Man as much as I liked Ducktales and Darkwing. This will always be the centerpiece of Disney Afternoons for me. I loved plans and placing the Jungle Book characters in their own setting was such a creative move on Disney's part. Really the other show just seem so tame in comparison. But like I said thats me, Love Talespin and brought back great memories to see the intro again.

See now this is what I'm talking about. cartoons like this don't appear on TV anymore because everyone who runs the networks are stupid. If we had cartoons like this on TV now then the world would be fun. Plus the Cartoons from the late 80s early 90s had the best fucking openings evar!!!!!

Anyone ever notice that alot of the charecters are from jungle book. Baloo the bear (and his nicname of papa bear), Shere Khan the tiger, and (King) Louie. i didnt even notice till i a couple years ago lol

I reviewed the nes licensed game based on this show and it really sucks. Funny how I have this favorited, but that game doesn't do this show justice, as a bullet shooter in which you fire 1 bullet at a time.

TaleSpin was a pretty fun show. Just the idea of seeing most of the characters from The Jungle Book in a cartoon show every week (& Who doesn't love The Jungle book disney movie?) was a fun idea... brings back allot of memories:)

Duck Tales will forever be the pinnacle of the afternoon Disney fare for myself but TaleSpin is definately a close second. Do kids today even know of these shows? I mean, at least when I was a kid we watched these 'new' shows as well as the old Warner Bros and Disney shorts my paretnts grew up on, but I never see any old cartoons anymore!

Ok i'm trying to find out what season a particular episode was let me breifly describe it Baloo and umm the kid what's his name went into the desert and they found this chime that made a city ride out of the ground and in the end they had to ring another chime and made the city sink back under the sand this has been bothering me literally for years

That should be the episodes "For whom the bell klangs." According to the list on wikipedia those are episodes 39 and 40, originally aired november 27th and 28th of 1990. It doesn't list the actual seasons, but if you know where they begin that should help ^_^.

I can peg the beginning of the downslide--"Jungle Cubs". That's when they started moving away from original ideas with classic characters and toward what most Disney animated shows are now: direct adaptations of their films, playing forever until everyone is sick of them. I never dreamed I could actually become bored with Timon & Pumbaa or Stitch until Disney gave them all TV shows and reran them to death.
