In the room with the giant clock where you met that chick, what do you do to get the upper secret entrance on the left to open? And how do you break open the floor in that room also?
@HeadBangerAust Upper-right: have the clock subweapon and use it in this room. Upper-left: just wait, it's every other minute I think that it opens. The floor, it's complicated: you need to have both the Silver and Gold Ring equipped. Silver Ring is found in the Bell Tower, but you need a Spike Breaker armor found in the Catacombs, presuming you have the Echo of Bat from Olrox's Quarters. Gold ring is found in the Underground Caverns after beating Succubus in Alucard's Nightmare.
@HeadBangerAust It's in the top comments currently as I see them, but repeating won't hurt me so here it is: ↑↓↘→ + [Attack]; and ←/→ to move during teleport, it's hard to do at first, you might have to practice.
@UnivingIshiro You can never tell for sure, but I find it to be an excellent quality game. Now, if the Castlevanias you love are the older ones, like the ones on the NES and Super Castlevania IV, this is a totally different concept. I like both styles, but this game isn't like them. If you like the ones on GBA and DS, then this is more similar.
It would be funny if someone went in the room at 7:42 and thought: There is probably something in the wall, since the room is empty, breaks the wall and takes the Pot Roast. But then he has to go to the toilet and since nothing attacks him there, he leaves the game for what it is. When he comes back, I would like to see the look on his face.
@DarkEvil87 to answer your question in the description, I think the writer of the dialogue for this game was trying to make it sound older English and Shakespearean. And they failed, but hey, that corniness is why we love it!
i love this game did someone complete the relics?i got 1 left relic.and i dont know where to find it.i finish it many times. it brings back memories.hehe
in lords of shadow before dracula had that name he was gabriel belmont :S that means he is somehow related to the vampire hunter at the beginning of this game, its like a war within a family
@DarkSamus297 i only played it a few hours with a friend,it's said to be playable on the computer, but i'm searching for months and i still dont find anything...
Were can I find the "Silver Clit Ring", I got the Gold Ring I wanna open the secret way under the clock were do I find the other ring "Silver Clit Ring".
@TheProphecy13090 Silver CLIT ring? Well you can get the Silver Ring in the first Bell Tower in the Royal Chapel. There's a room with spikes in there and you need the Spike Breaker Armor to get past them.
@DarkEvil87 i know im noob but how do u break the colum at part 00:47 :S man im really stuck in this part ive looked in the whole castle and idk how to break that wall and open the MAGIC SEALED door help me plz cuz i really like this game . thnks
@KxK96 You can break the wall by going the other way around (shortly after beating Gaibon and Slogra) and going down an elevator. You'll get access to the cannon which you must hit and the wall will break. This is in part 3 (look in the video responses). As for the magic door, you need to get to the librarian (obviously in the library) and buy a Jewel of Open. I think that's in part 5, I haven't checked.
@DarkEvil87 soo theres nothing important behind the wall huh ? anyway lol, whats the merman statue for o.O it says `` summons the oarsman´´ and its kinda weird that alucard get damage in the water lol.
@KxK96 The merman statue is not really for an ability, but a ferryman will appear in the underground caverns if you have it and you need to cross the river with the ferryman.
Yes, I do believe that "What do you here?" would be Old English for "What are you doing here?" You know, like when they use "What say you?" for "What do you say?"
What are you supposed to do when you are next to the wall that gives you the pork roast? I keep just standing there but nothing works. Is there another code or what>
@MrAlholland You slash the wall, get in the newly formed gap and wait for about 30 seconds. The floor should automatically go down like it did in the video. No codes or anything else.
I got lucky and picked up a Rapier from that Black Knight guarding that area to where the Mirror Armor and Diamond Knuckles were hidden. Great vids, they're helping!!!
@Nelius88 I used the Hell Fire spell. You've got to practice to get it right. Press up, down, down-front, front and attack. You press that in a quick succession, then you have a very limited time to press a direction so that Alucard will teleport that way.
@8968469 I think it's in Part 3 of the walkthrough, but basically you have to go around (you should beat Gaibon and Slogra on the way) and hit the cannon's switch from the other side.
@superxbetatester I find the Alucard Sword near the 2 minute mark in Part 28-B. It's in a room not far after you defeat Death (got to go up after getting past him). The Alucart equipments are found in the large clock room where you found Maria for the first time. Have a clock as a subweapon and use it there. A statue will move and you'll get access to the Alucart sword.
I always find it amusing to meet people in Castlevania games, because they're usually just standing in a random spot with no protection, yet have managed not to get murdered by the myriad creatures that somehow are always after you.
@zetanato It's like finding an old shopkeeper in the middle of the hardest dungeon in an RPG. It just makes no sense even if you don't think too much about it.
@Tankanko2 Bah, that's a discussion that's been on for centuries. It's not for women to decide anything about Chivalry. A True Man is a True Man, not because women want it or not, but because he so chooses. Poor little things those girls who can't understand and accept that. I'd rather be a Knight and be alone, than be a common guy and have lots of women. D.R.
It's a magic move that Alucard can do right from the beginning, but it takes practice to do it correctly (I myself forgot to cancel the fireballs). You have to press up, down, forward+attack, but all that in some kind of smooth circular motion. When Alucard disappears, you press left or right to determine which way he teleports. I would've had to press down when he reappears to cancel the fireballs.
You see how I stand still for about 15 seconds at the spot where I got the Pot Roast? That's it, you just have to wait, nothing more, then an elevator will take you down automatically.
Yeah a little accent from Quebec, nothing too bad I hope. Looks like a good headset. I'll look into getting some equipment like that when I have the money for it, which could take a couple of months since I have to deal with some unfinished business first.
@DarkEvil87 I've just beaten SotN for the...3rd time I think. This time I took my sweet ole time and picked up almost every single item in the game, which I think is sweet. On another note, you should do a new SotN playthrough without any cheap weapons and a few more spells, maybe you could even do the luck glitch and keep all of Alucard's weapons. And with commentary it'd be sweet.
Basically I can't do SotN again with all the requests I get, I need to always change games. I used to have about one request in a period of one month or two, now it's 1 or more a week, it's getting crazy. Not that I have any problem with that, of course.
Good compromise, but I just think I've played it enough, I beat it 3 times or more on my own too. Once just before the videos to learn the game, then during the videos and also in a Richter only game. I'd like more to do the other Castlevania games too, including the ones after SotN who still follow the same type of gameplay, giving me an opportunity to try some I've never played. What I'd like to do when I buy stuff is to add separate versions of my videos with commentary, including this game.
I don't have anything to pick up my voice right now except for a really really cheap microphone, but I'm thinking about it. There are other problems, like I'm not a native speaker of English, but that's not necessarily a major problem. Anyway, if I ever get something better, I'll upload a second version of my vids with added commentary I think.
