Before, I have to say, I really liked Envy, he was my favorite FMA character. But, after seeing this episode, I completely changed. It shifted and Lust became my favorite homunculi, cause in the end, she turned out to be on the good side. The thing that pissed me off though, was when she died an episode later. And just when her character was at its best!

so ed has no reaction to his dad being impossibly old and hearing it for the first time? sometimes, the pacing of this show creates its own loopholes and shortcomings in how the characters receive and react on situations. I see it consistently through every episode at least once. Not that this is surprising, i just wish there was a better way to hear a great story then a series of 28 minute episodes restricted by their own time limit and budget. perhaps my own imagination will fill this void.

@JuliettW93 It's the symbol of Nicolas Flamel, who had some connection to the Philosopher's Stone. I think he was the first who made one, or with the first idea, something like that. And how it's been passes down, I'm guessing Flamel had a apprentice who he gave the symbol to and so on until it got down to Ed & Al.

It's also in the transmutation circle that weakens homunculi (like with greed)

I really like this series, but the thing i wish they would change that they did well in brotherhood is how they don't go into depth with the different countries, like they don't even bring up Xing, even though it's on a map everytime u see one. And how they barely mention dracma, the only countries they really define in this anime are ishbal, central, and Lior, or is lior just a city?? I'm pretty sure it's just a city.
