Am is down down, down up(This one faster), then change to Asus4, down down, down up. then Asus2, down down, down up. Here u go to Am down, down up. Asus2 down. Then Am down down, down up, Asus4 down down., down up. THen one down for the Em.

and i think all the song have the same rythm, down down, down up.

The main reason you might not have cry'd watching Angel Beats!, because it speaks to everyone on differnt levels. People who have been through a lot of shit in thier lives, live with major regreates, want to give up on life or have simply given up already; will feel that much more saddened after watching this. I envy you for not feeling the same way I felt after watching Angel Beats!.

@seanqwertybob For me, the reason I love this character is because, as a musician, I can relate to her. She had a troubled life, so music was her only form of escape, and in the end, she ended up escaping from Purgatory, or wherever the hell the show takes place, through her music. It's beautiful, tragic, and the scene this song plays in is executed well, so it adds and extra layer of emotion to both the song and the character. As always, that's just my opinion.

@crotchshot101 cheers for the thoughtful response... my only problem with this is that her 'salvation' hardly seemed sincere, when only 10 minutes earlier she was still fervently defying death. Just because she acknowledged what joy singing brought to her, doesn't mean she had accepted death. Im just implying that the show can be artificial at times.

@seanqwertybob I agree, I wish they had explained this sudden change of heart a little more. I think they might have been under a time limit, like the 13 episode limit, and they wanted to set a theme for the show at the beginning. The problem is, it comes right out of nowhere, so it's not as emotional as it could have been. If nothing else, despite all this, the show still manages to be awesome.

I lived in an incredibly small house with parents who (instead of fighting) were always, always drunk. Eventually I started just sitting in a corner and letting them be, until one day i saw a Piano, I was very young. I started to play it everyday, until i could play it well even with people around me. Music saved my life, I have yet to save others with it as well...

I don't like the idea of a second season personally.

I prefer knowing that instead of staying, Otonashi decided to move on since Kanade left, and that they met in a new life. From the looks of the second epilogue, they're making a "what-if" thing for if Otonashi really decided to stay and help other ppl move on. And to wait for Kanade to come back. Seems a lot more sad than the first ending, the one in the very end of the last episode...
