  • Amazing courage and professionalism, true bootneck. Good effort, never give up the dream

  • Yes he survived

  • truly awesome good effort royal. dan

  • I remember going out on a 30ft yacht with my dad, clam oceans everything was great. Then out of nothing, suddently this freak wave appears. Makes you think.

  • @llamay do you realize that the kiwi is adapted for it's life, and humans are not adapted for the sea?

  • Raczej nie chciał bym byc na tym statku ;>

  • my God.. Good hear your safe! Nasty expierience. Keep it up

  • I thought this guy was dead until I read up about it and found he was indeed rescued. I think its incredible that little boat held up as long as it did.

  • Dom, only those of us who have experienced this can truely understand. That decision to pull the EPIRB is yours alone to do, never try to justify why. If you have experienced the deep despair of the ocean, those are the ones who understand. Glad your safe mate. Craig Uhler

  • wer was he found?

  • God hears even the tiniest voice in the most angry of seas. This guy is unbelievable, to look death in the face and still walk away. Anyone who doesn't give this guy their fullest props hasn't really lived a day in their lives. Kudo's Capt. Mee, good to know your home!

  • I agree, God hears every voice no matter how small or faint...but, I have a question, and I promise it is an honest one...do you know if he lived through this? I saw CNN was doing a thing on him and I wasn't sure how it ended, because they found the boat underwater. Do you know?

  • Nevermind, I saw him on tv. I guess that answered my question!!!! 8-)

  • I think it would be good to place the Little Murka alongside this video into a maritime museum.

  • I'd like to see the condition of his underwear after that.

  • you think this is hardship!? read "Ice Bird" by David Levis. A kiwi that curcumnavigates antartica- with no epirb to send a signal for a rescue.

  • Just seen this video on another site and came on here to see if he made it. Thank God he did, a very moving account of a situation that must have been truly awful. It takes a Man to show that kind of emotion, he is no wuss and I would sail with him anywhere. Read "If " by Kipling as it sums this man up.

  • What a life changing experience. Glad you made it. Googled your name to hope that you made it and you did! Yea! No way your a wuss. I'm really glad I watched your video.

  • Congrats to the Canadian Coast Guard for the rescue.

  • ... as well as to those who created the technology that allowed him to be saved.

  • Agreed.

  • thanx dom. your whipwreck video touched me. Makes me appreciate my girl more and life in general. im glad to hear you made it out safe too.

  • He's still alive. He was eventually rescued by the Canadian Coast Guard.

  • Nice comment m8. So proud to be british.

  • did he live?

  • He lived

  • was he on his own?

  • Stormy ocean looks freaky especially at night, i'm glad that he made it safe and sound.

  • Many thanks to everyone for your comments Dom is really chuffed with the response. I have added another video clip of Dom going solo in the Arctic. Please spread the word as we are trying to get the 'Little Murka' story made into a movie. I will post a new video of Dom rowing the Pacific Ocean if we get a good response.

    Kind Regards

    Tony Mattews.

  • @marcantony8745 this footage is boring, definately not remarkable.

  • You was on Tim Shaws Assylum last night. Your a living ledgend mate. To have the guts to do something like that is truly amazing.

  • hes one brave guy heard him on tim shaw lst night bloody bril

  • Brits aint shit against Norwegian seamen I`ve been told.

  • When you are alone at sea it does not mean "shit" what nationality you are, you are obviously a novice. NEVER get cocky and think you are better than others, thats when you will one day cop it. the sea is not fussed if you are Norwegian or from Mars

  • Pam pam, Been out there since the age of 16.

  • Where does it say that he lived?

  • So he didn't live? This was one of the most intense things I've ever watched. I can hear my heart thumping it's so loud.

  • Edit: I see now above where it says he was rescued. Thank God.

  • The british are the greatest seamen. What amzing footage. what bravery. so calm.

  • fantastic footage. thanks for posting

  • Being alone at sea is the worst thing, I noticed He was referring everything to "WE" I take it He was meaning himself and the boat, the boat was a living thing, not just what he was sitting in. Glad He was rescued, and he was honest to say he was scared, rightly so. Although unravelling, he held himself together. the sea spared him.

  • Well done Dom Mee - Hope the next row goes well.

    Fair winds
