I was around the center field when the comeback started, even though my friends are met fans (I am too, but I also like the red sox ) wanted to go home I told them to stick around atleast until the end, and when J.D. Drew hit the homerun my friends were left speechless (atleast until we went back to New York)

I was there!!! and sitting right by where this was video-taped. i was sooooo glad we didn't leave. thousands had left by then. strange this game hasn't been held up there with the likes of Game 6 in 1975. it was a much more improbable win than any MLB game in post season in history!!

NL players have a hard time adjusting to the AL, and drew has done just fine...I think his numbers will agree. He has become one of the better hitters in the AL.. do you feel the same about Beckett. He was a national league pitcher that has thrived in the AL to become ONE of the most dominant pitchers in the game?

This kind of reminds me of game 5 of the 1986 American League Championship Series except in this game the Red Sox overcame a 7 run deficit starting in the 7th inning as opposed to overcoming a 4 run deficit in the 9th inning.

The Red Sox came this close in 2008 to being a dynasty. Had they gone back to the World Series, they would have won. I would predict that much. But it just wasn't to be.

Having said that, it will still be necessary for the Red Sox to not win the World Series in 2009 in order for their dynasty hopes to be finally crushed.

I don't get the hate on Tampa fans....of course a team doesn't have a solid fan base when it loses 100 games a year every year and has only been around 10 years. The thing about Fenway, it's ALWAYS like that, even during the regular season when the real fans are filling the seats. I should say, especially during the regular season.
