Chelsea controlled the entire game. Barca had practically no shot at the goal. How could the ref know that there would be opportunity for him to help barca later. He can't see into the future. Puyols and Marquez were not playing. Taking away Abidal was a huge gift to Chelsea. Hiddink made a mistake of taking off a striker (Drogba) and but on a defender (Belletti). That relieved pressure on Barca's depleted defense and allowed them an attacking opportunity.

Tom Henning Ovrebo is either totally blind, or this is the most obvious case of match fixing in the history of sport. all he needed to do was give one of them, and none of this would of happened. the one which is the most blindingly obvious is piques handball. anelka was through for a certain goal. pique obviously intentionally handles the ball, preventing anelka from scoring a certain goal. the ref was positioned perfectly. but unfortunately, our sport remains corrupt and the best team lost.

1st one, at that time, a lot of people thought the foul occurred outside of the penalty area and Malouda pushed his way through. 2nd one was a penalty. But Drogba spent the entire game falling. Plus he has a reputation. It was hard to believe him. 3rd was a penalty. 4th is a judgement call. Eto'o turned to avoid getting hit on his chest. He didn't see the path of the ball. Chelsea controlled the entire game. Barca had practically no shot at the goal. How could the ref know that there would be opportunity for him to help barca later. He can't see into the future. Puyols and Marquez were not playing. Taking away Abidal was a huge gift to Chelsea. Hiddink made a mistake of taking off a striker (Drogba) and but on a defender (Belletti). That relieved pressure on Barca's depleted defense and allowed them an attacking opportunity.

btw, drogba half the player i think he is? he and torres are tops in England which, arguably, is the best league in the world (Spain being the other). One of top 3 or 4 worldwide. yet another meaningless point.

I don't consider Drogba a bad player, of course he's good, he's having a great year with Chelsea. Yet until he can clinch a CL title and dive a little less he won't be considered one of the game's greats.

@FamousCFC2 big words yes i play football the only thing I saw was many bad calls, the worst going Chelsea's way when Abidal was sent of for Anelka tripping over his fat feet. @camhirtle you should never even try to talk about football, yes we didn't score and had some chances but we also had 3 clear and blatent pens denied it was embarrassing and uefa are corrupt, there's too much politics involved it's complete bollocks, we would have scored at least one of the pens and it would have changed the game, if it had happened to your team u would be saying exactly the same as me!

@JB5GoIrish Barcelona had won one CL trophy up to 2006 and Real Madrid has dominated the SPL historically. We finally put together a good team with a good coach and veteran players and win two CL's and look at everyone jump on the Barca hating bandwagon. Excuses are tools of the incompetent.

@camhirtle I never claimed to be a Real fan. Up until this game I had no issues with Barcelona. Had you won fairly I still wouldn't. But the actions of Barcelona in this game shone a new light on them for me. Iniesta's goal was magic - Chelsea shouldn't have let it happen in the first place. But that doesn't change the fact that the goal shouldn't have mattered in the end.
