we got a lil dachshund in june. my chinese crested saw her and it was the first dog he showed interest in-them 2 are a riot-like bonny and clyde. the *big* one really takes it as his job to show her everything he knows and its so easy. she is smart, tough and so funny and sweet-the perfect match

we have 6 dachshunds and they r all different, personality and color. lol.. we love every1 of them VERY much. 2 of them we rescued from the side of the road (dif times) toby(papaw) is 10, sassy(mom) is 5, mia and polie(dad) r both 4, and blacky and brownie r brothers and the r both 3.. they r wonderful pets!

@lekyim If people on YouTube post videos of special breeds of pets its because they really love that particular animal. Lot's of kids love animal videos too. All this poster did was add family/kid friendly music to the video to make it appropriate. My 7 yr old daughter loved it. Try not to be so hard on this guy.

I LOVE this video and the song is great for the doxie show. Doxie at 247 reminds me of my Zach that I rescued one day before he was to be put to sleep. Zach was seven when I adopted him and he just turned 11. Zach is a lot leaner than 247, Zach at 9 lbs now, didn't even weigh four lbs when I got him. Zach loves this video... he sings right along and dances as the video is play. Dachshunds ROCK!!!!!

technically they are blonde, and they are rare because they are new to the states. But they are becoming more common. Another reason they are so rare is they run anywhere from 2000$ + but from my experiance with my sisters is they are very well mannered and good dogs

I hope you are able to take care of them. I have 5 small dogs (3 of them are dachshunds) and it's all I can do to care for them. That must be very time consumning and expensive. Best of luck to you. Many humane societies or spca's are "no kill" shelters if they are too much for you. That's where I got two of mine.
