I am not against the slaughter. BUt I am gainst the sneaky BLM and the ranchers lying about it. If its against the law to slaughter BLM horses than its against the law. The loop hole is the BLM sells the horses than they are not BLM horses anymore? or the fact that a blind eye is turned at the borders. Trent Loos (a rancher) said BLM horses do not go to slaughter - he is incorrect. The man who says BLM horses show up all the time in Canadian slaughterhouses is with the Canadian slaughter industry - he should know. The man who says no inspections take place at the border is with USDA - he should know. Basically, the rancher is wrong. BLM horses go to slaughter and there are no inspections at the border.
Remember it was the South WesternTexas Cattle Raisers that were in the plants in Texas. They were getting $3.00 per head slaughtered and have added the lie that if we stop horse slaughter we will attack the beef and pork industry next..
The above (SWCRA) was created long ago for stolen cattle..NOT a foreign business that was operating illegal for years and NOT paying gross income taxes or export tariffs.. This is the kind of business Trent is promoting NOT American Horse Rescues..
Trents Goons consists of Frank Bowman,David D., Sue Warus,Tom Lenz and other goons that have not decide to take it on the road to milk inocent people by lying to them.
Recently David and Sue Warus solitated $3,000 for donations to promote irresponsible and the slaughter of good young healthy horses. Why because if they get slaughter back all can profit either directly or indirectly.. Auctioneers, Killers, haulers, Overbreeders,and the Cattle Association need each other.
Trent loos has a six grade education he and his goons want slaughter back for the kickbacks of irresponsible people who created this problem.. The Economy is the real reason irresponsible people are releasing horses these people are criminals responsible people just do NOT do these crimes. Trent and his goons do NOT want to protect the horses but reward criminals. Trent and his goons have NO HISTORY of helping promoting or donating to any horse rescues in the US.. Their history speaks clearly..
We have proof that Mustangs have went to slaughter before in Texas and recently in Illinois when FORD jumped in to rescue the 29 mustangs that ended up in the plants.. It was a single trusting USDA inspector that leaked out the crimes.. There were other incidences when stolen horses were stolen and slaughtered one being from Canada actually made it out and was obtained by a responsible horse owners in illinois then a few days sent back home at the owners expense.

The way they do the round up is sick and abusive.There is plenty of land for these horses to run free. They also have a way to sterilize this horses so they dont become over populated. If there is not brand inspections going on to see if any of the horses going to slaughter in Mex. Or Canada are BLM horses, how can the cattlemen Assoc. say that this is not being done. The gentleman that said that once these horses cross the borders they are considered BLM horses and are being slaughterd. He stated he this is what is happening. So there are multiple of comments that just do not addup or make any since because someone is looking the other way on this issue. Loop holes.
I don't pretend to know everything about this situation ,but looking at it from the outside in, it seems to me that they are trying to wash their hands of what happens to these horses after they sell them. If you sell off these wild horses, you and you "Alone" are the sole reason these horses are being captured & killed. Sounds to me like someone is broading the scope of this horrible roundup & extermination of Wild horses, to take the heat off thenselves. Discusting!
