Dr. Wallace's explanation of William James' concept of an "introspective 'science of the mind'" is precisely the nature of Buddhism (ask the Dali Lama...). Ergo, the body of learning from the Buddhist schools must be incorporated into this approach which includes plenty of practical exercises for the student and scientist.
