genius musician, you would not believe what a trip this was in 73 . Its now a part of the fabric of our lives but back then when the paint was still drying on Stevie Wonders new albums.. oh my goodness.
@Crazylegs973 You make me sick coming on this video just to insult a great man. I'm not about to spread any hate here, but seriously get a life and stop wasting your own time by going on videos to say something stupid
When I found out the RHCP song was a Stevie cover, I went up in my parents attic and dug up all the old stevie wonder albums. That opened the door to the rest of Wonder's brilliant work.
@Sp00ny1985 - The music is fantastic. I've listened to this song off and on all night. And I'm still jammin'. I only made my moronic out-of-place comment to answer another moronic out-of-place comment. Thanks for being kind with your words. And now... I think I'll listen to it one more time...People keep on learnin'...
@cyberwaffles "Religion cannot survive without science. And science cannot survive without religion" - Einstein. Jesus Christ WAS a man here on earth. There are witnesses to his birth, death and RESURRECTION. One of his greatest doubters (of Jesus' time) was an historian named Josephus. Josephus was a NON-Christian. He also testified on behalf of Jesus. Please read John 14:6.

@homemixer i agree that the popular music of today is not nearly comparable to this, but there is music that is just as good still being made, you just have to find it. It's also just like saying "why can't they make music like Bach anymore?" they do, it's just not the popular stuff right now
@CPickswell good points. It takes effort to find these musicians. I hope they will persevere to upload their music. And hopefully individuals will pay them a little for their songs/work.
Ah shut up you nostalgic faggots. They don't make music like this anymore because its already been made! Besides, the worse the music gets and the longer this world goes on the closer deliverance gets. Why try to go back in time when we so close to the new world? Just listen to the music and shut up! Or better yet, go read the bible.
@ThrowbackMountainDew God makes LSD or any other drug seem weak, because He's much better! My testimony isn't much different from Stevie's in the chorus of this song. In high school I used to live a whole world of sin. Back then the Bible seemed crazy to me too. It wasn't until God filled me with the Holy Spirit and showed me higher ground that I could comprehend it and be transformed by it. You do need God before you read the Bible. Otherwise, it will appear worse than LSD
@ThrowbackMountainDew I've grown tired of preaching on YouTube. I was just wondering how many people on here knew that this is actually a gospel song, because people I know seem to be kind of oblivious to how preachy Stevie Wonder is. The verses and the chorus have strong Biblical statements. The verses warn about Jesus' second coming and the chorus is about dying to the old life and living a new life in Christ. Pastime Paradise has an even stronger Biblical message.

@123LexLuthor I understand what you're saying but the problem is not remembering the piano keys without seeing them. People who are blind don't even experience that problem simply because they have never seen, Stevie almost certainly knows by touch where he is on the piano. it's likely that relative distance and relative sound on a piano aren't any different to him. Plus with a little experience a person who is able to see can play with his eyes closed as well.
@123LexLuthor I don't mean to disrespect blind musicians, but I think that people make such a big fuss about it, and of course is quite an achievement, but not as extraordinary as some people believe. But that's what I think about the matter of course
@wyatt50000 mate, i'll tel you what, lose your sight and grow a voice anywhere near th great stevie wonder and we'll be arguing on your post over people like you who really just can't appreciate musically talented anywhere near to the caliber of stevie, then we'll try and understand how you're trying to undermine one of the greatest artists of all time.
@homemixer Because if you took all of the so-called talent out there today and put it all together, it still wouldn't be one tenth the talent this man has.
@samsmutt cause it used to be based on good music, that in turn had a following. Now it's people making things they think we want....it's all formulaic.
I think no one in the teen demographic would listen to this. When I was 15 I was more interested in hip-hop acts like Ludacris and Kanye West. To me at that age this song would seem slow and dull. Maybe if big record label CEO's didn't push their music on the youth then talented musicians would be able to have their record heard and possibly liked.
