2: hugz made it to finals in evo world 07 and he's the foremost samus mainer

3: ken isai and hugz are all on west coast so keeping true to regional crews, i think only west could have as strong of an open as east.

i play ics and vs a top notch marth with good spacing such as m2k or ken u only get like 1-2 grabs a match. 3 tops. imo wobbling is fair because marths have that gay 7 foot long sword

you need a synched grab to wobble. chu could have very easily opted to do the d-throw reverse d-air cg (inescapable on falcon iirc) but instead opted to wobble for personal preference. falcon dies when he gets grabbed, wobbles or not.

as for vidjo... well, he choked on a mute city counterpick vs ic with peach. that matchup is gay enough as it is, so i'd cut the ics some slack :(

Their is a reason most tournaments ban wobbling.

First of all, its almost impossible to "deal with it" because that would mean never getting grabbed, and even the best players get grabbed.

Second of all, its not that hard to do, so its not like someone can mess up on it...

If you were the worst player in every respect, this would also involve keeping Nana alive, staying alive yourself, approach (wavedashing and the like), and other things, where insufficient skill in these areas makes it easy for the opponent to avoid getting grabbed. Also, wobbling is insanely difficult to maintain. I'd say you deserve that stock if you can 0-death it.

The hard part is getting everything perfect. The presence of platforms alone can screw with wobbling, and you're dead if you get grabbed by a good ICs player anyway, so wobbling doens't really change anything. It just makes matches quicker.

Ah, because if Nana is on top the platform, it actually takes a bit for you to wait and then have her set up correctly . . . The biggest detriment to wobbling besides not getting grabbed is just positional play, and that depends entirely on Nana. If the ICs are separated via any sort of barrier, like a platform, then they can't wobble immediately, and any good player can break out before Nana gets close. That's why when that situation occurs, just d-throw and follow with a combo.

shl isnt too hard to escape, depending on the opponent, but a good player can escape the best spaced falcos. If you're marth, you can chaingrab to death if not close a fastfaller like falco, so it evens out, assuming you're playing marth, which i would, or maybe peach, or falco myself now that i tihnk about it. Wobbling was NAMED after Wobbles the Phoenix, the creator of the technique. He had to have been good with the IC's at one time, at least.

Personally, I don't like the move (I prefer the non-wobbling grab combos) but if the tournament allows it, then not using it would be considered sandbagging.

Wow Drephen vs M2K was awesome. I was cracking up. Drephen tried doing something then spotdodgeing once but M2K waited for the the dodge and fsmashed him. So he increases the number of spot dodges so he doesn't get punished, first 2 then 3 in a row then sidestep sidestep sidestep sidestep, I call it the sidestep combo. But I have to admit the sidestep power series did work =)
