task. Thank you all for your service.

We call it OPSEC, your telling the terrorist when movements are weather you know it or not. Please continue to post things but leave the dates and numbers out of it so WE can continue to come home to those we love safe and sound.

My man is in the Army and I'm in the Navy. He's been in for two years and I ship off to boot camp on January 24. I've been with him for two years and it never gets any easier. The hardest moment was when he went over to Afghanistan but he's back now and he's safe. He and I both are honored to serve this beautiful country.

My boyfriend doesn't leave until next year and this song already hits home with me. I know I'm going to miss him so much while he's gone. I'll worry about him everyday, he's deploying with a unit that work directly with roadside bombs. I'm just hoping he'll have at least semi-frequent access to Skype, so I can feel a bit better and know he's okay other than occasional letters in the mail.

all the men in my family were in the service, so ive always wanted a solider. I finally got one at 20! Whats wired is that i would listen to the song before i met the love of my life and would cry bc could only imagine what women were feeling that actually at the time had their other half away. I have 2 "brother in laws" in the marines, one is in Japan. One is here but has gone to Afghanistan twice.

I just realized that someone put that they didn't like this song. SERIOUSLY?? Let me guess, that one person is one of the sick ones that would protest at a military funeral. The men and women fighting for our country are fighting for us so we can have the things that we have. How can you not appreciate them? Both my fiance and I are military and it doesn't make it easier when one of us deploys. I respect the spouses of military just as much as I do my fellow soliders. It gets hard when we are gone and it takes a VERY special someone to be strong enough to deal with it.

These girls are from my home town, Magna, Utah, and I'm currently a senior at the high school they went to, and I even have the choir teacher who got them together for one of my classes. 0.0 It's a small world.

@ryanchicoblanco i know what you are going thru. my boyfriend was deployed last night. i wasnt ready for all the pain that comes with goodbye. its like i tell people im ok but inside im broken. i got an email from him today when they landed in Ireland and i never thought i would be so excited to get an email. i just want him back. it really hits me at night when i lay in our bed and its just me and our dog.

I think this is something every military wife can identify with. Even though my hubby is home now, I know there will be more deployments in our future because he is a career marine.

I just started dating my specialist in the army. He's in south carolina right now and I miss him so much. I found out that he's leaving for Korea in April for a year. I'm not sure what I will do, but I know I will be waiting for him to come home to me. Thankfully, I do have one of my bestfriends who is an Army girlfriend as well. So we will be going through our first depolyment's together. I just want him and everyone's solider, marine, navy and airman to come home to them safely.
