Hehe, TB got some hubris, but that's why we love him.

In that first game TB was being careless with his expensive, upgraded units while the other guy kept his inexpensive colossus/stalker ball in good shape, and considering that it only took a few DTs now and then to keep TB turtling in his base, even that one expansion occasionally downed by TB was enough.

TB you should do Protoss. I don't think that you'd like Zerg's Queen Inject Larvae mechanic or its requirement to always expand. Not to mention that you hate mutas and bainlings...

Protoss's chronoboost is similar to mules and pylons are more like supply depots than overlords (so hopefully you won't get supply blocked any more often than you already do now). Also they can wall in, and probes are more like scvs than drones.

@TheAsianStarcraft No they're not. Protoss units are far more expensive than other races, so in order to macro properly, a protoss needs to be on multiple bases as soon as possible. Colossus/carrier/dt rushing (which is what you're probably talking about when you're saying that they're one-basing) is a completely different thing; there are equivalent tech rushes for each race. btw Protoss T1 tech is horribly weak, and they rely on T3 to stay alive - that basically means multiple bases ASAP.

In reality, any sort of standard play on one base is a very, very stupid idea. Also, you say that zerg one base is inefficient - have you seen 7RR? If improperly scouted they can be deadly, and it is a one-base build. Same with any other rush (4gate/3rax)

@tanmaniac If the 7RR is scouted and defended you pretty mush used all the larva you could have used for drones. That's is what makes the zerg the innefficient, 1base race. Where as the the protoss are the most efficient off one base because of their units. Yes they are expensive but very cost effective. There is a reason a common zerg build is hatch first. It's so they can get the extra larva that they NEED because they are so bad off one base against the other races.

I then watch the replay and see that I completely outplayed my opponent... until the end where I just let my army get slaughtered because of a bad engagement angle, he then proceeds to just kill my production before I can manage to get a decent army back up.
