  • Knowing stuff like this used to be considered an important social grace rather than jumping around to techno.

  • Nice and beautiful instructions. Excellent.

    Thank you.

  • omggggggg fights on the internettttttt

  • @gallisable Actually there was (or is) a dance called 'cakewalk' where black people would imitate white peoples dances in a funny way :) But I disagree. We might have different styles, but that doesnt mean ALL white ppl cant dance ;) But yeah.. foxtrot is kinda gay. Bad example ;)

  • @gallisable

Yeah, but whites know blacks can't read, talk or graduate from college. So it evens out...

  • @rrrevan -_- really?

  • @ColorMeHoppy

    really *:*

  • America..The bastion of democracy.. Where EVERYTHING must be made simple so that idiots can join in.

  • @priapus56 Holy shit you live in a country where everything isn't slowed down for the retarded masses?

  • @Eritsasaku Of course I don't. But you lot started it!

  • @priapus56 "but you lot started it!"

the only assumption that can be made out of this is that you are blaming the American country for the idiots in yours?

You sir are one of those idiots lol

  • @Eritsasaku Idiots have a habit of making assumptions where there is little or no justification for doing so. You have indubitably proved yourself the idiot in just two posts...congratulations.

  • @priapus56 You stated that America is where everything must be made simple so that idiots can join.

Rather then assuming your a horrible American with no patriotism and looking at you negatively I gave you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you lived in another country that does not have everything slowed down for the dumbest person.

You then said of course you didn't but america started it.

which means that you are now blaming our country for the idiots in yours

  • @priapus56 Unless you live in America in which case you are most definitely one of those idiots, for you are tearing down your own nation, and you are most definitely not above them in anyway.

  • @priapus56 furthermore I clearly state everything was an assumption, which means if it is wrong it is your job to clarify it, for i am only making assumptions because YOUR ENGLISH SUCKS ASS.

"of course i don't but you lot started it!"

^what the fuck does that mean? who started what? You did not clarify shit by this sentence, So i have to make assumptions due to your lack of communication.

You sir, are in fact an idiot. good day.

  • @Eritsasaku Keep going, the more you talk the bigger the idiot you appear to those who have the misfortune to read this page. You really do not have to work any harder. As I said, you have already proved, in two posts, that you are an idiot; a fine feat, most idiots usually take about three or four.. You must be a really good, confirmed idiot. Now, run along, there's a good boy. I'm sure you've got a hamburger and a gallon of coca-cola to swallow and some trashy television shows to watch..

  • @priapus56 Alright "sir" why don't you use basic english to point out exactly what makes me look like an idiot in 2 posts.

I have already stated that you are in fact an uneducated twat, for not knowing basic communication skills and for failing what i believe is your native language. So why don't you use these magical things called "quotation marks" and point out exactly what makes me an idiot.

  • @priapus56 Again just in case you didn't catch it. I have clearly quoted portions of your comments that show your ignorance and stupidity to what is considered basic communication skills, Let alone the fact that you have either blamed America for the idiots in your country, or have torn down your country WHICH INCLUDES YOURSELF.

Caps lock is being used to clarify since you seem to be a poor reader.

Now if i am truly the idiot it would take you no effort at all to point it out so go ahead.

  • @Eritsasaku ...zzzzzzzz.. ta-ta now.

  • @priapus56 lol my point exactly, goodnight troll, I hope making yourself look like a dumbass while calling someone else stupid has made you feel accomplished lol

  • @priapus56 Also just for your education since you're rather good at making yourself look stupid on the internet heres a pro tip, If you call someone stupid without pointing out why they are stupid, you only make yourself look like a fool.

Simply saying "you've made yourself look dumb haha" is the same as saying "oh yeah well your stupid!"

Until you actual point something out your just randomly insulting.

  • quickstep version is better its faster.

  • excellent excellent tutorial video. I appreciate it.

  • thank you!

  • @BuildTheMoon The word is 'taught' not 'teached'

  • @BuildTheMoon lmao

  • Very helpful video! I'm taking a beginner ballroom course where we learn a different dance style each week. It's useful to review both the steps I learned last week (meringue) and preview the ones I'll be learning this week (foxtrot). Thanks for uploading!

  • Good job, Thanks. A question: is there a difference between fox-trot and quick-step?

  • @13laciotat as far as i can see there is are a looooot of differences. i can do the quickstep but this looks foreign to me.

  • waltz is more elegant

  • what an easy way she has teaching this, so understasndable. Sadly nothing like the foxtrot we are trying to learna but I see this is the american social foxtrot, might just try this at least we'd get round the dance floor lol. Thanks

  • i dont know... the biach who tought me tought something like 3 steps back and then turan and 3 steps forward....confunsing lol

  • wow, that is so cool. Three basic steps and it looks absolutely beautiful.

  • looove the lovely lady!

  • great

  • Great basic video, I'm taking classes, but never really understood where my feet go on the corner. Great demonstration.

  • great teaching ,bravo

  • Important to understand that this is the American "social" foxtrot, not the slow foxtrot which is danced in the rest of the world and is very much more complicated. You'd be laughed off any European dance floor carrying out the steps shown in this clip.

  • Of course you'd be laughed off European dance floors. You can't do this to techno music while holding a cigarette, frowning, and saying something silly about capitalism.

American "social" foxtrot is heavily influenced by the stylings of Fred Astaire. Google that name if you never heard of him.

  • Actually, before the 2nd world war, the original "foxtrot" was quite similar to today's American foxtrot--1930s music like Fred Astaire was sung faster, called "society tempo", and the old "foxtrot" steps were similar to today's Quickstep (back then Quickstep was called "fast foxtrot"), but danced slower.

American foxtrot is equivalent to Rhythm Dancing in England. See people doing this in "The English Patient" to Astaire's "Cheek to Cheek".

  • inappropriate

  • @bkalafut

    u mad?

  • @bkalafut is this the dancing style of Fred Astaire in the movie Top Hat?

  • What a stupid remark. She's a fine teacher and you're getting this for free! You should apologize to her here for your appalling conduct.

  • very well demonstrated ...easy to underst

  • very good teaching
