The dough looked tough to work with but the results were very nice. They maintained the detail of the cookie cutters quite well. I love those little springy things!!
@yoyomax12 They were DELICIOUS! It was hard to work with, but I think it needed to just sit out a little longer--it was too cold. Once it warmed up, it was easy to deal with!

It's because you cracked the egg on the side of the bowl. If you crack it on something flat it just breaks, but if you crack it on the edge of something you run the risk of making little shell shards. And if you had given the dough a quarter turn every time you rolled it, it might not have broken like that on the edges. Sorry, I watch too many cooking shows.
