  • i bought my log splitter for around 100$ too but it is electronic 5 Tons 10 times faster aswell.... Also on the one you are using are 2 places to put the handle thats because you should use 2 handles and pump double as fast......... Reading instructions is hard mkay! Oh yeah also dont use a hammer or anything when you use a log splitter look in the manual what you should do when logs get stuck or anything!

  • pump,pump,pump.pump

  • Nice demo. I picked up a similiar one for around $120. After several damaging wind storms here in AZ, many eucalyptus and mesquite trees fell. Free firewood! I used my splitter to split GREEN hardwood the SAME DAY it was cut into logs......it split every one. The box says 6" max, most of the logs I split were 12+++ inches, and GREEN, not dryed out. I am in NO HURRY, as the wood won't be good to burn for at least a year. I used it for 4 hours straight, and mauls get stuck in green wood. Thanks!

  • You sound so sarcastic hahah I love it....oh wait you're serious?

  • this is Romanian torture device...pump...crack...pump...crack...(human scream)...pump...dead.

  • Just use the ax.... it's faster.

  • takes too long

  • andy andy andyyy

  • Mr. Super Patience

  • were can we buy one

  • hmm... tooo slow... wasting time.... rather take an axe and build muscles :-)

  • You 'd be a lot better off just using the maul unless you have health problems.

  • very nice. you should show how it was made. I am not to lazy to use a hand spilter. I notice you have a lot of response from people who are afraid of doing any work. That is the problem with my country now!

  • too many steps.....

  • were can i buy one of them log spliters

  • yeah to much work

  • yeah way to mutch work hit it with a maul is alot faster

  • "Andy"

  • sorry randy to much work! lol

  • heheeh I love my wood splitter

  • Nice!! you must be able to crank out at least a cord a year with that puppy !!

  • I don't have all summer to split my wood

  • WAS THAT PINE ??

  • yeah try doing 8 cords of wood every year

  • Thats excellent man

  • Yeah! Nice machine, take a look @ my channel and se my homemade splitting axe!

  • all i do is use a big axe. split way faster than that and a motorized one

  • I have one and I keep it right on the back porch. I split it as I bring it in. The 5 year old and 9 year old love it! No maul needed, just keep pushing it through the wedge. And my "splitting elbow" doesn't hurt anymore.

  • Yeah, it may be slow, but it's still a cool contraption, and there may be some who can't swing a maul overhead anymore. It might be a good Father's day gift, for someone who doesn't depend on firewood. If you run the ram further in high speed (after cracking), you shouldn't have to use the maul.

  • the only thing is after a while your elbow gets REALLY tired and starts to get stiff. tennis elbow, and you still have to swing an ax. i have used one of these, plus, this is easy wood. it wont split pecan or hard oak like that.

  • a splitting axe or maul would run circles around that....a hammer and wedge might even be faster! waste of money imo

  • In wintertime I use about 1-1½ cubic metre of split firewood per moth. If I was to use that thing it would mean that I was outside 'pumping' that lever day and night! ... but then again - you get warm twice ;-)

  • yeah and it will take all day to split a truck load of wood!

  • I would rather use my maul or my gas powered splitter. That chunk that took him 30 seconds would have been split quick with the maul alone.

  • where can i get one?

  • Im glad to see that theres actually people out there who choose to use a machine to split wood that requires no gas or electricity.

  • gas is a lot faster, that said I use a 6 pound maul to split all of mine... I work a 50 hour week, I don't have time for manual powered hydraulics

  • I like splitting wood by hand myself, too. Its fast once you get into it, this thing is pretty slow.

  • nice machine folks

  • I would keep both handles in the holes so you can use the fast speed after it cracks.I had one of these still do but the seal went and it won't move any more. They are quiet a bit of work. Now i have a 6 tom electric and love it.They are not very expensive .$285.00 for 4 ton and $399.00 for 6 ton electric.
