@mrdanni The image is from Westfall. The music, however, is also heard in Mulgore, The Barrens, Westfall and other such places. If I were you, I would think before you post comments calling other people dumb. In this case, the only 'dumb ass' is you.
@mrdanni Hey, that's ok mate :) it's rare to find someone on YouTube who will actually apologise to others. I know what you mean, I only played for a few years, 2008 to this time last year roughly, didn't even play during Vanilla, but I could act like a real smart arse sometimes :L. Anyway, apology gladly accepted, it's good to see there are still some worthwhile people around :)
@sprucemoose18 pahahaha, just saw that 5 years! well I finished in WoTLK, so that's a good 4 years ago. close enough, didn't want to sound like more of an idiot :). Read my last comment = my apology and explanation.
@5648945621 of which we can never return to now. seeing as Cata buttfucked azeroth with an ugly knife... along with all the soundtracks.
WoTLK was a step too far itself imo... They should have kept 70 level cap and just expanded on the outlands + bring some kick ass content into azeroth.
this brings back a hell of a feeling of nostalgia, i started playing WoW at 9 years old, i was a tauren warrior. It was amazing to me, how big the world was. My account got hacked and i had to quit for a while, but after i got it fixed, bliz had to fix my account, which took so long that my parents canceled my subscription. Then i got into trouble in school and my bitch-ass mom won't let me play anymore, i miss the game.
To me, part of the appeal of Westfall was its expanse and desolation- wide sunbaked plans with sparsely populated farms and ruined towns. The fantastic music did a wonderful job adding color to the experience. Now after Cata, there's construction, big cyclones, and other "crap." I prefer the old Westfall.
@BillF1967 You and me both. The thing I miss most about Westfall though was how well the color and the music went together. Running around its vast plains during dusk was amazing. Like in the picture the video provides, it was an amazing thing to feel back then. Shame that everyone now will have to miss out on it. While I don't mind the new Westfall, I prefer it to I playing CSI Miami with a bunch of refugees and homeless people XD
i remember..... westfall with all the defias when the begining was hard my very first character was a hUMan warrior and when i steppid into westfall when i was 10 years old also at lvl 10 :) i fell in love with it i made soo many chars i wanted to try evry race every class and now i got a 80 dwarf pala i and sometimes i walk (witout mount to get they epic feeling back of being there as a noob ) to westfall but now after cata defias is gone the place feels so noobish... and boring..
I will probably buy Cataclysm, anyway after listening to this piece of beautiful and nostaligic music I am sure nothing will recreate feeling I had playing and leveling my first toon years ago in Vanilla
This music brings back so many great memories of time I spent playing wow on my first character leveling in westfall and how I didn't know much about the game and i absolutely sucked at it. But everything was so new and magical, unfortunately I will never get that feeling again. But luckily the i can come pretty close to recreating that feeling by listening to this magical nostalgic music.
I played a Troll Hunter, wasn't my first char, but at THAT time, I didn't spend money on WoW, I remembered taming a Raptop and killing level 18's, at the cost of my pet dying (mend pet was channeled back then)... the good times...
I played the 10day trial version without any intention to buy WoW and pay the monthly fee. But after leveling to lvl 20 in Elwynn Forest, Westfall and Redridge Mountains I was so in love with this world and the money seemed so little compared to what the game gave me. Too bad the game play gets boring fast. But I pity anyone who never went through the gate to Westfall.
Ah, remember the first days, playing as a human Mage, slaughtering countless Harvesters and Boars, getting owned by Dust Devils, then taking on Deadmines.....
I also loved lvling a Hunter alt in Westfall, often, my hunters usually had a horde pet, typically a dragonhawk and/or a red Lynx from the blood elf area.
Westfall... I fell in love with this place the moment I saw it. The perfect place for any low level to do some hardcore training. Westfall is what made my hunter my strongest character.
Hi my name is Youzz33 and I havent played wow for almost a year now, Man Im glad I quit wow when Wotlk came out, If I didnt I would still be playing was lvl 70 . But I do miss the music of wow I always loved riding on my mounts through the landscape.....Oh well time to move on with my life
Westfall has an amazing, amazing atmosphere. Always felt like one of those zones that take you back to the times long past, make you feel joyous and nostalgic at the same time. Westfall, and of course, Azshara.
I remember back in the day, I used to travel to certain places in the world, like the western beach at Silverpine Forest after nightfall, or the western Ashenvale beach - Zoram Strand, among other places. I'd go there to wallow in the perfect otherworldly ambiance.
Unfortunately, The Burning Crusade, while it also had great music, didn't have zones that felt as deep as the original ones. With the exception of the Draenei isles.
And as for WotLK, I have yet to play it, but I hope it's good :D
I remember being a level 15 Nelf and seeing a raid for the first time in Westfall at Sentinel Hill. I was so afraid the Horde was going to come after me. Back then, I still didn't quite understand how pvp worked.
And naturally this brings back memories of the Defias. They used to kick my rear. Now I just go through DM for giggles and low level gear for my new mage to disenchant.
I never thought I'd get sucked into a MMORPG, but WoW just puts out one heck of a quality product.
@AmbrosiaMetraux the Deadmines is a Dungeon, classic raids: Blackwing Lair, Ahn'qiraj Ruins, Ahn'Qiraj Temple, the Molten Core and Zul'Gurub
burning crusade raids: Magtheridon's lair, Gruul's lair, the Tempest Keep, the Black Temple, the Sunwell Plateau, Zul'Aman, Kazachstan or somthin
WOTLK raids: the Eye of Eternity, Naxxramas, the Obsidian Sanctum, the Ruby Sanctum, the Vault of Archavon, the Icecrown Citadel, Ulduar and the Trial of the Crusader, thumbs up if you know all these raids!
@AmbrosiaMetraux it used to... not anymore, now it's all just an endless mess of kids with their 2000 resilience crowding up orgrimmar and teleporting to instances... it's hardly a game anymore, almost like a daycare center
When i first started WoW I had a tauren, and sense of fear, uncertinty and awe at hearing this music and the thought of the adventure that awaits. Plus I fist found out the meaning of the word Noob :P
Oh Mulgore, how I miss you.

@sprucemoose18 forgive me for not playing for 5 years.
And forgive me for being an asshole, I played since beta, finished in WoTLK.
I did reach endgame in both TBC and Vanilla, so indeed I think I'm a veteran / smart ass about WoW.
Guess it wouldn't be the case ages ago if we had this argument, considering I wouldn't have said otherwise.
But I'm sorry, sorry mate :(.

I completely agree! Westfall, Azshara, Ashenvale and the Plaguelands all touched my soul in a way nothing succeded before.
That feeling of "Lost Paradise" but not completely out of reach beckoned me to hang around in those places just for the sights and the music...
