vintage skateboard collection powell peralta

The other day I was at my local Eastern Boarder. A group of kids come in, one of which is carrying a thrashed board. He wants to sell it to the store for $600. My ears perk up and I check the board out. It's a slightly thrashed Mike Mcgill Powell/Peralta pink and blue snake-skin board. The store employee declined the offer obviously, so I bought it off the kid for $35. I now have an awesome powell board.

I had that Lance Mountain at :19sec and that Mike McGill at :24 sec that Natas at 2:40 but it was a lime green mini, My brother had the Powell R.I.P and that Vallely with the Elephant. I Always wanted that Original Mark Gonzale because it reminded me of my Ocean Pacific T-Shirt

nice. in the 80s/90s when i was a little boy and first stepped into a skateshop to buy my first "not walmart" board....it was like: omg these boards are beautiful! :D , and they still are, got the roskopp eye original with indys and yellow santacruz bullets. it felt like a dream. was stolen from me 3 days later...i think that destroyed a big part in me. i was at the peak of wanting to skate...but could'nt afford a new board for a year. i still hate that thief from the bottom of my heart.

I got a powell cabellaro dragon board simillar to the agent orange at 1:43 for christmas and I love it, I will be buying powell peraltas from now on and Highly reccomend them. :) happy new year!!

Had about 20% of these growing up, thrashed them all.

Funny enough, today I am back to riding a re-issued Ripper. Go figure.
