  • I remember I was about 11 years old the first time I saw this episode (circa 1988) and I was surprised the world didn't stop when Richie punched Fonzie.

  • And then Ron Howard went on to direct films in Hollywood. Life imitates art. Can't say I didn't watch this without a lump in my throat.

  • my dad got in a fight cuse he said the fonz was gay

  • Today I rediscovered my childhood.

  • @XAgentShawn Damn how old are you?

  • the fonz banged Richie in da ass on the ride home

  • They dont make TV like this anymore...

  • I love the fonz more then any other character on tv, but watching the later seasons, well he just seemed to have lost a little of his coolness, like in his voice and attitude... I dunno it's just not as 'cool'

  • i swear i started crying at the end of this haha but seriously u know a show is good when it gets u connected like that

  • This made me cry.

  • Man i wish I could have shagged with Mrs C(Marion Ross) back in the 1970's and 1980's.What a sexy milf!!!!

  • that was real emotions not acting.

  • That moustache...

  • Fuck Chuck Norris The Fonz Is to cool to be chuck norris

  • Ive been looking for this for a while thanks for posting it

  • Fonzie was the best lol

  • Richie was the only one who Fonzie would let punch him and get away with it.

  • TV used to be awesome

  • @jimbo525SE yeah really an " antenna on top of your house " days !

  • damn wut a shame watching these guys grow old im 19 i been watchin this since i was real little they had a good run

  • awww the Fonz is all choked up, that kinda killed me inside, so sad!!!

  • the Fonz shpuld be an insteration to all .. tough when you need to me tough but the best friend in the world when needed

  • Did he really said leave-a-mundo at 01:05 ?????

  • Powerful enough to make the fonz himself weep...

  • If Richie just came home from the army, why does he have long hair and not a buzz cut. That was one of the mistakes in this show, they all had 70's hairstyles but lived in the 50's. The Fonz would have had long hair but nobody else would have.

  • @tryithere some of the beatnik type guys had longer hair in the early 1960's.

  • @MrJacMac1986 Richie , Potsie and Ralph weren't beatniks.

  • @tryithere they were in one episode from the 1st or 2nd season, where they went to a beatnik club.Well Potsie and Ralph went disguised as them.I was just saying that other guys had longer hair back then too.The Beatles were the first to make it popular.Einstein had longer hair styled in a kind of grey haired mullet in the 40's and 50's.Long hair for guys didnt really become commonplace til about 1971 though.

  • You don't hit Fonzie, Fonzie hits you except if you're a girl, then he gets you to fall for him.

  • Richie says he was the perfect soldier. Funny thing is, if you go to about the 4 minute mark of youtube.com/watch?v=W3rUQ_w2vjQ Marion says "I'm glad there was no fighting. I didn't raise my son to be a soldier." I guess she did after all.

  • love the double comb-over Richie

  • this is corny, sentimentalist and contrived, yet it's richer and more effecting than anything on TV now.

  • Theyre gettiung older

  • "...and i haven't said a-mundo in a long time!"

  • Fonz was a highschool dropout, draft dodging, bully pediphile nailing high school girls in the guest room over Richie's garage right under the nose of Tom Bosley. LOFL great 70s wholesome entertainment complete with innuendos youll never see in any show ever again.

  • @crossriflecom hopefully all the girls were 18 year olds in their last year of high school.Richie changed the Fonz from being a bully into a nicer guy when he first met him when Fonzie was still in the Falcons

  • @MrJacMac1986 how was fonz a bully? jw

  • @ProFishingGuys Fonz was a bully when he was in the Falcons b4 he met Richie. When Richie sat at his table in Arnolds, Fonz wanted to beat him up in an alley but Richie convinced him to give up his tough ways in the Falcons and leave the gang.

  • Richie calls Joanie, "Johnny"

  • whys richies beer can red and fonzies is blue?

  • @zigzag2399 because he drinks bud-light

  • @Lyoko012345 lite beer was not ever around anywhere in the USA in the 50's or 60's it came out in the 80's it was a new thing then.

  • @anotherhunkydory dude it was just a joke

  • I meet Henry when he was in Sudbury Canada AAAAAAW!

  • Aaaaww, Fonzie just about made me cry.

  • Five beers is a pretty healthy amount of alcohol. For Richie to still seem fairly sober, he must be putting away a lot of beers back home.

  • @jksonny Don't forget years earlier he had 72 teeny weeny glasses of beer in one night!

  • '''so have you thought of a name for your next child?'' bozoff! '''oh you know its a boy!''

  • he has a halo at :16

  • I Remember Watching This Episode When It First Aired Back In '84. It Brought Me To Tears Then & It Still Does Today.

  • Fonz better than chuck norris

  • @GTreid1107 you know fonze kido ? hahaha

  • @GTreid1107 chuck who? =-)

  • 1:43 Richie signs his death warrant

  • this is the best happy days scene ever

  • I've never seen this scene before, I used to watch this show on Nick and Night but I forget if it ever made it this far in the series. Dear Mike I wanted to cry, I think he makes it back to the Wedding though.

  • Porno tasche!!!! <3

  • 2:08 I thought he was going to say, "I just realized I'm gay!"

  • ironicaly richie becomes the boss of fonzie on arrested development.cool legacy

  • Damn i just got teary eyed

  • It makes me wanna cry lol jk

  • Why do I STILL cry watching this episode?

  • Richie bought a five-pack?

  • 1:56 Hahahahaha his face! xD

  • I would think after all those beers Richie would be a little more tipsy.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *TWO THUMBS UP*

  • Holy shit... I need a bucket for my cries.

  • The Fonz keeps his cool.

  • Lol pornstar stache xD

  • he got sober pretty quick..

  • You REALLY wanna see Fonzie vulnerable, look up "Richie Almost Dies"....Niagara Falls, baby

  • i am watching this and the soundtrack is not the same on the hub.did they change it?

  • .....and Richie went on to win an Oscar

  • the Fonz is Chuck Norris in disguise

  • @Lyoko012345 You got it wrong, Chuck Norris is the Fonz in disguise.

  • @Lyoko012345 Nope the fonz is better lol

  • @shereah blasphemy

  • @Lyoko012345 that is blasphemy, that is madness.

  • @Lyoko012345

chuck norris is the fonz's son

  • @Lyoko012345 If The Fonz were Chuck Norris, Richie would be dead and you never would have seen the blow.

  • @Lyoko012345 No. Your statement is backwards. Chuck Norris is the Fonz in disguise

  • @Macdolphins93 no if it was the other way around it would be blasphemy

  • @Lyoko012345 No. Chuck norris is the Fonz in Disguise.

  • why is it so important that he hit him

friends and family always atleast once attack each other but at the same time we have a good time.the reason i keep watching the video is the emotional episode and it makes me sad on how i'm gonna say good bye to my family and friends

fonzie's reaction just made tears run out of my eyes

name should be change to "the saddest Sitcom Scene."

  • this scene made me cry.

  • I haven't seen Happy Days in literally decades and this scene still made me cry today.

  • Thank you.

  • Richie's just angry at himself for growing that gay porn 'stache. I don't blame him.

  • hey dude he autographed a few photos for me and loved my ''HEART ART.''

  • Richie's mustache bothers me in this clip :(

  • he was at a car show

  • What happened here? Was this some sort of return of Richie? i remember for a while on the show Richie wasn't in it anymore, did he come back as an asshole and Fonz had to set him straight?

  • this made me soo emotional.. :p silly right..?? Their charachters are just so genuine and real. They dont make em like this anymore..

  • It would have been funny if Richie hit Fonzie in Arnolds.

  • 10 people were delirious...

  • fonz is such a gorgeous character.... gorgeous face, and love his personality. Sounds lame but I want a guy like Fonzie!

  • richie needs to get hit for that mustache

  • @RustyTrombone "hollywood screen writer"nudge nudge say no more...........PORNSTASCHE

  • This was a touching episode. I once heard Henry say: "I'm only 135 pounds, who the hell am I going to beat up?" -lol

It was supposed to be the early-mid 60's at this point, but everyone was wearing 80's hair styles and clothes. Garry Marshall should have stayed true to the time period. Besides the shark jump, that it what bothered me most about the later episodes.

  • 9:57 ;(

  • They don't make show's like this anyone!!.......what a great show!

  • This is just my opinion, but Fonzie to me...looks like Mike Dirnt in a way. Please do not put rude comments/

  • @LCMScorpio412 I don't know who that is so I'm not gonna disagree with you, but if you post a comment thinking people will write back badly, and u don't want them to, why would you post the comment?

  • The one time fonzie gets shown getting punched after 14 years,,,,, he don't hit back, very dissapointing when i was a kid.

  • 10 people don't have a heart

  • I know that thick mustache thing was popular in the late 70s and early 80s, but it never served Ron Howard well.

  • i was talking to my dad and i was like 'you no, there should be happy programes not one with drama and lots of stuff happening! like hmmm it should be called happy days!' my dad:'well guess what... theres already a proggrame called happy days!' i just fell in shame because i want to be a director!!!!!!!!

  • 10 people sucks

  • nice PICA reference

  • I wish I could direct everyone who had a problem in thir life to this clip, for help in finding the solution.

  • Holy crap!!! I am at work and balling my eyes out. I gotta pull myself together. What a moment.

  • @Keoni3535 i felt the same way..what a great scene..10years of the show all put together in on moment 9:57 ;(

  • Also the fact the Ron Howard came back for the final season...well I have the up most respect for him! A class act!

  • 408 people here GET IT! TEN people however just don't get it!

  • what a show! i miss t.v like this

  • Loved this show!!!

  • I love this show!!!

  • THIS IS THE END?

  • Anybody else feel choked up at the very end?

  • what you crazy, you think I am gonna let you do that a second time

  • This show was the shit!!

  • What happened to Richie's older brother????He just vanished!

  • My favorite show from my childhood!!!!!

  • so sad! i actully cried at this, ive only seen the first two seasons of this show, i love it.

Um, btw did somthing happen to the other house because i thought the door was on the other side.......

  • Redneck music in Milwakee

  • Well, years later, Ron Howard DOES become a very successful movie director, let alone screen writer!!! Who knew??

  • Fonzie drinks a beer? Well he bought one.

  • Fonzie drinks a beer?

  • aww ive neva seen or heard of this show and im in love wit it now

  • Im 13 and i cried at that especialy when he said good bye t foncey

  • Tears welled up in my eyes as Richie was saying his good-byes. Happy Days with the original cast was one of the best things on TV; an American Classic, the likes of which we'll never see again.

  • Richie and Fonzie are so close the only Richie can get away with this! I also think this was more than Richie wanting a different life. I think this was also Ron Howerd saying he wants to be a director now (even though the charactor Richie wasn't trying to be a director the situation is similar)

  • @bandet888

well he turned out to be a good director !!

  • 1:43, For most people, that'd be signing a death warrant.

  • It could be worse Richie, you could be living in a garage and hanging about with children.

  • igot to meet henry winkler in cincinnati it was coooooooooooooool

  • @domes77 wow that is cool was he nice , and why was he in cincy ,oh i know maybe to teach the bengals to be cool .lol

  • Great Stuff, Great Episode & Great SHOW!!!

  • I loved that they brought Ron Howard back and gave his character a proper send off. This was originally his show, and it was strange to tune in one day and all of a sudden he's not there.

  • 9 people named their kids buzzoff

  • That's something I miss about the past. Friends or brothers could sometimes even hit each other yet still remain close if they talked it over afterwards. Nowadays people end relationships and stop talking to each other entirely (I'm talking relationships like guy friends, brothers, father/son, etc., not male/female) over the stupidest of things. People are way too sensitive and petulant compared to the way they were in the past.

  • OMG when Fonzie said i luv u i started 2 cry!!!! I love henery, and ron sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much

  • I LOVE HAPPY DAYS

  • God, i would love to have a friend like Fonzie. he is awesome.

  • 4.00 well he ended up a danmn good director

  • Richie is probably the only person who would be able to go un-harmed after hitting the fonz.

  • @XxWarArtistxX The fonse new Ritches delemma and loved him like a brother. If it were anyone else minus Mr. and Mrs. C They probably would be dead.

  • @XxWarArtistxX Right on dude!!

  • Tom Hanks kicked him through the window. The Fonze was trying to be an example, and we all learned a valuable lesson about revenge.

  • @adamhill18

Yes we learned the valuable lesson that if you try to get revenge on someone it usually works....unless it's the fonz.

  • amen.

  • @XxWarArtistxX tom hanks!

  • @XxWarArtistxX what about Tom Hawks?

  • @XxWarArtistxX well mrs. c or shortcake too

  • @XxWarArtistxX Largely in part because Richie is like the brother that Fonzie never had, thus he'd never hit Richie back.

  • whys richie wearing a shirt that says arnold?

  • @arap422; Perhaps the resturant Arnolds sells those shirts for free

  • I hate "beer" brand beer.

  • One of the best sitcoms ever! I'll never forget Richie's return.

  • Fonzie is the coolest man in the world...but Henry Wrinler comes across as a dork....great acting Henry... lol

  • I grew up watching Happy Days and i admired that show and the actors a true television clasic

  • Skip to 1:43 for the punch.

  • One of the BEST episodes from the later seasons. Especially the audience reaction. It's like Richie punched God in the face.

  • He wanted him to feel awesome before the Fonz would attempt to finish him off Later.

  • 11 years after this moment. They just don't make 'em like Happy Days anymore. : )

  • ron howard wanted to be movie producer

richie wanted to be a newspaper reporter

  • everyone loves laugh tracks, and drama music.

  • The scarcest thing is you hit me!!!!

  • dejayou~ God I love the Fonz :D

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • R.I.P. Tom Bosley and Pat Morita

  • Omg this made me cry XD.

  • Fonzie was a New Yorker aksent

  • is any body else crying like a chick right now , no matter how many times i see that ending i cry like a woman my wife loves it when i watch this she says women like to see there men be a little overwhelm with emotions once in a while to all the wifes out there is this true

  • R.I.P Tom Bosley

  • its dr lawrence gordon and jigsaw

  • This was the first thing I thought of when I heard that Tom Bosley had died. I always wanted to meet him.

  • yeah nice what everyou say
