  • Why they call it Skunk?XDDDDDDDD

  • @Healpriest Because when u floor it in a Civic Si the exhaust gas smells really bad. lol

  • just the name brand

  • just love this car, thats all, overall perfection, congrats

  • Comment removed

  • That's fabulous. I'm glad you are so narrow minded that you can't appreciate other cars.

    And yes, the GTI will easily beat an Si. Go figure...

  • Funny, look up the 1/4 mile times...and the GTI is turbo while we are n/a and we are neck and neck if not beating your GTI. I like the car but if you want to start crap and talk trash...get owned by the facts kid.

  • I'm with you, I appreciate a GTI but I also love Honda (more)

  • Its not all about 1/4 mile time.

    Stock for stock, its very close but the SI gets some help with the LSD.

    On the highway the GTI will have the slight advantage.

    Mod for mod, the GTI will beat the SI with its fingers in its nose.

  • mod for mod to a certain point. GTI makes great power from bolt ons and a chip, after that its kind of like hitting a wall because it costs a lot of money. if the si decides to go fi its a diff story

  • Not sure about that.

    Although I meant it more dollar for dollar, the GTI will gains more HP.

    For the price of a Tune, downpipe, exhaust, and intake, with an SI you'll have 210whp and a gti 250whp.

  • Oh yea I know bang for the buck with bolt ons GTI wins hands down

  • The VW Gti is a stock turbo car which cost about $3000 more than the Si, which despite being N/A runs the same 1/4 mile, and in a track, the Gti only wins in the thought that it will run a higher top speed and is an easier everyday ride (won't need as high RPM's thus you can drive in higher shifts) because of the torque difference. Bolt-Ons make more power on a Gti because of the turbo factor, better airflow in Turbo > better airflow in N/A.

  • But then for the difference in money, $3000 more or less dollars that you save by buying the Si instead of the Gti plus the cost of the parts for the Gti for bolt ons, you can go ahead and buy the Si a good bolt on turbo kit. the Gti with bolt ons, chip and all will make around 230 - 240whp, while the turbo Si will make around 275 - 325whp (All Japanese Tuning makes a mean kit that makes up to 364whp I believe). So for the buck the Si is also the better racer :)...read from bottom post to upper.

  • civic si dont need turdo to get 200hp...

  • Mod for mod... So does that include the Si going F/I? same sized turbo with same boost and the Si will be putting down far better numbers than the GTI with equal boost and tune.

  • Very true, but usually mod for mod is also referred to money for money. So in that case, not sure it would be the same league.

  • I still see it as slightly in the favor of the Si. I got mine brand new for $20,500 before taxes. The GTI sells for around $26K-30K in a lot of places now. The VW website says 23 however the dealers are not putting them out at that price. Where as Honda stays close to the projected tag. A turbo kit from AJP doing 4psi puts down 300 at the wheels for only $4k. So like I said 20,500 for my new Si back in 06 + $4K for 300whp and it's still under the GTI's stock price tag.

  • I see what you mean. But I dont want to get into a war here, but they are both made from different aspects and views. The GTI offers many things that the SI doesn't and vice-versa. Its really based on what you want more and where your priorities are set.

  • ivtec engage at 00:18 seconds <33

    haha

    what rims are those?

  • Those are the HFP 18" that you can get from the factory. I like them, but hell, they don't like road gravel. There's tons of pits in them now from debris.

  • what size tire?

    215 or 225?

  • 225

  • how much were the rims?

  • and another question,

    is there an aux jack in the si's?

  • Yep. I think its standard for all the civics

  • 182whp is great for a street car...nice ride

  • tip's dont give hp son full catback's do !!!

  • It's the full 70mm cat-back.

  • is that a full catback or just the tip cause if it aint. then you aint got shit for horsepower on that skunk 2

  • wow, do you even own a car, junior?

    epic fail, n00b.

  • yea i own a car fag 93 civic ex with an h22 engine bitch what now the car has full everything full cat header's all brand name and your point was again dont even try to act like i dont know what im talkin bout bitch !!!

  • you know exactly what your talking about...im sorry though...you have more than 1 header on your car?

  • yea i know i have one header it's a complete h22 tranny and everything i pulled that shit out of as prelude.

  • I think I farted.

  • "the car has full everything full cat header's all brand name" Just cuz you read a few issues of import tuner doesnt mean you know something abou cars. lol at your "all brand names"

  • wash me;)

  • what are the numbers? nice car btw.

  • SAE WHP = 182.0

    SAE WTQ = 134.4

  • Nice! What did you make if you dont mind sharing?

  • That sounds really mean. Sounds better than most evo's and sti's out there

  • What is FG2?

  • FG2 is the chassis code:

    FG1 = Civic LX/EX Coupe

    FG2 = Civic Si Coupe

    FA1 = Civic LX/EX Sedan

    FA5 = Civic Si Sedan

  • OOOohh, thanks dude. i had no idea.

  • fuck yeah nice ride teh aero kit looks kickass in that color as well

  • I'm sure the K20 is detuned from factory...What do youthink?

  • Everything is Detuned. Thats because they want to add a pillow of safety and make sure the car lasts longer. I bet if you leaned out the car, raised the rpm, etc. You could probably get extra 20HP out of it and better gas mileage. Ofcourse, i would never do this to my own car.

  • Thanks. I got my K&N installed yesterday. Check mine out. =D

  • hey, nice sound. I was just wondering if you have a problem with CEL when you had the intake installed?

  • Nope, I haven't had any problems after the intake. I think only early AEM intakes were having issues with throwing CELs.

  • wow that sounded nice. should do good at the tracks

  • in portugal the k20 civic comes with 200hp...

    but in usa you don't have the type-r version, only the si..

  • The K20 is 197HP to the crank, so if your K20 comes with 200HP to the wheels, I say lucky you! I wish we had it here too. And, yes, we don't have Type R as of yet, and may never. We'll see.

  • polish that bitch

  • Oh she is now. Mag-chloride and snow are not my friend.

  • i know what you mean. have same car and hate snow

  • nice

  • i have the same set up, how did the numbers come out?

  • SAE WHP = 182.0

    SAE WTQ = 134.4
