To say this is a challenging freestyle is an understatement. The strong beat requires a precise tempo of the horse's gaits. Moreover, the pair strings together a series of difficult moves, one right after the other. Well done Mr. Hickey! Bring home that Gold in Rio!
Yeah, too bad about the video lagging, I'm sure if it was clearing I'd be able to judge it better, but he seems to be doing very well. I love dressage, it's so beautiful.
This combination is one we can all be proud represents our country. They deserve every award they have won!

I LOVE this! Chris Hickey is my new favorite!
The music is from the early 1990's techno era...can't remember the name of the song...but it works so well!

The freestyle was designed with Anne Guptill of Equestrian Arts Production, East Haddam, Connecticut. Sorry, no info on the music.

I saw nelsonreed's comment and wanted to say that now hes pratically my neighbor. I actually work at Hilltop with him

Wow, that flashing sign in the background is so obnoxious and distracting!
It stinks that chris relocated to Maryland. (well, for us around here, anyway.) He used to practically be my neighbor.

The flashing shows up only on the video...in real life, it is a steady color. Guess the do it just to avoid the videographers!
Sorry about losing Mr. Hickey. But might just be a great gain for the USA team and hopeful for the Olympics.
