@tonymontana1229, you can call them quads or quints. The name quads counts the four drums that don't count the spocks. Quints or six-packs just include the spock. Either is correct.

DrumsBeFriggenAwsome- Quints and Quads are the exact same thing. Quints just have one effect drum called a spock. There is no difference in the 4 larger drums. I have a life, and I am very good at drums, namely tenors/quads/quints/sexes. I know bat tenor drummers when I see them.

Just watching this video, I see two african american teenagers, most likely attending a inner city school, playing the quads. I play the quads. I know a good quad player from a bad quad player. These are not good quad players. They rush and slow down, and their scrapes are aweful.

Playing on chairs isn't a good idea because the drums will be too high unless you stand on some text books. The head of the drum should be around 2 inches below your waist and your arms should be at a slight angle when the sticks are on the head of the drums. and make sure your elbows arent too far out from your body. the "quad logic" book by bill bachman is a VERY helpful book it helped me a lot. But other than that your doing really good diddles are nice and clean for the most part keep it up!

I agree. It's a fail, but i guess you have to take into consideration they are high school kids and have not yet been exposed to actual tenor music. Still the "sixtuplets are high in difficulty" mentality that a year in even a lower level college line will eliminate in a second. i think the both have potential that exposure to a higher level could certainly improve.
