I don't think punk should only be a young person's game. Isn't it a living culture, meaning people grow old in it? Or is it just yet another genre of rock music, and therefore only belongs to "youth?" Also, punk always championed ugliness, so what better kind of music for people who are aging, putting on weight, going bald? Unlike other aging pop stars, you don't see punks getting personal trainers and plastic surgery.

ha ha yeah it is a uniform realy , but it still says something . and it looks marvelouse , makes you feel like a warrior on occasions. and better to see a youngster in a subs t.shirt than a coldplay t.shirt or some sporting motife nonsense.

used to go to the fuck reading fest back in the day,am going to this years blackpool. kinda dreading it but really looking forwards to it too.

hope to see some bands under 40 year old :) punks best played by young oiks IMO. theres other genres to grow old in but punk music? something a bit odd about dads up on stage singing "fuck the world"

Its not just about the music though,its a whole social event which I certainly didn't expect the first time I went and now I'm looking forward to seeing people I met last year and the year before...and quite possibly film a few bands.

Was their,Remember it all like it was yesterday!Had the atmosphere of late 70`s early 80`s gigs!Every band sounded excelent,4skins were a wicked ending to the festival!Cant wait till 2009 rebellion,Line up is looking good already,Those who think punks dead should visit Blackpool early august!(but its no place for idiots so best not lol) Luv the video !

Sound like a rather better atomsphere than some of thos era's gigs- some people could be a tad silly back then- almost all have grown up- thank goodness!
