@PumpkinMassacre I think its likely to be a mind fuck, since corset was killed by god and the demon sisters were just as confused as everyone else. And most importantly, if Stocking hadnt interfered they would have succeeded in their plan to get to heaven, so why have her ruin their plan so that they can then go try it again in a different place? If it is true though, she probably fell when she married the ghost, since she denounced heaven in that episode.

@baval5 Actually this revelation is a plot hole; they wanted to invade heaven, if Stocking really "Was a demon all along" then stocking already 'invaded' heaven numerous times on angel pretense, making her conquest alot more plausible.

If one argues that "The mayor is the one to invade heaven" then look at geekboy at the end, the Mayor attached himself to geekboy without notice, he could've done the same to Stocking in order to invade heaven.

This was stupid as the show itself, nothing special.

@TrojenMonkey you must not have paid much attention, first of all Gainax never intended to make a second season, the fans are demanding it but they still have not come out and said they are. Second, the plot line has been going on steadily in the background of the gags since the demon sisters first showed up (when corset was shown), and was probably planned since the beginning of the show given how quickly Brief showed up.

I'm aware of this enigmatic plot you're talking about, but be sincere...They could've pull out anything with that sort of setup.

Brief ; as Comedic-relief, Antagonists with an unrevealed goal (Destruction is not a plot), working for the 'evil president'....On the superficial plane, it seems like an asspull to allow every episode to run. There's no such thing as battle theme with no antagonists; many times the demon's plot had no connection with monkey-kin, they were arbitrary chars.
