  • top 5 WR? ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @OptimusPrime571 yeah thats the same reaction I got when I put Jordy Nelson as a top 5 wr, now its proven. Cooper has shown great potential, he is big, physical and fast. Yeah he had a few drops, so did Nelson in the Superbowl, even Lance Alworth dropped 3 in one game. top drafted that year Demaryius Thomas, Dez Bryant, Arrelious Benn, Golden Tate, Damian Williams, Brandon LaFell. In the 3 games hes started hes averaged 80 yards per game , 18 ypc, still a little raw

  • Cooper just happened to go to a team with two top receivers. They have fallen off a bit, Cooper should have been getting more reps. The knock on him out of UF was that he was raw as a receiver, needed to work on route running etc and Florida had a basic route tree. Nelson had similar problems coming out, he was raw, a converted db walk on still learning the position.

  • Anybody who makes Tebow look serviceable has to be good

  • what? Riley cooper cant even catch a damn ball let alone be a deep threat. I would rather have Jason Avant out there. Riley cooper drops more passes than catch them. I dont even know how he is still on the Eagles roster, actually idk how he is still in the NFL!!!

  • @problemchild943 it was his 3rd start EVER. Even Lance Alworth dropped 3 passes in one game when he first started. You know who is 3rd in the league for drops? DeSean Jackson, u know who cost the Eagles 3 games because of drops and a fumble? Maclin, so get the hell out of here bout how he doesn't belong in the league;Receivers drop routine passes constantly, the passes he dropped weren't the easiest, one he had to make a 180 spin n across the middle arms extended, none in chest

  • @dwid1984 Jasson Avant is like a poor man's ricky proehl. Good for a first down and thats it, defenses don't fear him. He only got a bunch of catches because they played prevent defense leaving the middle wide open, wasn't a factor when the fame counted

  • @problemchild943 hes been better than expected for the eagles this year. when jackson and steve smith leave next year hell be a nice addition. not a starter, no. the eagles need to find a reciever in the draft. but a good 3rd option

  • the eagles dont need to resign desean, maclin is a better reciever and deserves the number 1 spot where he will shine, riley cooper can be a good no. 2, he can fill that deep threat void when jackson is gone too.

  • Riley Cooper will be a great NFL receiver when given the opportunity to do so. Philly should trade him to Denver for coach Fox and two future draft choices.

  • well he got a touchdown maybe eagles will release jackson next year and put cooper on starting

  • @hairykiller1 Jackson finally had a decent game, but Young targeted Cooper more. Now if only Young could throw more accurately.....

  • @dwid1984 dont worry bout young its his first start since like in a while so give him time he will adapt though he has to learn that jackson is not at type of receiver that goes FOR the ball he just waits to have the ball fall in his hands he doesnt even go for it on a couple of passes however Im a cowboys fan lol and I was pretty happy that the giants lost man the nfc east is thick now tough man!

  • Riley needs to start for Philly now!!! while Jackson is stinking it up...

  • @maximus14433 yes, Philly is struggling because all of their receivers are on the smaller size, they get jammed at the line easily. Thats not something you have to worry about with Cooper, plus he is used to playing with a scrambling qb, knows how to come back to the ball. Philly fans have been screaming for a true number 1 receiver, well they got it, hes just on the bench. You can't have your 1 and 2 receiver under 200 pounds, both can stretch the field but so can Riley

  • you gotta look at some of the best passing offenses, they usually got a big physical guy to catch. Saints have Colston. Green Bay has Nelson who replaced Driver. Patriots have been using Gronkowski as their physical receiver, hes a te but basically lines up like a receiver, Hernadez is the te/fb, they need to get a bigger receiver though, maybe resign Moss. Texans did have Andre Johnson.

  • I like how he handed the ball the ref after he scored. It's good to see we still have classy athletes out there.

  • Rileys a BEAST never delete!!!

  • Another GREAT late round pick by the EAGLES..... I Loved this kid coming out of Florida. R.C. bailed Tim Tebow out of many passes in college. He will pay great dividends for the birds. He aint scared either.

  • false start 0:32 not called

  • troy dude talking shit after the hit @ 1:51

    look at the score faggot

  • hes not strong as avant..but he can get better

  • he needs more play time

  • the only problem with riley is that sometimes he drops very catchable balls but other than that, he is a great receiver

  • @Andydag904 80 percent of the receivers in the NFL drop catchable passes, even the ones considered elite. Tebow threw an ugly pass that was wobbly and hard to adjust to

  • @dwid1984 you mean those accurate deep throws that were right on the money?

  • @roddoliver wtf are you smokin, need to get your vision checked, the only one that was right on the money that went deep was at 6:44, the rest he had to adjust, just look at :53 is a good clear picture of the ball, its not a spiral, its wobbly, and thats one of HIS GOOD THROWS. Tebow had to work hard after college to get his mechanics better, he improved and is still improving.

  • @roddoliver did you catch Eric Decker drop two of Tebow's passes that were right on the money? I followed Decker in college, hands of glue, never dropped a pass

  • very underrated WR....i hope he proves himself and gets a starter job...he can be something special.

  • needs a haircut haha

  • This is the way I see it. The Eagles are running the PURE west coast offense. So there will be less deep routes and the West Coast offense requires sure-handed receivers who are comfortable catching in heavy traffic. I know most Eagles fans saw the hit D-Jax took in the game vs Redskins. I think it should good D-Jax #1 Maclin #2 and Cooper #3 He needs to prove himself. Thats how D-jax did. He started at number 3 and worked his way up. That is what cooper needs to do.

  • If Cooper turns out to be the player that people are saying he is, the Eagles have the best receiving core in the NFL. Jackson is the most explosive receiver, Avant has some of the most clutch hands, and Maclin is a cross between them. Cooper could just add on to that. Sucks that McNabb never had these weapons from the start, could have been sure SB winners.

  • @roxgod666 ya but we got kolb to fill in now. even though he still needs to play a bit smarter. we'll have a ring in no time if he works on that

  • @roxgod666 I agree

  • wow 6:36 carries almost two people to the sidelines haha. this is the type of reciever the eagles have been missing since T.O. ... a burner like jackson and maclin are nice, but a big ol physical guy is what kolb will need this year to grow with

  • 4:40 an nfl scouts claim he's not a burner

  • the eagles r hella smart 4 pickin him up in the draft

  • i love his heart!

he'll go head up with any defender and get up and talk shit. he's a beast

  • 1:40 to 1:54 riley fuckin POWNED U

  • The Troy defender that gets up and pounds his chest when he 1) just got bowled over by a receiver and 2) whose team is losing 42-3, cracks me up. You didn't deliver the punishment so much as you received it.

Some "wow" plays in this vid for sure. That fake against 'Bama was indeed sweet. His competitiveness really shows up on tape when he's running after the catch. If he can contribute as a rookie, that makes the Eagles' O that much more potential to be very dynamic. This player is nice...

  • that was an impressive fake come back then sprint downfield tbh, looks like he has some great potential

  • GREAT REDZONE TARGET FOR OUR TEAM.

    WE BLEED GREEN!!!!!!!

    GO EAGLES!!!!!!!

  • anybody know this song?

  • if he doesnt do good at reciever hes got the frome to be a recieving tight end

  • @takun1551 wat are you talking about hell never be a tight end

  • Cooper #1 D jack at the 2 spot and Maclin playing the slot with Avant coming in to play ? Don't forget Celek,Ingram and rookie Clay harbor - rb's-L mcoy,Mbell,Cscott,Mmallet and fullback Lweaver it's about to get ugly !

  • @FIZZUM no d-jax 1 mac 2 cooper 3 slot then avant and baskett

  • @Jordex8 why would you put a 6'3 receiver in the slot? you need a smaller guy in the slot, cuz they have shorter legs and are good on short routes with quick cuts. Just because he is white doesn't mean he is automatically a slot receiver. Its like nobody can accept a white guy playing on the outside, they automatically have to be a brandon stokley or a wes welker. Cooper is 6'3 and is an outside receiver otherwise its wasting his talent, you wouldn't put crabtree or fitzgerald in the slot

  • @dwid1984 maclin is a tall guy aslo buddy and it has nothing to do with his skin color i have no idea were u got tht from im saying he will be more of a slot because maclin and jackson are the starters

  • @Jordex8 Maclin is barely 6 ft, and 3 inches is a big deal (thats what she said) No seriously look at them both play. Maclin is quick and good on the underneath stuff and Cooper is a long strider, so it would make more sense to put him on the outside. The only certain starter is Jackson, besides most teams are using 3 wide receiver sets for a good deal of a game. On Maclin "some days Maclin will be the fourth-most-important offensive weapon. But the underneath stuff should be there for him"

  • I mean look at Wes Welker, hes in the slot, is he not considered a starter? He has had 3 years with at least 100 catches, only 5 other plays have done that in the history of football. He is a starter. Putting Maclin in the slot doesn't mean he isn't a starter. He is a guy that can run the underneath stuff and get yards after the catch. You put Cooper in the slot and your turning a deep down the field threat into a possession receiver, because you need to be able to cut quick to get yac

  • @dwid1984 good point i am very excited to see him play especially in a eagles uniform

  • Eagles have a lot of talent at wide receiver, but no true number 1 wide receiver, Jackson and Maclin are both on the small side, they need to line up Cooper at one of the outside spots to have a big physical presence, 6'3 220 pound 4.5 guy to line up on the other side, have Jackson as a deep threat on the other side and put Maclin in the slot

  • crazy. desean jackson is a number 1 wr, and maclin has the makings of a number 1 wr. no way cooper should start over them. he's a solid pick up, but get real @dwid1984

  • @BootyClapTV Jackson is not a true number 1 wr, just the same way Curtis was not a true #1 receiver. Hes good for stretching the field with his speed but with his size it is not wise to have him running all the routes a number 1 runs. Cooper has the size and speed to be a true number 1. You saw the hit Jackson took and the concussion he had, hes 175 pounds. With Kolb there will be more dinking and dunking. Cooper is the guy that can stretch the field and catch the short-intermediate throws

  • in the new offense, the number 1 will have to run a lot slants, drags, hitches, curls, and quick outs rather than posts, corner patterns or just straight up basic fly routes, which is what Jackson is good at doing. He isn' afraid of going across the middle, he just doesn't have the size to like when he got the snot knocked out of him. That is why they brought in so many big receivers like Cooper 6'3 220, and the UDFA's like Pat Simonds who is 6'5 230

  • it doesn't mean his role will be reduced, just that he is not the number 1. He will be the guy on the other side of a big physical wide receiver. He will be there to stretch the field vertically. Cooper is more than a solid pick up, he is one of the best wide receivers in this draft class.

  • I just noticed that he beat first round cornerback Patrick Robinson in this video for around 60 yards in two plays. Robinson was timed at somewhere between 4.38 and 4.45

  • I love this pick by the eagles. I also hope the TE C. Ingram gets healthy from florida.

  • @shahbucks ya it was a shame that he got hurt but what do you think about clay harbor? i think hes a pretty solid player and a hard worker.

  • @mcintosher i think Clay Harbor is what the Eagles were looking for in Ingram. A athletic pass catching TE to use in two wr sets with Celek. Basically a watered down version of the Patriots lol..

  • Man he's huge and fast, good pick up EAGLES!!! Upgrade from Kevin "I'm Hurt" Curtis.

  • Watch and learn! Riley Cooper will show you how it's done and how to do it right!

  • can someone tell why he snap from shotgun all the time?

  • @nikboss3000 They run spread offense meaning QB takes the snap from shotgun so he can see the Defense. Its to help young QB's

  • wtf... does everything have to be about color for some people... Receivers catch balls and run period

  • i don't know... here in philly we need strong, fast black men.

  • @latefoot Cooper is a strong fast white man, whats the difference?

The second leading single season receiver in the Reid era is a fast white man, Kevin Curtis, hes right behind T.O. Cooper has just as much game speed as Curtis but is 6'3 220 pounds and very strong and physical

  • @dwid1984 Cooper is definitely faster in the game than in the 40, but kevin curtis was much faster than cooper but cooper is not slow but any means.

  • @dwid1984 hmmm desean is number two... he beat curtis marks this past year..

  • @Ruckas356 yeah by like 40 yards, 2 of his best games were with Kolb throwing the ball, 250 yards receiving in Kolb's two starts, something Curtis didn't have in his prime. Kolb had 2 300 yard games when he started, one was close to 400. Also Jackson had his longest catches in his career with Kolb, 71 yards and 64 yards, theres a reason why he bashed mcnabb

The list goes like this T.O. 1200 yards, DeSean Jackson 1156 yards Kevin Curtis 1110.

  • and besides, Jackson had Celek (76 catches 971 yards) and Maclin (56 catches 773 yards) to help open things up, even Avant had close to 600 yards. When Curtis did it Reggie Brown was the second leading receiver , and then after that the most receiving yards was by Westbrook. Curtis was the only deep threat. Celek is a a te but pretty fast and good at the underneath stuff and Maclin can go deep just as well as Jackson and and Avant has become decent

  • so i wasn't totally up to date with the stats, Curtis is now the 3rd leading receiver, behind TO and Jackson, but only behind jackson by around 40 yards.I believe Curtis is the only guy to have a 200+ yard receiving game but i could be wrong, he had a 11 catch 220 yard perfomance

  • @latefoot ever heard of kevin curtis? one white guy aint gonna hurt the team, plus he hasnt even had time to play yet so dont hate until you give him a chance.

  • @latefoot STFU racist and btw, im black

  • @latefoot dude i'ma black women & i dont know where this misconception came from where ppl think you cant be a successful white wr, Riley Cooper is the best did you see he's one handed catch against the bulldogs, or the way he shook the LSU player, and he was fast @ the combine, even Deion Sanders say he was awesome. Latefoot lay off, remember white ppl use 2 think black men couldn't be QB's cause it was thought that they weren't smart enough

  • @latefoot lol, doesn't look like your coaching staff thinks so. They added 5 white receivers this offseason. Riley Cooper, Kevin Jurovich, Pat Simonds, Chad Hall (WR/RB) and Blue Cooper. All of those guys have talent to play at the next level, except Blue Cooper.

  • Riley has the most talent out of the whole bunch and has STAR written on him and is the only 1 that could be a great number 1 receiver, but Jurovich and Simonds were pretty damn good in college. and could be solid #2-4 wrs somewhere. Chad Hall is small but is explosive and a good rushing/receiving threat. They were able to scout well with guys like Maclin and Jackson, I think they know what they are doing.

  • Eagles baby !! We are going to own everybody !!

  • the eagles will have so many targets for Kolb they will be a top 5 offense this year now if the defense can catch up?

  • tim tebow is so inaccurate and slow on the delivery of the throw.

  • @majorSH0CK and he had close to 1,000 yards, averaging around 19 yards per catch with Tebow throwing wobbly passes, half the time Cooper would be open 20-30 yards down the field and Tebow would throw to a guy 5 yards in front of him, either he didn't see him or didn't trust his arm to make the throw. Just imagine what he could do with a quarterback like Kolb who can actually throw the ball

  • @dwid1984 WObbly passes lol, so true

  • Eagles just got him and Charles scott!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow I'm surprised this kid fell to the 5th round. Welcome to philly. I hope he makes the team. Trust us we have an actual accurate QB now. Kevin Kolb will make you better.

  • Welcome to Philly! a Sleeper in the 5th round.

  • Welcome to Philly

  • good pick up by philly go eagles!!!!!

  • welcome to philly

  • hope atlanta gets him

  • Fun 2 watch this and realize how kewl he was to watch in all these games this past season. Glad he chose fb over bb as his pro sport. I'll be interested to see how he does as a pro.

  • I would have predicted a low 4.4 for this kid, he doesn't lose speed in pads though. The combine track is slower and electronic timed. Supposedly Cooper ran a 4.35 once in H.S, but it was probably his fastest HAND-TIMED time he ever ran. You can usually take the times players are reported to run by Rivals and Scout in H.S- hand-timed- and add 0.05-0.1 second to them for the NFL combine.

  • That fade that Brantley throws at 2:22 is a thing of beauty.

  • 16. Chris McGaha 17. Mike Williams 18. Dezmon Briscoe 19. Marc Mariani 20. Kerry Meier 21. Andre Roberts 22. Jeremy Williams 23. Danario Alexander 24. Freddie Barnes 25. David Gettis 26. Tim Toone 27. Antonio Brown 28. Marcus Easley 29. Ryan Wolfe 30. Pat Simmonds 31. Chris Carter 32. Emmanuel Sanders 33. Kevin Jurovich 34. Naaman Roosevelt 35. Verran Tucker 36. Andrew Brewer. Top FAs Tim Brown, Alric Arnett, Bryan Anderson, Kyle Williams, Seyi Ajirotutu, Shay Hodge, David Reed, Austin Rogers.

  • Cooper's not a 1st round WR! Not top 5. About 5 WRs are taken each round. I'd say 2nd round. If he'd gone sub 4.4 with his impressive production then I'd have considered him top 5. FACT: The top 15 are 1. Golden Tate 2. Dez Bryant 3. Damian Williams, 4. Eric Decker 5. Demaryius Thomas 6. Jordan Shipley 7. Blair White 8. Brandon Lafell 9. Riley Cooper 10. Arrelious Benn 11. Mardy Gilyard 12. Taylor Price 13. Jacoby Ford 14. Carlton Mitchell 15. Dexter McCluster. BTW not a fact just an opinion!

  • no way is riley cooper a top 5 wr in this draft...sorry

  • ah, thats what people said when I ranked Austin Collie as the 5th best receiver out of last year's draft, guess what, he fell to the 4th round but performed like the wide receivers taken in the 1st. I don't rank by where he will go in the draft, its irrelevent because plenty of early round busts, but rank how they will produce in the NFL, and he will be top 5, mark it down

  • who the hell is CSU lol, troy???, but at 1:58 shouldn't that be on one of the hardest hit highlights ;D, not sure where I saw where I would wanna play him to be even in the top 10 maybe the top 15

  • if you would watch the video you would see its mostly sec teams, its a 8:25 min video and those two teams are only 2 mins of it, it goes by order of the season and Troy is actually a good team, they put defenders into the NFL

  • or do you only have a 2 minute attention span

  • Hey dwid,

looks like Cooper is not as fast as we both thought. you said 4.3 , i said 4.5. he ended up running a 4.52. oh well. he's still a good mid to early-late round pick. i hope he goes to a team with a qb that can throw the deep ball.

  • Yeah, really thought he would run in the 4.45's at the worst. I guess you were right about Florida's times being off, Joe Haden was supposed to be a 4.4 guy and ran a 4.6 unofficial. 4.5 is still great speed for a 6'3 guy and his deep speed shows up on film. He will probably get sub 4.5 at his pro day where the track is a little faster but not 4.3 like I thought. Oh well, i can admit when im wrong

  • don't worry dwid, he will go sub 4.5 at his proday. plus running faster than Joe Haden at florida's pro-day will make scouts pay more attention to Riley. qucik question dwid, is there a list of all the official times for the players' 40's. every list i find has official times for some and unofficial for others. are only the top performers given official times?? is it only the top ten performers in the 40 that get their "official" electronic times posted?

  • its really confusing this year. Reading up on it, even the official ones listed for the top performers aren't official.

""Combine data put together for NFL teams by the National Football Scouting service, the private entity not owned by the league but which is actually in charge of running the event, includes all six of those times for each player, but no single official time. Teams and scouts don't receive that information until at least two weeks after the event."

  • hate to tell you but he definatly is not a top 5 wr

    1:dez bryant

    2:golden tate

    3:arrelious benn

    4:jacoby ford

    5:mardy gilyard

cooper doesnt have that great of hands

  • jacoby ford? because he ran a good 40 yard dash? Heyward Bey? gilyard overrated, look at the sugar bowl, he was shut down while cooper had 180 yards. Cooper has good hands. Benn is a physical possession receiver, not top 5, top 10. Tate is small and struggled to get separation against college corners, he made alot of catches in traffic, I don't think he can be physical enough to do that in the nfl consistently to be considered top 5. Bryant, issues and didnt even play last season, will be rusty

  • Cooper has just as good of an argument to be in the top 5 just as those guys do

  • look at Bradford he was injured basically this entire season and is predicted to be taken as the first QB in the draft. Bryant or Tate will be one of the first two wr taken this draft. Benn is physical yes but he didnt have a good QB at illinois so he didnt get the ball as much as expected. Cooper is slow he dropped countless number of passes this season which trust me scouts will look into. you obiviously have never seen ford play at clemson but him and cj spiller did work there this season

  • I watched all of UF games making this video, Cooper didn't drop that many passes. Tebow failed to throw anywhere close to him on numerous occasions. Tebow struggles to throw accurately with the deep ball which is where Cooper is best. There were times he was wide open 30-40 yards down the field and Tebow would make the check down to Hernandez for 5 or 10 yards. So if anyone suffered from poor qb play its Cooper Juice Williams had a good junior season.

  • yeah dont get me wrong Cooper is a great wide reciever but hes not top 5 and when draft day comes i will guarentee you he will not be picked in the top 5 recievers that go. There is better talent out there in those 5 people i named over cooper

  • and hes not slow, as you can see in the video, hes 6'3 and has burned dbs when actually hit in stride if you watch the video. he ran faster at the combine than guys like Gilyard

  • Gilyard had 5 catches for 103 yeards in the seinor bowl while riley cooper had 2 catches for 37. so you explain to me who can and cant get open

  • I think you're putting too much into the 14% body fat. Doesn't mean that he has a poor work ethic. But Riley Cooper was really far off the 4.3 you predicted for him, coming in at 4.52 (unofficial) Golden Tate's unofficial time was 4.36 and 4.37 with an official of 4.42. He most certainly has been working.

  • yes I was way off, but Riley looked a little nervous today, some uncharacteristic performances in some of the drills. Happened to Gilyard too, who ran 4.56 (unofficial)

  • I think its up to the person mentally to be good. Running a 4.36 40 for Tate is great, but is it really that much of a difference between Riley is they r both doing a quick slant with DB around them. U just gotta have a strong determenation and mind set to achieve what u want. and never give up

  • Riley has the size advantage also

  • @texas2433

hey us there a list of all the official times for the players' 40's. every list i find has official times for some and unofficial for others. are only the top performers given official times??

  • I'd definitely put Bryant and Tate above Riley, among others. But the WRs work out this sunday so by the time the weekend is over we'll know a whole lot more.

  • Tate just measured in at 14 percent body fat which is pretty good for the average joe but for a football player at wide receiver it is high. It would be considered low if he were a lineman, it also shows poor work ethic

  • It is the physical skills he has. First, he was hurt most of the season but somehow played on. Plus, if any top WR suffered from bad use or bad QB play it was Benn. Juice Williams? You and I could have been better QBs than that guy. Besides, Riley is good, put up good numbers, but aside from the 68 yard catch he had against SC, he was just OK against the SEC. His stats just don't pop off the page.

  • What physical skills? hes doesn't have breakaway speed, hes a big physical possession receiver, thats it. Hes good but not top 5 good. Hasn't found the endzone that much (7 career tds) Juice had a good junior year. If you want a big physical possesion receiver from the big 10 Id say Decker is better, has 24 career tds and also had a crappy qb, couldn't anticipate routes, injured since the 3rd game of the season, played hurt and missed the 2nd half of the season and still put up better than Benn

  • Not saying Benn is bad, he is top ten, he was just hyped up his freshman year, and will be a great possesion receiver at the next level. Reminds me of Muhsin Muhammad, big physical receiver that goes across the middle, if anybody is like Ed McCaffrey its Benn. Great route runner

  • and like I said, Riley also suffered from qb play. The stat that pops out on the page is yards per catch at 18. Tebow is great on short to intermediate routes but that isn't Cooper's strong suit. Making this vid I saw countless times Cooper was open downfield and Tebow wouldn't see it and throw to a checkdown like Hernandez or ran with the ball (which Tebow is great at) either that or he felt safter making the shorter throw, or maybe he just didnt go through his progressions right, i dont know

  • I know that is one thing Tebow needs to work on in the pros, is making better reads and finding the open man down the field/and the best matchup, if someone is open 40 yards down field and has 2 or 3 yards of seperation he has to be able to throw it in that window. Tebow has a strong work ethic so I think he will be able to accomplish, but Cooper's stats did suffer from this. He will be best used as to stretch the field, like Devery Henderson, except Cooper's hands are better

  • actually its 18.8 yards per catch, closer to 19. But his skillset is what teams really want, he may be a little raw, but you just can't find his speed/size everywhere. He has great hands. He just needs to work on route running a little bit, which can be taught, great run blocker for sure. Guy had only 50 catches but close to 1,000 yards. He can be a game changer at the next level

  • Dez Bryant is a guy you can safely put above Cooper, but I dont know what his draft stock is after missing most of the season, wasn't an injury so shouldnt affect it that much, maybe Briscoe, although I didn't like his attitude watching him, he didn't seem like he played with that much intensity in every game, took plays off. Maybe Tate above

  • i do know one thing, he makes the guys covering him look really slow, like the guys from South Carolina and at 6:03, number 13 looks like he is running in thick mud compared to Cooper

  • I also want to correct an earlier mistake. Jordan Shipley is better, not maybe. Also, I forgot to add Arrelious Benn to my list of WRs better than Cooper. As well as Danario Alexander, Eric Decker and Desmon Briscoe.

  • how is Benn better? out of all the wide receivers. Benn is overrated as hell. Briscoe, Decker, Shipley...maybe They all offer a different skillset so it depends on what you are looking for. Decker is a great physical receiver, like Crabtree. Shipley is very quick and speedy, good at yac. Benn is a big possession receiver that only had 500 yards this season and 3 tds, top 10 at best.

  • there is much more to athleticism than just speed. That guy could be fast, but agility, quickness and acceleration all factor in. There are plenty of guys who are just as fast as any of these NFL guys, the difference is overall athleticism and why that guy is playing at Cinci and not somewhere else. When guys are that fast (4.4 range) you give someone a single yard while out of position and it'll be hard to catch up to anyone. Tim Tebow would have run away from that corner in that situation.

  • Tim Tebow could not have run 70 yards away from that defender, that is ridiculous to think. If you have 4.4 speed, over 70yards, you should be able to come a little closer to another 4.4 guy, but Cooper created more seperation as they ran

  • look Cincy might not be filled with 4 and 5 star prospects, but it doesnt mean they don't have guys that are on that level on the team, they just don't have as many as other teams. From what I read that guy is supposed to be good.

  • I have no doubt he is better than people are giving him credit for, and will be better than what people are projecting, but there are at least a handful of WRs that will make better pros than Cooper will.

  • Dez Bryant,

    Golden Tate

    Damian Williams

    Brandon LaFell

    Mardy Gilyard

    Jordan Shipley (maybe)

Just to name a few. Plus, the first 2 minutes of the video are against Charleston Southern and Troy. I didnt really see him get deep against other SEC teams in this video.

CBSSportsline has Cooper as the #20 WR prospect in the draft. I think its too low for him and someone is going to get a steal if it stays that way. I see Cooper being very Ed McCaffery-ish. Which is not a bad thing.

  • Troy actually has a good defense and then the other SIX minutes are against top competition. South Carolina? see at 4:40 where he is actually hit in stride, no one can come close to catching him. He is nothing like Ed McCaffery except that he is white. 6:39 burns a corner in the Sugar Bowl. His deep speed wasn't utilized much, ran alot of possession receiver routes because of Tebow, but look at how he does when used that way

  • that would be awesome if he played in the nfl

but i heard he plays baseball to so he might go to the mlb

  • hes definitely going to play football this year, his mlb contract is already voided.

  • Im pretty sure he's going to play in the mlb and not nfl so this is kind of pointless.

  • if you have read any recent interview with him he said he is going the football route

  • The other Gator at the Senior Bowl, wide receiver Riley Cooper, said he's ditching professional baseball for the NFL because he loves football and his stock has risen. Cooper signed a $250,000 signing bonus with the Texas Rangers during the summer, money that he will no longer receive. "Just my makeup, my mentality — I'm kind of a football player, not a baseball player," said Cooper,

  • Hes super fast, very first play this video he burns the DBs then has to slow down because the ball is underthrown. He ran right past them, even though the CB gave him a huge cushion.

  • I don't know for sure (who does?) if Riley is faster than those guys, only that in a 100 meter/yard dash I know that he wouldn't get blown out, he'd be no more than a yard or 2 behind any NFL player. Coop IS that fast and if he gets behind a CB and he's hit in stride it's all over, TD!

  • you could be right, the combine is electronically timed , only a few tries in one day without pads on of course. Some players look faster than what they were electronically timed at on the football field. Ive seen guys who were timed at 4.5 outrun 4.3/4.4 guys on the field Harvin is one of those guys that is fast with the pads on as well on the track

  • Glad that we can agree. It seems that most people on YouTube are just looking for someone to fight with. Keep on doing what you do! I like your videos.

  • Damn, he's fast! He looks a little raw, but has plenty of upside.

  • These people commenting are dumb a 4.5 is colt mccoy/tim tebow speed im pretty sure riley cooper will not be like that.

  • In a 50-100 yard dash Riley would probably be close to the fastest player in not only this draft but in the NFL. Coop's top end speed is 2nd to none, he has such a long stride that once he's in it there's NO catching him!

  • and 4.5 is plenty fast for a guy of his size, its just he is faster than that which makes him an even better prospect, you can see the way he plays on the field he has the size/speed combo of someone like Moss which is rare. Matt Jones was taller and ran a 4.37, just watch the plays like where he burns the South Carolina cornerbacks or the 80 yard pass against Cincy, when he is hit in stride there is no catching him from behind, he averaged 18 yards per catch this year.

  • i like Cooper and ive read he's working hard to get his 40 time down but i don't trust Florida's 40 times. plus i think 4.5 flat is plenty fast for a WR with his size. but again, i would love for him to go 4.42 - 4.45. that would go along way in securing a good draft spot.

  • im trying to comment but my posts not going thru

  • he's doesnt have 4.3 speed but he is a good receiver with enough speed to stretch the secondary. i hope he ends up on the chiefs. they are going to throw the ball a lot next yr. patriots of the midwest.

  • he actually ran a 4.37 40 coming to Florida, not sure if his speed has gone down or what but I guess you wil see it if he gets invited to the NFL combine.

  • i predict he'll run 4.5 flat at the NFL combine. what do you think he'll run? keep in mind the combine is electronically timed.

  • my bad he didn't beat Demps but he ran step for step with him. Demps has world class speed and ran a 10.01 100 meter dash and runs a 4.3 in the 40

"so much has been talked about of how fast Jeff Demps and Chris Rainy are but you talk to anybody on the Florida team about Riley Cooper and they will tell you Cooper can run step for step with those guys, Actually last week Cooper laid the block for Brandon James kickoff return for a td, and then outran James to the endzone"
