  • Why does burning paper make sparks?

  • @BankaiIchigo12345 , Thats metal not paper

  • @tampitudemine haha some people just dont know the difference you know

  • Where I can buy a laser like that? I'm serious needing.

  • where i can finde sutch a laser in dvd wrhiter or what ....many sad that blue ray reader and XBOX360 has a powerful diod but this one i dou't finding it in sutch divaice i'm desperate whene i can find one need it for a big project

  • this would be great for a fast plotter...

  • Now kill justin bieber with it :)

  • That would be 60,000 milliwatts. You can make one for about $1,000 but don't do it unless you really know what you are doing. That thing will blind you so fast that you wouldn't even know that it happened before it was too late. Keep in mind that some people worry about eye damage with a 5 milliwatt laser pointer, but this thing is more than 10,000 times more powerful.

  • yeah my bad 2 many 0'

  • @mapleguy02564386

    60watts=6,000mili watts

  • @chrix707

    60 000 milliwatts*

  • @chrix707 what's 6000/1000? 6... keep practicing your unit conversions

  • Excellent for any kind of etching. Would recommend adjusting the power level to suit what application it will be needed for.

  • idot thats not 60 watts it would murn a holy thru your house

  • @ubercharger9000 Thats BS. I have seen a 100W laservideo posted by a person on LPF It has a hard time burning through a 1 inch block of wood... How does it burn through WHITE paint?

  • takes 1 min to burn a 1inch line? ya good luck finding this usefull...*pulls out can opener*

  • it's 60 watts, you want something better get something with more power, if you have the money of course to build it and the intelligence to make it work. Think before you type incoherent

  • Nice work!

What kind of laser diode did you use? and where did you get it from? What is pricey?

I've been trying to find one powerful enough to do the same thing as you did in the video, but i still haven't been able to find any.

    Thanks,

    Dmitry

  • @centducktape dragonlasers if you havent yet

  • Hi!

I'm new to the world of High Power Laser Diodes!

If the beam is Infra Red, what causes the "purple" glow, or in some cases "bright white" glowthat I have seen with some of the Higher Power LD?

    Many thanks

    PUR010

  • @PURELIGHT010 That color is how a camera CCD sees Infrared. In real life you would see no light at all, or possibly a very dim dark red color, depending on how sensitive your eyes are to 808nm light.

  • I hae a similar unit, but I'm having a problem in assembling the water cooling , will you be able to build me one, and send it to me, i'll pay you if I can afford it, I have the unit and the powersupply, all i need is the water cerculating , I havethe water pipes in my laser like yours though, but I need the device, will you beable to make me one

  • Now make it in pistol form and you got somethin.

  • Net schlechte!
