ive been interested in the way your doing that in the pan, my only knowledge consists of the brf cakes in the jars, what do you do differently to get the mycelium to from in trays? any help would be appreciated. and which works quicker/ produces larger yeilds/ and is more contaminate resistant?

you have to use things like rye seed and basically every 3 to 7 days you shake up the jar so its always crumbled, then you pour it out on a try once its fully colonized (also add a casing layer to keep moisture in)

brf cakes (aka PF cakes) usually yield more and very good at fighting off contaminates

i find the loose substrates colonize quicker, because the spores are well dispersed and they have more places to start growth, unlike pf cakes which start in 1 to 4 place [inoculation point(s)]

Just go to there products page & click on spores or Pscilocybe spores or whatever & choose your species & order a syringe kit...the spores come pre-loaded in the syringes (just make sure you don't order a spore print)

psylocybe cubensis B+ strain is the easiest and most satisfying.. if you eat 20 grams fresh... you will trip balls.. doesnt matter wether or not you take hawaians... they are hard to grow but potent

yes 8gs dry. i see my comment above had a thumb down, it wasnt meant to be advice to take 80g fresh first time I typed it wrong as I was being sarcastic. 80g fresh is definately NOT recommended first time trust me! I would of had a much more enlightening experience had I only taken say 20 grams but I was just so eager to experience it! Greedy in a sense.

@mykologist I'm growing Cambodia's at the moment, and they look exactly like these. But they definantly don't grow as fast as your saying ;p it's day 17 right now, and i got like 8 baby shrooms (about half an inch) and a big one (about 6 inches). I guess it was like day 13 when the first one appeared.. but i've even red that it's possible for them to show up after THREE weeks. Oh well, why should i care when they grow like monsters in the end =)
