You can almost imagine leaves falling as he plays soprano on down on the piano. Ironic that this song hit #1 in the Autumn of 1955. Knowing my family, they were preparing for Thanksgiving at my maternal grandparents home. This was a bittersweet time in my family. My uncle & his wife welcomed their 1st child, a daughter. But 1 week after her birth, my mother went into pre-mature labor, resulting in a stillborn girl. But over the years we took the good & bad. We have to.

It's not so much memories. I wasn't even born & adopted yet, but I am sharing significant events that happened in my family when these songs hit #1. These events occured when this song hit #1. Another event would occur in my family when Tennessee Ernie Ford hit #1 with Sixteen Tons. I will post it when I get there. This was a good event. That's all I will say at this point.

Thank You so much for sharing the beauty of Autumn in Ontario! Nature never fails to impress us with a variety of colors. The Maple in front of my house is a brilliant yellow. The other type in back has some green still, but is quickly catching up.

I've missed you. Yes please put up more videos. The day after my last shot of my yellow maple out front...the winds came and within one day all the trees were bare. Autumn is such a pretty season..wish it lasted longer.
