  • GP2X is a handheld for those who don't know. Also, for those arguing over EPSXE crap, "PSX" is the best emulator for low end systems that I know of... Not sure what emultaor you used for this but if you can somehow get ahold of "PSX" on the GP2X (I dont know the OS for it), then maybe you MIGHT get better framerates on that. Not sure though.

    10 FPS isn't bad for hand held emulation O3o

  • @chunkdizzle420 U Suck. GP2X is not a fucking emulator, it´s a handheld device which runs on a clockspeed from 240 -280 MHZ. There is no fucking espxe for it. You sir are an idiot!

  • Yea this is tales of eternia. But on the ps1 it was called tales of destiny 2. Reason was to avoid trademark infringement on the name Eternia, which is owned by Mattel in North America for the Masters of the Universe toyline.

    Because the GP2X and it's newest version - the Wiz, is specifically designed for user created binary content.

    That means, unlike PSP, the GP2X/Wiz encourage people to write software. You don't have to mess around with hacking it, or any of that crap which is something a lot of people don't want to bother with.

    Also, the programming interface to the GP2X is entirely documented as it runs Linux.

  • Get the names right...This game isn't Tales of Destiny "2". This is the third one.

    Tales of Destiny 1 - Blonde haired guy as main char.

    Tales of Destiny 2 - different main character, not the one with Farah on it.

    Tales of Destiny 3/Eternia - Keele/Farah/Meredy/Reed.

  • And you would be right were he playing the Japanese version. However, he's clearly not. In the US this one is indeed Tales of Destiny II.

  • You know, it's kind of hard to Tell the Difference between Tales of Destiny II and Tales of Destiny 2. In america, it's named Tales of Destiny II fyi. Not Tales of Eternia, and not Tales of Destiny III/3.

    Though it's supposed to be called Tales of Eternia, that was a fuckup on the company's part.

  • I hope they can improve it so that the PSX games are playable. I use to want one of these handhelds so bad. For now I'll stick with my PSP. <3 full speed PS1 emulation.

  • espxe is a better emulator with better fps than that. however, if the video card is low quality the recorded video is also low quality..Haha..

    you can record final fantasy 9 though.

    I havent heard of this GP2X. Espxe is still recommended by many gamers..

  • Wow, this post is too dumb to even make a witty comment about it. First of all the emulator you are talking about is called epsxe, not "espxe". Second, the video was recorded from a hadheld device called the GP2X, which runs at a clockspeed of 280MHz overclocked. Try to run your epsxe on that, moron.

  • My emulator seems to have on and off days, but today, I'm happy that it ran perfectly, and the intro did not pause (though it did have no sound...not that I care). I'm so happy I can play Tales of Destiny, and after I finish that, I'm gonna try Eternia...ahem, I mean "Destiny II".

  • Yes, i edited it in order to fit into the 10 minutes limit. The Loading time was about 12 seconds for me.

  • Hi fishbong, how long should the game take to load? on my GP2X i have a black screen for ages, like 10 minutes before i just get bored and switch it off. on the video yours is instant, is it edited? how long does it take??? cheers for your help.

  • You need either a .img or a .z image. You can convert and compress your .bin file with pocketiso to a .z image. Search for a tutorial in the gp32x forums. Also you need a psx bios image called scph1001.bin

    If you're unsure if you have a working image, test it with an emulator on your pc.

  • depending on the file its usually just img....unless its just a .bin but still u use the bios in the file tab and well select w/e file type u have

    for example grandia.img

    or in my case NFS3.bin (both used by selected file then bios) and looking for your roms and selecting as such
