I've loved the way Nancy has evolved through her career. Those who long for her 1960s performances are missing so much not listening with an open mind to what followed. As she herself has said again and again, she never changed her style, the common charge. Rather she kept evolving as an artist, painting a larger and larger canvas with her music. It's not for nothing she earned two consecutive Grammys in what might be considered her later years. She kept moving to higher levels.
vova47, That's an OLD joke that we musicians use all the time. That's also Ed Thigpen on drums along with Eddie Gomez on bass and Hank Jones on piano.
I'm not to sure about that. I think some of her best musical arrangements with orchestra came out in april. But I like the voice of the older Nancy Wilson, like wine-she get's better with age. You should hear her interpretation of Midnight Sun!

1 you're ignorant
2 that was the great hank jones on piano & eddie gomez on bass, masters who khow how to play behind jazz singers.
3 she' sings like another horn, therefore being 'accompanied' in the pure sense of the word, isn't necessary
