I see there is a discussion which familiar to bring, you should really bring a Lava Titan, which boosts your mining, that means more gold per hour, yak is easy if you want to bank less per hour, but it's certainly not more exp, I tested both and I found out Lava titan is better for exp, Yak for laziness xD

@mcdudly00 people play for different reasons. Some try to gain high level skills in "respectable" skills and mining is considered by many to be "respectable". Others want max total and some prefer afk skills. Mining is somewhat of an AFK skill now with decent profit/xp for minimal work. It's not my favourite skill but when I end up training mining I will do it here.

Varrock plate 3, dragon pickaxe and 90+ mining = 65k exp an hour.

45-50k Is defo lower then what you can get.

Don't use lava titan, it gives 0 extra exp an hour, think of the time you need new titans, recharge points, and less invo space because of pouches.

if you're on ancients you could use the Lassar teleport spell, requires 72 magic, 2 law runes, and 4 water runes. it teleports you to the ice mountain just north of the place.

I agree it didn't ruin the skill, I love this. I hated the skill before this update, now I love it. But I guess some people don't like change, and now you can somewhat afk mining where it use to be a heavy clicking skill. Granite is still faster though so I don't see the problem.

There is a better way to get there(in my ponion), you can use the Home Teleport from the Ancient spell book, then run east to the G.E. and use the trapdoor to go to Keldagrim, then use the carts to go to the Ice Montain, then run east until you find the rope and there you are =)

I also wanna tell you that there are 2 mining clan chats: "Mining golds"(the main chat) and "Mininggolds"(the second cc)
