Man, I had a 71 Triumph Daytona and that thing sound like it was a drum call, people used to ask what was wrong with it and I have to explain it was just designed that way. The little beast ended up catching fire at a stop light on me, a ton of fun to ride when she wasn't throwing a fit.
Tensioner had been updates, the cam chain is within the wear limit and valve adjustment within spec. I guess Kawasaki intended it to sound like a sewing machine :) Wait till you hear one of the older inline fours...like they can explode at anytime!

You can hear the camchain, help the camchain tensioner and the engine will run more quite
