It sorta makes sense to throw you in. That angel in the beginning asked if the Main Character's memory was damaged also, which it probably is. That way, you're sort of put in the character's shoes: confused. That's the way I see it anyway.

i have this game for the wii and i didnt really find it confusing at all. i also have a warning be careful of what u pick up cause i started one on easy and i picked up a weapon with a glue brand so when i got to hte bottom ( witch was after level -400 cubics) i couldn't fire the angelic rifle at the girl. i ended up dying. if u throw something at her it says "The Absolute God ...."

apparently at floor 1,600 you get a pass straight to the bottom >>; though I think somehow I missed it.

theirs technically 99,999 floors. there *is* no way out except to die. if you die, the plot changes. its like demon souls but worse.

You have to "beat" the neuro tower (-1600) 4 time (2 Shoting in god , 2 dont shot in god) When Longneck Buried himself you have to Transfer a Heart Seed , and then kill him to give his Idea Sephirah to the Big False Angel, beat the neuro tower AGAIN! and you can enter in the Lab to get "Pure Water" so you can unlock the tower to -2???? , so that the far i get

honestly, I have no idea. ^-^; I'm too stubborn to die on purpose, though, so when i get in a situation i can't get out of, i usually reset and try again. The way i figure it, something has to happen sooner or later, so i just keep going through the neuro tower until it does.

Mainly all the characters and stuff, if you listen to 'horned girl' with the 'twitching eyes' then you might see what i mean. I usually play happier rpgs like final fantasy and stuff so games like this scare me easily... I don't like the 'metabemes' either =S

thers the main series which incleds lucifers call. they are usallly have a post apycolyptic setting.

then thers the spin offs

digital devil saga which has a sci fi setting.

persona which has a high school setting

and devil summoner which has a 1920's setting.

It's a Roguelike. Roguelikes are NEVER big on story; that's part of the way the genre works. Roguelikes are about the gameplay, not story or flashy cutscenes.

That being said, Baroque actually does have a detailed storyline; but you have to actually WORK to reveal it, unlike most RPGs that just hold your hand these days.

Baroque isnt for everyone; experts only, really. Great game though.

Just start playing this game yesterday,first gameplay reached the bottom of neural tower and shoot the angel in a matter of minutes,than started again.From there on things started to pop out:dungeon training,NPC's talking more,different cutscenes,more weapons,everything's has a dark gloom,love it!The thing is,if your not into RPG's,and i mean Role Playing Games NOT Devil May Cry or God Of War,don't even try it.That way you're one least moron yelling that this game is:confusing,boring,lame,gay!

if u die it's easy 2 start off where u last were if u saved... just make sure u get another baroque after u die if u don't want 2 continue from where u last saved. But i didnt know what i was doing and i threw the gun at an enemy and lost it ;_; i hadn't even used up all its bullets yet...can u get more ammo 4 it?
