@edlawrence94 its called a slicktop cruiser. not only does a roof mounted lightbar give away the fact that it is a police car, but in most situations, interior does just as good a job if not better. also, the car will get much much better mileage without the lightbar to slow it down.( by wind resistance)

The real funny thing about Police pursuit vehicles is that they are good at pursuing NOTHING! Slow, fucking, heavy boats, with half ass drivers at the wheel (most of the time). You take away air support, and or the multiple cars in said pursuit, AND the huge fine, and or jail time, you'd receive if you run, and this clowns would get DUSTED by my rides or anyones that owns true performance vehicles. I laugh my azz off when I see these "high pursuit vehicles" on the highway, truly comical LOL!!!

Crown Vics are loved by all police departments. Obviously your not a cop otherwise you would understand how crappy impalas are. Theo nly good about them is that they get decent gas mileage. They are too small and always break down. Chargers are nice but the steering on them is super responsive.

I think that the California Highway Patrol should start using unmarked cars on the freeway to catch people with as well as the regular marked Crown Victorias. I just think marked cars are too boring. Unmarked cars are way more interesting to see when someone gets pulled over by the cops unexpectedly. Its like, Oops! I didn't know you were a cop. Especially unmarked cars that have the front and rear radar intalled.

in most states you have to stop for unmarked police vehicle... not in all though... now what most states are requiring law enforcement to do is to have an emblem from their department on one part of the vehicle like the door, or quarter panel... i know in Minnesota our state government says that you can have any color lights on a personal vehicle you want, but if you use them while your in motion you will get cited...

The thing with most streets in the US is that the drivers are stupid and often don't see you, because they're on the phone. That's why just about every emergency vehicle you see you see a ton of lights and hear extra loud sirens. Even then they some times panic and don't know what to do. In fact there's a fire department in I think Chicago or New York that doesn't even bother running light and/or sirens.

Here in the UK we have plenty of unmarked monsters rolling around the streets, I would say his lights are a bit OTT. A couple of big lights hidden under the grill with a blue on one side and red on the other followed by flashing headlights is all you need. I think thing would look like a flashing Christmas tree coming up behind you at night.

Josh, I have these antennas on my car, one for the cad console and one for the radio system. The cad is my laptop that gives me text information via the radio system, the other is my 800 mhz MTS radio antenna. Your "computer network system" sends information via radio singal buddy..therefore they are radio antennas.

In a way you are BOTH right Josh some agencies have one disc (antenna) some two just depends on what equpiment used one is for the MDT(MOBILE DATA TERMINAL) i guess where firemedic is from they refer to it as CAD but same thing we receive GPS, info from dispatch, we put ourselves out on traffic stops and calls for service, send messages to other units/agencies, and the other is our 800 Mhz police RADIO antenna.
