  • i actually like this one better than the dark knight, why? because it's story is easier to follow, it's not as dark or somber, the fight scenes are a little better, and bake's voice is easier to understand

  • Christian Bale=Best Batman

    Heath Ledger=Best Joker

  • @mesha001717 best MOVIE batman and joker. the animated ones were better

  • @mesha001717 While I agree with your choice for best batman, I must say Jack did a MUCH more entertaining Joker in my opinion. That being said, you are entitled to your opinion and I will respect that.

  • @mesha001717 correction:

    christan bale: best bruce wayne

  • Protection

    I don't need protection

    Protection for them

    XD LOL

  • lol "its a black... *awkward silence* Tanks...*

  • I think bale's acting as batman was way better in "batman begins" than in "dark knight"

  • @orme96 That's because The Dark Knight was all about Joker and so Heath's acting overshadowed Bale's.

  • @TBAGNFACEFUKER True.

  • 6:22 Is that the Joker? It looks a bit like Heath.

  • 02:31 press Y for inverted takedown

  • I want a batrang too :(

  • I personally think Liam Neeson is more badass than Christian Bale.

  • @TechnicallyTechnical That being said, Batman trumps all.

  • Ooooh! Big fat old Judge going out with a little skinny underage girl by the look of that pic! Oh yeah, that's how you provide... "Leverage!"

  • @2:06. " I shall become the Bat."

  • its just the voice that i find weird...

  • i feel bale is a better bruce wayne than he is a batman

  • @mafviseuking999

    Totally.

  • I'm Batman!

  • DO I LOOK LIKE A COP......;-)

  • 1:55 "WE ACCEPT YOU BRUCE!!!!" :D

  • 5:25 sucks to be that guy

  • 2:30, the most badass moment in Batman live-action movie history...

  • best line at the end.... I won't kill you... but I don't have to save you.

  • Billionaire playboy by day... Dark knight crime fighter at night....... sooo.. when does he sleep?

  • @XJadynX Crime never sleep.

  • every time i see that clip with the taser i always think "good thing she didnt hit the cape"

  • LOL it's a black.... Tank.

    He's flying on rooftop!~!

  • "stay calm..." oh ok no problem "YOU'VE BEEN POISONED!" O___O

  • 5:36 did batman just shoot someone in the foot?

  • Does anyone else think that the waiter who tried to throw Bruce out of the restaurant looked like Prince?

  • 4:33 Because Batman is his own God.

  • The only thing I felt was missing from Batman Begins is a Year One like scene of Bruce sketching the suit. I mean we never really see how he fully comes up with the design.

  • Ras al ghul cronies remind me of noob saibot.

  • @ANGELOFDARKification Lol yeah same here man.

  • GORDON: i never said '' thank you''.

BATMAN: and you'll never have to.

that is the true essance of batman not any kind of personal glort or gratitude or anything ever needed just justice againsr evil doer's.

  • At around 3:07, was that a tooth?! Never noticed that before!

  • get more Clips from Arkham Asylum!!

  • What's going through Crain's mind at 5:47: Ah crap, I'm getting incepted again!

  • batman begins is not awsome. it is boring and lame.

  • Chris Nolan turned Bruce Wayne into a douche

  • damn even before he became batman he beat the shit out of those chinese guys O.o

  • "I'm not locked in here with you... you're locked in here with ME." (And I can take all of y'all without resorting to lethal force, too.)

  • "I never knew, I don't know. I swear to God!"

    "SWEAR TO ME!"

Holy shit now I'm worshipping THE GODDAMN BATMAN as both my god and prophet!

  • i've always wondered, when batman knocks out the dude who's peeing, would the dude keep peeing?

  • You missed no end of other epic moments from the film! Lol but the whole movie was great, so to keep the amount of epic moments in a short clip, ya'd never do it and just end up uploading the whole movie itself lol.

  • After watching this vs TDK clip, I feel like this was the better movie.

  • Are people still arguing Bale vs. Conroy? They're both amazing IMO. Sure they have their own flaws. Bale has the right idea but I agree he needs to work on the voice. And if some of you put away your nostalgia for a little bit, though Conroy has the better voice he should have distinguished his Bruce and Batman voice a bit more.

  • I know not everyones a fan of Bale's Batman voice nut people have to understand BATMAN CANNOT TALK LIKE BRUCE WAYNE! see Bruce is a celebrity. If a blonde skinny woman wearing a mask holding a dog in her purse says "Thats Hot" EVERYONE would know it's Paris Hilton. Thats something West, Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney (ugh), & even the great Conroy didn't think of.

  • @SNoVa525 Actually, Conroy was the first to come up with the idea. He clearly has two different voices when voicing Bruce Wayne and Batman. Watch any episode; Bruce's voice is light and soft, whereas Batman's voice is darker, has more gravel to it (although it's nothing like Bale's) and is just downright intimidating. Think about comparing a clarinet to a bassoon, for a musical analogy.

  • I hated how he let Ras die. absolute wimp out that does not fit with the character. Either you kill him to save lives or go with that sense of legal justice that i don't understand and have him convincted and jailed. To make stupid excuses to violate your moral code just makes you weak. you can't have it both ways.

  • DO I LOOK LIKE A COP!

  • i love all form of batman, they're all epic and emotionally connective

  • i wish i had enough money to buy whatever i wanted whenever i wanted so my european honies can swim nude if they want

  • Batman: "Nice coat."

    then flies off.

    FLIES OFF!

is there anything he cant do? lol

  • #OMG Downloacl or watсh thіs movіe onlіne роор.su

  • SWEAR TO ME!!!!!!

  • the most perfect batman is the one from gotham knight, second story where he saves two police officers from the mafia shooting and walks through fire...that's how I always imagined the batman as he should really be !!

  • Batman's "I gargle with thumbtacks and whisky" voice is just silly as hell.

I hope in the next movie, they tone it down a bit. Let him roar and growl a bit when he's interrogating a guy, or in the heat of the moment when it's effective, but when he's holding a conversation with a friend or even otherwise, give him a subtler, more Kevin Conroy-type rasp. And don't do it at all with Lucius or Alfred, they KNOW who you are Bruce, you don't have to disguise your voice

  • @Apollomasque It's not a matter of just disguising his voice. Bale's take on the character is that Bruce Wayne becomes posessed when he puts on the Bat-suit. He becomes a creature, not a guy running around in a suit. Don't forget Batman is a borderline psychopath. He believes he is a bat. That's why I think Christian Bale is the best Batman. It's so much more complex and dark.

  • @americanpsycho28

He can Growl all he wants but still,

    "RAAARRGHHLL!"

He's worse than Harrison Ford in an average movie starring him trying to save his family.

  • @Apollomasque I completely disagree with that. The growling is not really the point here. I'm talking about how complex Bale's Batman is. In Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, his character had three personalities. He managed to nail all 3 sides of Batman's persona plus make it seem like the same character....now that is acting talent.

How many Batman actors (aside from Kevin Conroy) have done that?? NONE.

  • @americanpsycho28

This is my last say in the matter as I refuse to get into an extended argument on a Youtube comment board.

I'm not saying that Bale's performance is bad, all I'm saying is that the GROWL IS SILLY. It's not frightening, it doesn't add to the character in any way and it sounds like the cookie monster. THE GROWL IS SILLY.

  • @Apollomasque I don't see it as an argument...more like a debate lol

Well the growl may not be frightening and feel silly because you're watching it on a screen but I bet if you came across Bale's Batman on the street and he growled at you like that, you would feel very differently. That's the whole point.

Plus, something you should know: Nolan altered Bale's voice in post-production. The voice Bale did on set was much more toned down.

  • Isn't Batman supposed to be a detective and a psychologist? This Batman isn't either of these, and I thought it was mildly disappointing. I also thought that when someone spoke to him it was far from threatening, simply him trying to be threatening.

  • @Jolt4 You didn't think 4:27 was threatening? And he doesn't really have the opportunity to be either in this movie. The director even said that he wasn't much of a detective in Batman Begins. He still traces the rabbits to Crane, but in the Dark Knight he does more detective work. I don't really know what you mean by psychologist.

  • @FowlPrey12 No, at 4:27, it looked more to me that he was raising his voice a lot to sound threatening. The only thing he really had to do would be to raise the line and have a dark tone like in TAS. He didn't have to scream, that was ridiculous IMO.

  • @FowlPrey12 Funny, I found that in the Dark Knight that he was a little more a detective, but still lacked in that field, he just seemed to still be just a heavily armored police officer. By psychologist I mean using his own enemies' quirks against him like he's always done.

Additionally, this incarnation of Bruce Wayne seems like he's overly arrogant and annoying, unlike the usual where he's been a boyscout and strangely polite.

  • @FowlPrey12 don't like the voice...he sounds like having a stick in his ass....kevin conroy's voice fits better into the role of batman...but I agree it's not the same Batman we know from the comic and Animated Series because you can't take him seriously..everyone has another image from the perfect batman in his head and to reveal mine, the one who hits my expectations a 100% is the one from Gohtam Knight in the story in which he saves both police officers from a mafia shooting...that's the one!

  • @FowlPrey12 the one who hits my expectations fully is from Gotham knight, second story, where batman saves the two police officers and walks through fire...I can't imagine another model of the perfect batman

  • @FowlPrey12 No, yeah, he's a psychologist. And a criminoligist. And a detective, tracker, master of disguise. He's fucking Batman.

  • @FowlPrey12 Hell yes it was threatening! 4:27 was my favorite scene of the movie. That's when I truly fell in love with Christopher Nolan's vision of Batman. It was the 1st time an actor in a live action movie was able to mimic the Batman of the animated series. It was like Christian Bale channeled Kevin Conroy somehow. Perfect!

  • @FowlPrey12 hes supposed to catch any criminal, and break any criminal is what he means. but batman was also supposed to be that one guy that you cant beat up

  • @Jolt4

    batman is a crime fighter

  • @Godzilla370 But he was never called Batman the Crime Fighter, he originated at the "World's Greatest Detective".

  • @Jolt4 i know he did but that was in the golden age, that was in the 30's to 40's, batman changed alot from there

  • @Jolt4 so that was in the golden age, he has now become one of the darkest superheros ever, he strikes fear into criminals, fear is his weapon, he is no longer "A detective".he has changed

  • @Godzilla370 Except... no he hasn't. In the comics today he still remains a forensic expert and a detective. So as far as the comic argument goes that's kind of a lost point. The faithful animated things that is out now, during the 90s, and in the comics during both of those eras really portray that he can be a badass superhero, and a detective all at the same time. In these movies he's hardly a detective and needs virtually no forensic evidence to beat up bad guys. It belittles the fans.

  • @Jolt4 fans love this movie, far better than the tim burton movies, batman fans want this movie, its the batman we needed, i mean tim burtons movies were ok, but this is so much better, this movie shows how dark and brooding batman really is, anyway, he doesnt need to do detective work in this movie, there is no need for it, all he needs to do is interrogate criminals to find out what ras al ghul is planning, there was no need for detective work, he did some in the dark knight though,

  • @Godzilla370 As far as movies go, I suppose I can see your point. But saying he's the best BATMAN ever while never reading the comics, some of these people, and not seeing the Animated series, I find a bit laughable. If they saw Kevin Conroy's Batman and Bruce Wayne I think they may agree that he's better on both tokens.

  • @Jolt4 in terms of the best batman voice, i will give it to conory, but on the silver screen, bale gets it

  • @Godzilla370 Well, I never saw Bale as fearsome, maybe slightly resourceful but nothing we haven't seen before. Conroy's Batman has escaped so many situations using only his wits and whatever was around, including the villain's psychological weakness.

  • @Jolt4 this was batman in the begining, the dark knight and batman begins aren't set too far apart, this was his begining, hes only fought 3 REAL super villians, conory has met these villians again and again and has learnt about them more and more, this is batmans first time angainst these villians, whilst conory has more knowledge about these villians as he has fought them time after time, bale at his first time will have to use what he can do, we dont see him as fearsome, but the criminals did

  • @Godzilla370 Well against Clayface in the Animated Series that was the first time he'd faced him. Same with Ventriloquist and Scarface. Hell even Scarecrow, my favorite Batman Villain, (who, unfortunately, was very much underplayed in this movie) had to be overcome with great challenge in the Animated Series the first time he encountered him. Every time Batman first meets a villain, normally, he exploits any known weaknesses about them.

  • @Jolt4 but bale was in different circumstances than conory was in, their wasnt really a weakness to exploit, the villians have been potrayed very differently, it didnt take him long to defeat scarecrow, he lost the first time but beat him the second quite easily, he used scarecrows fear gas angainst him in batman begins, that was a weakness that could have taken him out, i guess bales batman is more realistic and gritty, whilst conorys batman sticks to the comics,

  • @Godzilla370 I can agree with that, but it isn't something I prefer.

  • @Jolt4 I know, but i guess nolan is trying to bring batman to the real world and show how dark and gritty he really is, i guess nolan is just trying to be original and not be too cleshay, i admit, i prefer conory as batman, but i also like bale

  • @Godzilla370 Well then maybe I can agree on that note as well.

  • @Jolt4 cool

  • @Godzilla370 It ain't easy being original.

  • @Godzilla370 Conroy isn't batman hes just the best voice.

  • @Jolt4 yeah as far as what ur saying goes i agree with u...but lets remember this is how he begins.....we cant expect him to jump to his prime if this is the beginning...i am hoping to see his full development in the third movie and how he becomes the great analytical detective that he is supposed to become throughout his legacy...not to mention the embodiment of fear he is trying to represent...

  • @Jolt4

No I know exactly what you mean, but you have to remember this was the early stage of him being batman. The one your accustomed to is where he has a lot of experience. Hopefully in the 3rd movie we get to see more of the Batman we all love to watch. However this one here is still very entertaining.

He wasn't so much a psychologist. I know where your going with that though, he did however train in criminal psychology as well training his mine to mental perfection.

  • @Jolt4 well being as the movie is entitled Batman Begins he only just started, Batman not only learned from travels but his experience in the field.

  • Epic movie, but one thing i don't like about it is Operator !

he made fight look to close, so it's hard to concentrate on awesome chareography ! ((

  • How could you leave out the part where he broke Ra's Al Ghul's sword?

  • the "he's curling a 200 lb. man" quote was the best thing i've ever seen. i never even thought about it until you showed me.

  • 8:13 I love that look on Batman's face. "Dude, you're a dick."

  • I just got an awsome idea who would win in a hand to hand fight Batman or Chuck Norris?...

  • So those guys that trained bruce in this movie, do they have a name, i may have missed it it while watching it. Do they ever appear in the comics?

  • @SuperSaiyanChango They are called the League of Shadows. They are based off the League of Assassin's, a group led by Ra's al Ghul in the comics. The alias Ra's al Ghul uses while he is training Bruce is Henri Ducard. In the comics he is a French detective who trains Bruce when he is in Paris.

  • @FowlPrey12 when the dark knight rises comes out are you gonna make another video?

  • @KennyG881 Yeah, there are other things out now that I could use, it's just a matter of finding the time

  • "A collection of clips from one of the finest comic book movies ever made displaying Batman's first shows of badassery as he begins his war on crime."

No shit! I agree completely, Begins is one of the most awesome movies ever made.

And Batman's totally awesome, too. From comics, to cartoons, to movies, to videogames... Batman's awesome no matter what he shows up in!

He is the most awesome superhero ever! =D

  • The only think I can criticize in Batman Begins is the fight sequence at 2.42. No Mr. Nolan, it doesn't make Batman look like a force of nature, it makes you cameraman looks like a spastic having a heart attack. And all the hard work the stunts team put in coordinating a 1 on 10 fight along with Bale's weeks of preparation went down the crapper. Nolan is great but doesn't have a great notion of how to shoot fight scenes. In that sense, Batman and Batman Returns were better.

  • what would you call that ? a damn good television god he is awesome

  • He truly is awesome. @ 2:00, he doesn't get bitten by a single one of them.

  • this was a good film but the Ra'z Ahl Ghul story wasn't from the comics. All in all, good film.

  • i dont see how batman just ascends at 3:13 because i thought the cape only provides gliding

  • grapple. In Batman Begins they were big on not playing the sound that goes with the grapple or showing the rope to make him seem more demonic and mysterious. Same with 5:40

  • @FowlPrey12 It looks better that way, almost like he's really flying.

  • batman begins is more better than the dark knight except that joker made the dark knight awesome too

  • 3:00 to 3:16 Epic!

  • I always liked the way Batman looked at 3:27. Badass

  • Me too, except when KH comes it, she kills the moment for me

  • only one question, when christian bale wears the batman mask, does he paint his eyes on black?? it looks like...

  • @predic017mario yes he does. all the live action batmen have

  • Nice video

  • 5:54 why batman is awesome!

  • this movie is the first movie that bought back how batman SUPPOSE TO BE DARK AND SCARY USING FEAR AS GREATIST WEAPON

  • hahaha he's curling a 200 lb man

  • Batman Begins & The Dark Knight are the acme of comic films , visual Storytelling doesnt get any better this and that Hans Zimmer music to boot ..... the bar has indeed been raised, I dare Spiderman , Superman , FF and all the rest of the junk out there to best this ! Hope some day Nolan will do the Frank Miller Novels.

  • "What do you call that, sir?" *Pointing at destruction caused by the Batmobile*

    "...Damn good television."

  • The taser didn't shock him because he's Batman.

  • @kronus3rd

It's not mind over matter, it's bat over matter.

The electricity isn't stopped by his body armour, it just knows better.

  • It's a special kind weave. The material is not metal so it doesn't conduct. She'd have more luck aiming at his mouth.

  • quick question, when she tazers bruce, he doesn't get shocked, even after he uses his hand to pull it off. is this because the suit is heavily insulated with rubber or the leads have to touch the skin? i always thought it was cool i just never knew how he did it. any thoughts? thanks :)

  • The way i see it is the leads have to pierce the skin. that's why it works through clothing. since that "sucker will stop a knife," and "anything but a straight shot," i think it has no trouble with a tazer. when he grabs it, it again doesn't pierce his skin.

  • ah okay so that's how a tazer works, thanks. :)

  • question what suit is better the dark knight or in batman begins? i thought it could stop a knife but how can the dog bite him in the dark knight and pierce through the suit???

  • @kenclint18 Hmm, that's a good point. The Batman Begins suit is supposed to be armored everywhere but more restrictive. The Dark Knight suit uses plates of armor so there's room to move, but where the plates separate is vulnerable. I'm not sure why the dog can bite through though. Maybe the arm isn't as armored

  • ahh thanks.. 1 more... in cartoons batman uses his grapple but he doesnt connect it to the belt its not good hahah

  • @kenclint18 Well, I think in the movies they just took a more realistic approach to it. There's no way you could make a grapple that small, but if you put the motor to reel you up on a belt, that's possible. Search for the "atlas powered ascender" and you'll see

  • "WHERE ARE YOU?!"

    "Here."

    "AHH!"

  • omfg why didnt you show the fight with Batman and Ra's.

  • I showed the result of it. and half the time, Batman was on the ground

  • I have a question. When Batman lifted Falcone out of the car after smashing in the window, he just glides away...was he flying, or...? Cause I didn't see him use the grappling gun, and he sure didn't extend his wings...

  • It was the grappling belt. I assume he had it already attached to his belt when he glided onto the car offscreen, then he just rewound the cable. A similar effect can be seen at 5:39

  • 2:39 was epic.

  • Why don't they pronounce Ra's Al Ghul's name properly, it's "raysh" not "raz"

  • - "What would you call that"

    - Damn Good Television"

    - "I never said thank you"

    - "And you'll never have to"

    He's just awesome

Still, RazaGul (or however you spell it) was immortal in the original Batman?

  • He is awesome.

And yeah, Ra's al Ghul was immortal, but not naturally. He would age, but then go in a Lazarus Pit and be rejuvenated. It made him crazy though.

  • lol batman at the backround when rachel freeze and ya thats right lol

  • Come on guys, Nolan didn't want to copy The DCAU Batman. He wanted to show everyone HIS idea of what Batman would be like. Honestly, I think Nolan's Batman is the best Batman so far.........no offense Mr. Conroy......

  • I would agree that Nolan's setting of Gotham as well as the storyline and the reality of it makes such an epic masterpiece. However, in terms of the best portrayal of the batman persona, I'll have to go with the DCAU batman. Apart from Conroy doing such a great voiceover, that batman is always one step ahead of everyone and has a firmly established mindset of what his purpose is.

  • Chris Nolan's Batman was much too physical. He had none of the guile and cunning of the DCAU Batman I grew up watching.

  • not only that but the DCAU Batman didnt sound like his vocal cords were riped to shreads I can get close to the DCAU batman's voice with out trouble this batman sounds like he needs a Recola

  • One problem I had about the new batman movies is that they forget the sound that comes with the grapel hook (it kinda sounds like a shotgun) I mean if your going to have him shoot it off off screan atleast include the sound of it being shot off

  • Comment removed

  • In the movie he uses a grapple gun with a linear induction motor instead of gunpowder. That's why it sounds different.

  • ... why the hell did they do that?!? atleast the transformer movies kept the transformation sound the least they could have done is kept the grapel gun sound

  • I like your science.

  • The voice is perfect at 8:36.. perfect.!

  • i like the part when the soldat says "sanatary" bruce "why?" "for protection!" "i dont need protection" "protection for them" and all the prisoner is laing on the graund

  • Me too. It's "Solitary!" though

  • 7:54 is damn funny

when i first saw Batman Begins i lol'd

  • Yeah, it's really badass. He's like, "yeah, I just flew across the city to kick your ass in."

  • yea that too,

i actually meant "You took my advice on theatrics quite literally" part

  • there was an episode batman beyond when bruce became younger and fought along terry the episode with rach al ghul's daughter

  • you can use that

  • that must of hurt like hell when he was hanging on the mountain trying to save R'as

  • Actually at 1:28, he is doing a 200 pec fly, not curl.

Much more impressive than a curl.

  • good call

  • or how about Burton's batman. The 1st was awesome the second one was okay.

  • 200lbs at least.

  • hey, could make superman is awesome? i know that batman must be ur fav, ( he's mine 2)but what about the man of steel?
