@PokeManiacFanHunter When it's near a wall, it might break your chain. That's just something in the game, patches next to walls are NEVER save, it does not matter how far away they are.

09:08 , wait does that mean if there's a patch of grass that shakes in the same way AND is the farthest away, yet the other 3 patches of grass shake in a different way, that means the chain will break? I'm not sure why my chains keep breaking, and if this is a reaon, maybe that's why...

i want to say thank you so much for helping me with this...since ive found this video two months ago i have understood it SOOOO much. i have one question though because i cannot figure something out. when i was chaining for phanpy during a swarm, i had the chaining app on because i noticed something was weird. apparently if you hear different music, the chain is broken, but it is still in rt 207. im trying to figure out WHY this happens. any theories or an actual answer? thanks!

This method does not work. I have tried everything and cannot seem to figure out how to get the same pokemon consecutively. I have done it before and had a chain of 34 at one point until I broke it by entering a patch toward the edge of the grassy area. I tried doing it again the same way but It DOESN"T WORK. even with the right tips for chaining. I don't even know what to do anymore. How does this work for everyone else? HOW?

DUDE OMG!!! I WAS CHAINING FOR A PICHU, and in the middle of my 3rd chain, A SHINY EEVEE APPEARED!!!!!! OMG!!!!!! BUT IT SUCKS CUZ I ONLY HAD A MASTER BALL (FORGOT TO STOCK UP!) That pikachu is not shiny coloured, thats its regular colour... Just look at any other site - it'll show pikachu shinies as a tanned-brownish colour, not bright yellow lawl.

Good job regardless on the vid though.

That one was in no way different except it gave off the blue sparkle, but it wasn't even remotely different.

check -> serebii pokedex; Pikachu & see the difference in their colour, then come and tell me that's a shiny colour.

If you do that, i'll know you haven't looked because it IS a tanned brownish/yellow colour, not bright yellow as shown.

HELPFUL TIP!! If you have the cleanse tag it keeps all wild pokemon away as long as you give it to the leader in your party.. No need to spend all that money

i have to ask this because it just happened and i need to know why it happened!!!! i was chaining for voltorbs (because of the swarming that happens with them)...ok so when i got to 39, i found my 40th voltorb!!! BUT when i looked on the 20 pokeapp, it said my chain started back at 1. the difference between the two voltorbs were their lvls, one was 29 and the other was 28. DID THIS MAKE A DIFFERENCE??? i almost wanted to cry because it was the first time i had "reached" 40....im pissed as hell

It would be funny if you encounter randomly a shiny ABRA of lvl 10 that only knows Teleport XD! Then u have a chance of... idk, somewhat 1 out of 10 that Teleport fails or just have a master ball (cheat) or be lucky and catch it with another pokéball or be lucky to let it fall asleep before the Abra's turn :P

It took me about 8 hours but i caught a shiny dusclops at 30. I broke the chain at 36 (stupid bibarel) but the dusclops had one of the two natures i wanted and its only the second shiny I've ever had

better way to get cash: go to the valor hotel resteraunt (pardon my spelling.) and get both of your lead pokemon to have amulet coins and they are levl 100 with double hit attacks. then, battle them. since they pay out alot, that will be quadrupled by the coins, yielding... maybe around 16000 a battle?

@LuigiKartWiiii you cant control gender, but if you keep reseting the radar for lots of shiny grass you can pick up like 5 or so of the pokemon you are looking for and at least one of them should be the one you want. Now, nature.Let's say you want the pokemon to be quiet natured. you just need a quiet natured pokemon with the synchronize ability(like espeon) and make sure they're the first pokemon sent out at the beginning of the battle. That gives it a 50% chance of being quiet natured
