@truth3253 Yes but if you play poker well enough and consistently enough, in the long run the cash should be headed your way. It's like if I ask you to flip a coin once. If it's heads I win $1, and if its tails you win $3. Sure you might get unluckly if we flip it once, but flip it 500 and you should be able to rake back more money than you invested seeing as though you only invest $1 to win $3. Poker is like this.

maybe best tournament results but they also play the most and for the most money. daniel might be good at tournaments but can he crush high stakes cash games? so these are the 5 most watched and promoted players but they get beat by other players in other fields, so you should say like "the 5 best tournament holdem players" and ivey can beat more than one category but there are many categories, fx: best stud live cash game players

I think, popularity wise... this may be a good top 5. But definitely not the best 5 poker players in the world today. All of them are good poker players but I think the top poker players should be gauged by their winnings against their loosing, plus the factor of who they are playing with for most of their winnings.

I mean it's supposed to be an all around list right? Hellmuth is a pioneer and should maybe be mentioned for his NL Hold'em prowess though he's mainly a tourney player.

It's very difficult to even rate poker players as there are many different meters (bracelets, money won) for doing this and so many different games of poker.
